I made this card to prove to myself that I could do a one layer card! Although I have to admit I am still fighting the urge to add some ribbon and bling… I stamped a variety of butterfly stamps – (I have a lot so it could have been any brand) and stamped them in different coloured inks – these were – Stampin Up Certainly Celery, bashful blue,so saffron, and Pink Piroutte, and then fussy cut around the outside edge. The sentiment stamp ( from stampin Up) was stamped in black to stand out.Interesting exercise, but I won’t be packing away my bling any time soon! Til tomorrow…..

Cuttlebug card – Mothers day

The spellbinders dies used are Timeless rectangle, and I added some prima flowers, satin ribbon and lilac liquid pearls. The sentiment which i stamped in chocolate brown is from a stampin up set – wonderful mother.Next time I do this one – and there will be a next time – I am going to emboss the background mat.I have had a hugely productive day in the craft room today – making boys birthday cards. I picked up 5 sheets of Bo Bunny Surprise paper, and have so far made 10 cards with it – the ideas just keep flowing – got to love days like today! Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 a place in time number 9
here is the last of my A place in time series using Graphic 45 papers.Sonething new tomorrow. I matted the small images using bazil and kaisercard cardstock, and added a seam binding ribbbon binding bow. I have turned this one into a mothers day card, but on reflection it would make a lovely girls card – not sure what I was thinking there! The card base is Stampin Up baja breeze cardstock, which my sister tells me is being discontinued so I have stocked up on it as it is one of my favourite colours for card bases.Seems to match a lot of the papers I have in my craft room, and I am sorry to see it go.Looking forward to spending a couple of hours in the craft room tonight after a truly hectic week1 Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 a place in time 8
I have been on a bit of a hunt through my photo files looking for the card ( well two actually) that I made for a 40th retro birthday order that I had, and it appears that I haven’t got photos of them although Nathan and I are both sure that we took them. I still have one of the cards so the next time the camera is out we will take a photo so that I can post it! So to todays card – This is Graphic 45 paper – the images are from a Place In Time, and the background is from an older graphic 45 collection – the good thing about Graphic 45 paper is that most of the collections do have pieces that will match with other collections. The bigger image is matted on Kaisercard, and I found some trim in my ribbon drawer that matches perfectly with the blue and orange tones.Taught a class last night, and this morning – lovely ladies, and had a great time. This afternoon was a little nap time to catch up on lost sleep, and now I am ready for the weekend! Til tomorrow….
Mothers day Kaisercraft Flora delight 4
This is a pretty one! The paper is from the 6″ pad, which along with the collectables are from Kaisercraft Flora Delight.I punched a butterfly, and added some bling and ribbon. I found some letter stickers to spell out Mum. Posts will be a little erratic over the next couple of days – I pick up my new car tomorrow afternoon and I am teaching a class on Thursday night, so that’s a bit busy getting home from work and organising tea before I go – we will see what time I have – Til tomorrow – hopefully,….

Kaisercraft Flora Delight papers and collectables for this quick easy card – I just needed some letter stickers, glitz and ribbon to finish! Flora Delight number 2
Today we are back to my Kaisercraft Flora delight series, – love the orange and green for a change of pace…. here I have fussy cut some of the paper to stick on top of some of the green paisley patterned piece, and added a kaisercraft flower and some punched leaves and a butterfly with bling and ribbon to finish. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up – Wonderful Mother – a perfect set for mothers day cards. I have been concentrating a lot lately on my patterned papers, as I am trying to reduce my collection a little, but this weekend I have been making some cuttlebug cards, and some others that rely on Colour and shape( as we speak on my desk is a yummy collection of black, pink and green which I can’t wait to get back to) but my photographer Nathan is very busy this weekend sorting through hundreds of photos that he took at our boys wrestling companys’ huge show last night, so it may be a little time before I can get him to photo my new cards! it’s back to the room for me – til tomorrow…..
Pickled Pear and labels die
For this card, I covered the front of a 6″ card with Kaisercraft Pickled Pear paper, and then Die cut a window in it using one of the Stampin Up Labels die. I covered the inside of the card with more paper from the same ( gorgeous) collection, and decorated the inside and out with flowers, fussy cut butterflies, and a leafy branch that I stamped on to Acetate and cut out, using one of the stamps from Kaisercraft Pickled pear stamp set. Tomorrow we will go back to Kaisercraft flora delight paper, for now I am off into the craft room – I haven’t been well this week, but much better today, and feel in the mood for some crafty therapy! Til tomorrow….

Lavender haze and Labels Dies
I had started a new series yesterday, but I have abandoned it for the moment as one of my Ladies requested some ideas for useing her Stampin Up labels dies. i have come up with a few quick cards which i will show over the next couple of days. Here is the first, an easel card, Kaisercraft lavender haze 6 ” pad and collectables, but any paper will do – this ideas works for most, and stampin Up labels dies, cut twice in ever smaller sizes! a bit of glitz and rhinestones and finished! Over my tummy bug now but still a bit weak, so no craft room for me! Til tomorrow….
