Deep Red Train stamp, this time I heat embossed it with copper powder, and fussy cut around the image. For the card I used stampin up cardstock, and layered Prima Craftsman patterned paper, and used some wide mesh trim, before mounting the train on top with 3d foam pads. The sentiment is stampin up Itty Bitty banner stamps. Today has been a great day – relaxing in the craft room, and now ready to face the working week tomorrow.. til tomorrow….

graphic 45 A proper gentleman
While on the subject of mens cards, which I think we were, here are a couple of quick makes, made while I had my graphic 45 papers out. the images are from graphic 45 A proper Gentleman, and although you can’t see it in the photo, I cut the same images twice, and 3’d them on top with foam pads. the embossing folder I used on the background layer is Cuttlebug clockworks, and I wrapped the whole layer with some string for a but more texture.Til tomorrow…
Kaisercraft Paradiso collection number 3
Kaisercraft paradiso 12 x 12 paper, collectables, and I added another image from the same paper collection across the top of this one.I also stamped a sea shell ( from stampin Up seashore stamp set) and fussy cut it out and stuck it on the bottom of the card with sticky foam pads. A lazy day today, after the grocery shopping – a little creating, and just recharging the batteries ready for work tomorrow. Til tomorrow…
A stamped Mens card idea number 1
mens cards are always a challenge as there doesn’t seem to be so many paper collections released for this genre, so when I have to make mens cards I often reach for my stamps, and I am always on the lookout for more to increase my stamp collection. The stamps I have used here are from Stampin Up – The Open Sea and Gorgeous Grunge as well as a sentiment stamp. I used a plain white card as the base, and stamped straight on to it using stampin up inks – Cherry cobbler, night of navy and daffodil delight ( this is where I used one of the gorgeous grunge stamps-little spots under the anchor – it reminded me of grains of sand). In the top right hand corner I glued a charm, some string and hessian , just for a bit of texture, and stamped the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner to finish. I have some new stamps to play with tonight, so may spend an hour or two in the craft room experimenting! Til tomorrow….
Sears and Son 3 and 4
More cards on cards today – Sears and Son paper and collectables by Kaisercraft, and for these two cards I embossed some background cardstock using Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder – Patchwork, which I lightly inked once it came out of the folder. I have spent a productive day in the craft room today playing with some new Prima paper, although I did make a little diversion when I realised that next weekend, besides being Easter is also mum and dads wedding anniversary and mine is shortly after so made a couple of quick anniversary cards. have also realised that we have at least 4 birthdays ( two of them 21sts,) in the next few weeks so will have to get organised for them as well! Kaisercraft tropicana number 5
This is the last for now, of my Kaisercraft Tropicana series. There are 2 images here, so don’t forget to scroll down a bit to see them both! I used the 12″ paper and collectables for this card, and punched three circles down the front of the card. Inside the card I positioned three images from the pack of collectables, so that they show through when the card is closed. This is a card that was easy to make, but has a lot of added interset to it – you could completely change it around – use feminine paper and add die cut butterflies to the inside circles – this design has lots of possiblities, and I will be experimenting with it more when I finally find some time to myself in the craft room! On to something else next post…. Til tomorrow….
Stampin Up countryside number 6
Here is the last in my Stampin Up countryside stamp set series – I have loved working with this stamp set, and it will be afavourite choice when I have to make those mens cards. I have used the truck image here and stamped it in Cherry cobbler ink onto very vanilla cardstock ( everything used here today is stampin up except for the button). Other cardstock used is cherry cobbler and soft sude. I embossed the soft suede with my square lattice embossing folder. The sentiment is a stamp from the curly cute set, and I added a button and bit of linen thread to finish.I have spent most of today restoring some order to my craft room, I have been so busy the past month that everything was just everywhere, but now I can find things again it’s time for some serious crafting! Til tomorrow….
Simple stories awesome 5
O.K. – I have lost track of the number in this series so I am calling it number 5…. The paper is Simple Stories Awesome, and here I have combined it with my Lacey Pennant spellbinders for the banner across the top, and I used a matching border sticker across the bottom. I stuck on a couple of Tim Holtz idea -ology sprocket gears, and distressed and inked all the edges.I taught a class over at paper flourish today – always enjoy my time with my ladies – and while there saw the new graphic 45 papers – a ladies diary collection – and couldn’t resist buying lots of it so tonight I am hoping tto spend a little time in the craft room creating with it – Til tomorrow….
