Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 3..

img_2726-mediumAs well as the greens and muted pinks and reds , there was also blue tones in this collection, so I separated out the colours and the next couple of cards are made with the blue tones.  I used the 6″ pad  for the background piece, as well as the die cut bracket, and inked all the edges with tea Dye ink. The bird image is another image from the matching 12 x 12 pull apart sheet. The flowers are from Green Tara, and I punched out some leaves. This card is one of my favourites because I love the mother bird feeding the chick, and it makes a lovely Mothers day card. Our weather here in Adelaide has cooled right down, and we have a little bit of rain too, it’s glorious!I am meeting up with my sister this afternoon to go over our excursion choices for our cruise…it’s really happening!  Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane number 1…

img_2722-mediumToday we are starting a new collection of cards made with Kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane paper collection. I love this collection, and the class I am teaching this week uses  this paper too! This card has papers from the 6″ pad, and matching collectables on it. I have added some flowers, ribbon and lace ( I picked this lace up in an op shop in a country town close to Adelaide)Just a quick post today as I must go and organise tea, til tomorrow….

PS I Love You..

This is the last of my Boxed cards. I made the flower spray, added some black accents to tie in with the sentiment which is a collectable from the PS I love you collection from Kaisercraft.Again this is a card that could be used for wedding, engagement, valentines or anniversary. This weekend has been very busy, with very little time in the craft room, but i will be in there this afternoon as I have a class to set up, I am trying to get ahead with them as the cruise is only 2 and 1/2 weeks away and I won’t be crafting then ( teaching, but no crafting!)til tomorrow….img_0727-medium

More die cuts on cards…

img_6791img_6792Todays cards are put aside for an order, I like they way they came out and will more than likely design a class around these dies. The dies are by Paper Rose, and they are: leaf scrolls, vases and stems, flower set one,and the embossing folder is a kaisercraft one. I also like this embossing folder – it fits my size card ( 15 x 21 cm folded) perfectly. I also embossed the vases. A terrific way to use up scraps of cardstock.Well, today roast is in the oven ( bit of a poor choice really as its so humid here today) washing is sorted, everyone is happy so i am off to the craft room! Til tomorrow….

Age birthday card..

img_0698-mediumTodays card is the last for now of my age birthday series, and like the previous cards uses Kaisercraft PS I Love you paper for the bottom layer. The die is Paper Rose Ornate Circle, one butterfly is from the collectables pack of the same paper collection, and I made a small spray of flowers with a ribbon bow to finish. These are actually quite quick and easy cards if you take the time to prepare a few sprays while sitting watching TV in the evening, This one in particular was just a case of winding the flower stems around each other, placing them at different heights before winding. Once all joined together you can bend the wires to spread them out or shape them around the circle as I have done here. A leaf, stamens and some silver thread is all added after the spray is stuck on the card front. Another scorcher here today,no good for crafting as the glue drys before I am ready to stick anything to it! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Ooh La La number 4..

img_8028-mediumSorry I have been missing a little bit this week, but I have been working extra hours due to the Christmas rush at work.Over the next couple of weeks I may be posting a little less due to the same reason. We are going back to my Ooh La La cards made with Kaisercraft Ooh La La paper collection and matching collectables. This is the paper I reached for when I  damaged my shoulder and couldn’t do any die cutting – things have improved only a little but I have become adept at die cutting with my left hand, but still avoid it when I can!  For this card I used papers from the 6″ pad., and layered them up, fussy cutting around the tops of the flower paper layer, and a tag from the pad. A collectables butterfly ,ribbon bow, kaisercraft pearls and green Tara flower all added texture. Til tomorow….

Great Grand Daughter cards

img_3546-mediumBefore I went on Holidays I had an order for 6 Great grand daughter cards, so I thought I would show you all 3 of them…the main embellishment on all of them are images from a 3d sheet which I fussy cut and layered up, and used corresponding colours to complete. All the papers used were just scraps from my stash, and I had to print out the great grand daughter on my printer as I have no stamps or stickers for great grand daughter! It’s a lovely day here, I have been sitting in the garden, but now I am off to the craft room to do some tidying up..til tomorrow….

kaisercraft Porcelain rose number 3

IMG_5836 (Medium)This card uses a couple of pieces of the 12 x 12 paper from the Kaisercraft porcelain rose collection, and a couple of pieces from the packet of collectables that match. I stamped the sentiment ( stampin Up) on one of the collectables, and put the banner piece behind it to break up the black and white. The leaves in the corner are punched with martha Stewart leaf punch, and I punched a circle, cut it into a spiral and rolled a flower.Today has been a day of straightening up the craft room, still some work to do in there – I have bought some new storage bits and pieces, so it’s a good time to have a thorough clean out and donate some supplies to the ladies at the reirement village – my mojo seems to have left me for today – hope it’s back tomorrow! Til tomorrow….

My take on clean and simple!

All of you that visit my blog regularly or attend my cardmaking classes will know that I struggle with Clean and Simple.i say if you have the product lets use it!..but, now and again an idea comes that will only work if it’s clean and simple. such as this card. The colours are so rich and vibrant, and go so well together that not much else is needed. the list of Goodies used – Stampin Up cardstock – gumball green and Midnight muse, ( as well as a scrap of midnight muse ribbon), embossing folders – couture creations Pinstripe, stampin up designer frames folders. stampin up greetings stamp from perfect punches, oval punch, and a scrap of designer paper from stampin up comfort cafe. This afternoon I am packing away the christmas craft items, and sorting out my sadly neglected stack of cardstock and filing it all where it is supposed to live. This should restore some order to my craft room, and I will be back to creating tomorrow. Til tomorrow….
