Card in a box cards

IMG_4067 (Medium)IMG_4070 (Medium)So, I started to go through my papers to have a bit of a cull, and straight away got distracted. This is a kaisercraft paper, a couple of years old ( and I can’t remember the name), and when I bought it I hadn’t learnt how to make these card in a box cards. when I saw the paper again this is the first thing I did with it.I have been through to the card room to try and find the rest of the paper so that I can tell you the name, but I have lost it again, I don’t think I finished it with these cards so I am sure it will turn up again , maybe in another couple of years! Meantime, if anyone knows the name of this collection can they let me know cos it’s going to drive me crazy!Today I have been making baby cards – I had to pull out all the baby card papers to make a special card for a friend, so while it was out I made a few more. Now I have moved onto engagement/wedding cards using kaisercrafts new collection xo ( funny name!!)Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft flourish die with Tropical Punch collection

IMG_1779 (Medium)IMG_1780 (Medium)These two cards were made with Kaisercraft tropical Punch collection( including the sticker sheet)and a flourish die, also by Kaisercraft. It is a big flourish, so I used it as the focus on the top card, but on the lower card I cut it up into pieces.Of all the brands of dies I have used, these dies from kaisercraft are the best when it comes to removing your paper or cardstock from the die – usually they just fall out!Wouldn’t the flourish make a great tail for a bird? May have to experiment with that idea! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft off the wall number 2

IMG_1768 (Medium)For the second card in my Kaisercraft off the wall series I have used the 6″paper pad, and the frame is from the pack of matching collectables. I have fussy cut various bits from the papers to make a game screen.Today I have come to the realisation that I may have too much paper in my craft room, and it has become a bit of a fire hazard. I am trying to come to terms with the fact that it may be time to cull. I am thinking of making bundles to sell on my craft stall in June.At the moment just thinking aloud, but I think this is the best way to go. We shall see..I hope all of you have had a lovely Christmas break with family and friends. i am back to work tomorrow, so must go abd get myself organised. Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft sandy toes number 1

IMG_1753 (Medium)As today is so hot here I thought it would be a good idea to put up a card that makes me feel cool while I look at it! The paper collection is a new release from Kaisercraft – Sandy toes, and is full of lovely patterns and cool colours.I inked around all my edges with shades of blue and green distress ink, and added a bit more colour to the panel with the ship on it too.Wound a little linen thread around my main panel, and added a charm to finish.I am off now to finish wrapping some presents, and then I think I am all organised for Christmas! til tomorrow…..
