Todays kaisercraft Golden Grove card is a very very simple one. When i do Thinking of you or Sympathy cards i like to keep them quite clean and simple and for this one I used a kaisercraft frame embossing folder, fussy cut a flower from the specialty sheet of Golden Grove, and the sentiment was from the sticker sheet of the same range. I did ink around the edge of it with Tea Dye distress ink so that it didn’t blend right in to the background layer, and popped it on with foam pads for a bit of height. I am working tonight as I have a class to teach, so this morning I have been grocery shopping, but now I am going to conserve my energy and sit and sort my flowers into colour coded bags..bliss….Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft golden Grove 4 and 5

Two cards today because I have been missing for a few days, very busy at work putting out lots of new stock, and buying quite a bit of it! We are back to Kaisercraft golden Grove which was one of the ranges they released last month, and is full of lovely rich autumn colours. IThe top card is a card I made for my uncles Birthday, he is a gardener and I thought he would enjoy the imagery and colours reflected in his garden. It’s all 12 x 12 sheets from the range as well as the matching collectables. The lower card also uses pieces from a 12 x 12 sheet, with a flower and butterflies fussy cut from one of the sheets as well. If you look closely you can see some little rain drops ( or dew drops) which I made using some clear Nuvo. I have been experimenting with Nuvo, it comes in a huge range of colours and is very much like Liquid pearls, but better value, larger colour range and holds the perfect dome shape better…can you tell I am a fan? It comes in metallic ,glitter ( much better than stickles), pearl and clear . I have also been trying to clean up the craft room, but that is not going so well, too many distractions! Til tomorrow….
Go Press and Foil Card
I have another couple of Go Press and Foil cards to show, so this one today.. I used a kaisercraft embossing folder for the frame ( I have since mastered foiling with my embossing folders so that will be coming soon!) and foiled a todo sentiment stamp made especially for the foiling machine, trimmed it to fit into the frame, and added Green tara flowers, and a foiled chipboard butterfly. the greenery were die cuts on my desk, I have got into the habit when I am diecutting greenery and flourishes to cut a few extra so that I don’t have to stop and dig out dies when I am on a making streak. I have started on my Christmas cards at last, with some lovely new Kaisercraft christmas paper called Christmas Jewel. It has amazing shades of purple and lilac, and silver and I wasn’t going to purchase, but these cards are making themselves, easy paper to work with! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Lilac Whisper
Last month kaisercraft released a range called Lilac Whisper, the colours in this range are beautiful and subtle, so i had a very quick play with it when it came home, sadly I haven’t got back to it yet so only have a couple of cards to show so far. Todays one uses a sheet of the 6″ pad as the background layer, and I have used a sentiment from a terrific piece of the 12 x 12 from the same range which has so many sentiments on it. A lot of collectables grouped together, and a Kaisercraft ornate die cut from some more of the 6″ pad.I am home for the day now after working this morning, and it is so cold here, although I love the thought of doing some crafting I have a feeling the afternoon will be spent with a good book in front of the heater! This years first Christmas card….

Today is my Craft and Chat group get together, and the challenge set for todays get together was Christmas in July so I quickly whipped up a couple of cards in between class and cruise preparations to take with me . Here is the first one. The bird was a chipboard piece I found in the bottom of a drawer when I was looking for chipboard to try with my new Go Press and foil ( it foiled beautifully).I used a whole layer of glitter cardstock on the background, and die cut a Paper Rose die in gold foil for the sentiment. The Holly is a kaisercraft die, and the stitched oval is a Paper Rose die. Little kaisercraft rhinestones for the holly berries. I have come up with all the card ideas needed for the cruise, now all that is left is to prepare all the kits. That will take quite some time with a lot of die cutting , embossing, and layers to cut.For now though I am off to gather some supplies to take with me to my craft group get together. Til tomorrow….
Autumn colours
Last month at my craft and chat group the challenge was autumn colours, and this was one of my cards for that challenge. I used Kaisercraft Sage and Grace papers for the background, and a memory box die for the leaves, and Stampin Up Botanical Blooms dies for the flowers. The centres of the flowers are liquid pearls. I had a great day in the craft room yesterday and have designed half the lessons I need for the cruise classes. My son flies back to Sydney later today, it’s been lovely spending the week with him, and we had a great night last night joining a Ghost Tour of our old Adelaide Gaol with my 2 sisters, and nephew as well. I found the history and stories interesting, but no ghostly visits, although my 2 sisters would beg to differ with a very cold breath being blown in their faces and my sisters coat button dropping off and causing great consternation in the group! A fun way to pass a couple of hours and learn more about our city at the same time.Today I will spend just a little time in the craft room while inspiration is high and continue the cruise cards as the drafts have be submiited in a week or so. til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft High Tea continued..
Continuing on with Kaisercraft high Tea,this one is very simple with one of my resin frames, backed with a tag cut to shape behind it, on a piece of paper from the 6″ pad, and a sticker from the sticker sheet across the bottom. The sentiment is from the 6″ pad,and there is a scrap of lace and a bow to finish. I had fun decorating the inside of the frame with a punched butterfly and some pearls. Yesterday I purchased my Go press and Foil by couture creations, and although I have removed it from its box I haven’t yet had time to play with it properly, so now I am excitedly waiting for the weekend so that I can foil everything in sight! Kaisercraft high Tea 6…
Kaisercraft high Tea collection, ( a piece of the 12 x 12 paper as a background, A strip from the 12 x 12 sticker sheet down the middle, and a push out circle from the 6″ pad behind the resin frame). I Die cut and ornate circle ( Paper Rose) and a circle from patterned paper, and added a gorgeous soft pink ribbon bow. I am working tonight,so I have spent this morning sorting through my embossing folders, removing them from their packaging for easier storage…the aim is to make a little room in the craft room because on Wednesday I buy my Go Press Foiling machine and I need some room for it. I cannot wait to get it..everything within sight including all that chipboard I have and don’ Til tomorrow….t know what to do with is going to be foiled!
Kaisercraft High Tea number 1 ….
Today I am starting a new card series, using Kaisercraft High Tea collection. I love this paper collection, and have made a lot of cards with it, so we may have a bit of a break half way through..This first card has a layer of paper from the 6″ pad on top of a pink card base. I have some resin frames bought very cheaply, and I can’t get them any more, but they are perfect for cards as they are very lightweight. You will see them featured on future cards. I used a sentiment from the same pad, and stuck it behind the frame,it fitted perfectly! I die cut a circle from some more patterned paper from the pad, and the two die cuts I used before decorating with assorted flowers were memory box lorelia leaf and Paper Rose ornate circle. The weekend is here and I am so looking forward to relaxing in the craft room after all my house work is done! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 Portrait of a lady 3…
Todays card is a fold I have been practising, and I will be teaching it next month, so I thought i had better get to grips with it myself! IÂ Â like it a lot and so you will see it pop up now and again, and once everything has quietened down here i will get Nathan to help me do a youtube clip to show you all how to make it. The paper collection here is Graphic 45 Portrait of a Lady, and I just added some flowers and greenery, a ribbon bow to decorate. Posts will be a little sporadic over the next week, until my craft fair is over, but I will post when I can, Til then ….
