Todays card is a wedding card which is a little different for me because I relied less on the papers( I just used a little Kaisercraft Romantique..the label for the sentiment and the gold embossed strip across the centre of the card) and I made my own background paper. I used Nuvo Gold glitter paste and brushed it through a kaisercraft stencil. This is so easy to do, and dries really quickly..so quickly that I suggest you wash your stencil straight away! I added some delicate ribbon and some gorgeous flowers from Iamroses. I brushed them with a little of the gold glitter paste. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp which I gold embossed. I have finally finished preparing my lessons for April, and today I hope to sit in the craft room and make some birthday cards I need for family and friends upcoming birthdays. It is finally cooler here ..not sure for how long but i am going to enjoy it while I can! Til tomorrow….

My Minds Eye In Bloom.
A natural progression from yesterdays card where I had used My Minds Eye In Bloom patterned paper as the background layer is today’s card which uses all My Minds Eye In Bloom paper. I die cut a gold foil heart, and added black lace and gold ribbon. Everything else is from the paper collection. Yesterday was very productive day in the craft room. I planned out my march classes, and started to experiment with some irridescent medium and stencils to make my own background layers that have a bit of a sheen. This is a work in progress but will share when i have something to show you! Valentines day card
The collectables pack from the Prima Rossibelle collection had some wonderful bits and pieces in it, and the silver plaque and tag were the base for this card. The flowers were also Prima and I added some gold thread and a flat backed pearl. The papers were some random pieces that were in my stash and I used a bit of the silver textured one to die cut a heart. Today is a day off, so i have been busy in the kitchen experimenting with a chicken casserole – no recipe so hope it turns out alright – smells ok as its simmerimg, so hopefully I have succeeded! Now I am off to the craft room to make a start on 6 orders, and looking forward to relaxing! til tomorrow…
My Minds eye fancy That 5 and 6 wedding…
Here are the last two cards i made with My Minds eye Fancy that ( for now anyway!)My favourite is the bottom one, the paper is foiled, and I fussy cut some bunting and a gold heart, and added some of that beautiful gold twine and sequins . I have managed to spend a bit more time in the craft room, before I have to stop and elevate my leg, so I am feeling much happier! til tomorrow….
My Minds eye fancy that 4 wedding..
Today we are back to My Minds Eye Fancy That collection, this wedding card also using the matching journalling cards. I fussy cut the heart and arrow out of cards I didn’t want to use.The rest is just layering, and I used a corner punch from stampin up to cut the fancy corners.Today is a very muggy humid day here in Adelaide, and I have made plans to meet a friend for lunch – my first outing since my knee op, I am looking forward to getting out and about!Til tomorrow…
My minds eye fancy that number 3…wedding..
This one is a favourite because I got to use so much lace ! I wrapped it around the dress image I had fussy cut from a piece of the patterned paper ( my minds eye fancy that),and also fussy cut the mans suit as well. I am back in the craft room, just for short visits, but it’s amazing how much better I feel when i have been in there! til tomorrow…..
My minds eye ..Fancy That ..2..
My second wedding card made with my Minds eye fancy that. Lots of lace, and gold thread here, and the heart is fussy cut from one of the journalling cards. I always look at the journalling cards first, and if there are any that won’t make a suitable card topper they get fussy cut up into pieces I will use. Nothing is wasted with the journalling cards!Til tomorrow…..
My Minds Eye Fancy That…1..
A complete change from christmas cards… wedding cards! The paper collection is My Minds Eye Fancy that, and I have half a dozen celebration type cards to show over the next few days. This paper is foiled, so didn’t need much embellishing – the journalling cards that go with the collection are great for toppers, and all I added to this one was some gold string/twine..this card is for our friends wedding this weekend( I may miss it due to the whole knee thing, but the rest of my family will go).I have gathered my supplies for my January classes and all ready to head into the craft room, I am ok as long as I stop each hour and elevate the leg for equivelant time so it’s getting much better! Today is a terribly hot windy dusty day here, and I am glad I am inside! til tomorrow…..
Three more Wedding cards
Here are the final three of my wedding card series – the top two cards are made with kaisercraft on this Day paper collection, and the bottom card is a mix of papers I found in my drawer, and prima flowers and some punched leaves. I think the flowers on the top two are also Prima, and of course ribbon and lace used liberally on all cards! Today I have been putting together some Prima doll stamp cards, and mulling over ideas for my July classes. can’t believe I am already thinking about july – where is this year going? Til tomorrow…..
wedding cards.
I will apologise for the quality of the photos first thing – we had terrible trouble with the light – and have discovered that morning is a much better time than afternoon for taking photos in my dining room! The first card I have posted twice as neither photo is really clear, but hopefully with the two of them you get the gist! I heat embossed in silver the stampin up marry me stamp, and did some embossing with a cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. I added prime flowers, leaves, martha stewart leaf punched leaves, and a ribbon bow to finish. the second card is a crossover front card again embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder, gold heat embossed sentiment, and assorted flowers, leaves and pearls to finish. I will show a couple more wedding cards next time – I had to make a few for a commission. I taught a great class this morning, always good to see my ladies, and now I will have to start thinking about what to cook for tea…Til tomorrow…..
