Julie nutting prima Doll Stamp and Kiasercraft velvet crush.

IMG_4537 (Medium)I keep coming back to Kaisercraft Velvet Crush paper and collectables, but here I have teamed it up with my Julie Nutting Prima Doll stamp. I stamped the image on some websters pages paper that had the right colour for skin tone, and stamped it again on some velvet crush, and paper pieced it all together. That way all I had to colour was the hair. I am still learning the colouring technique, and here I used prismacolour pencils. These stamps are large so I made a bigger card – 21cm x 21 cm and then folded in half – that is  called a DL size, and the envelopes are readily available ( they are the same size as those rotten bills come in!)i have another one to show tomorrow.Til tomorrow….

These two cards were made with Kaisercraft blast off 6″ paper pad and matching collectables. i fussy cut a little monster from some of the paper to peer out of the porthole in the rocket on the top card. Simple cards as there are no other embellishments on them . The cardstock is stampin Up. day off today, but so busy.. lots to do and not enough time to do it in! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Tea party number 9 And 10

IMG_2092 (Medium)IMG_2093 (Medium)This week a quick re visit of a few favourite paper collections. This one is Kaisercraft Tea Party. I used the 6″paper pad on both cards as well as the matching collectables, and stampin up cardstock and sentiment stamp. that was it for the top card, and for the bottom card I added a doily, ribbon bow and flower.I taught a class this morning, and sitting on my desk at the moment is some simple stories paper, waiting for me to get back to it! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Velvet crush number 11

IMG_2074 (Medium)I found another Kaisercraft velvet Crush card that I hadn’t posted! The card ( on the left) makes use of the matching collectables in the range, and some kaisercraft and prima flowers and ribbon. ( the cardstock is stampin up pink pirouette and black) and when I had finished it I realised it wouldn’t fit into an envelope as the flowers were too bulky, so I made a box and decorated it to match. I like making these card boxes, so you may be seeing some more of them… may have to do a youtube video of how to make….I had a great morning over at Paper Flourish this morning, met up with some friends, had an enjoyable card club, and bought some new papers from Prima, Tim Holtz, and heartfelt creations and can’t wait to start making with them. Til tomorrow….

Prima doll stamp with velvet crush (10)

IMG_2077 (Medium)I promised myself I wasn’t going to get hooked on the prima doll stamps by Julie Nutting, but.. oh well whats a girl to do? Although I do colour, I much prefer to use these stamps with gorgeous patterned papers, so the only thing I coloured was the hair. the rest has been stamped onto patterned paper and paper pieced together. the paper I used on this one was Kaisercraft Velvet Crush, and for the skin tones i used an old sheet of websters Pages that I had filed away.most paper collections that are released have one sheet that would be suitable for skin tones, so this plan should work for me all the time!the butterflies are from the sticker sheet that was released with velvet crush, and I added a ribbon bow to finish. I taught a very busy class this morning and was grateful to a very dear friend for her help with a lady new to cardmaking, without her help I would have had a class that severely ran over time!I bought a big bag of goodies after class, and can’t wait to sit down tonight after tea and have a good look at what I picked up. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Telegraph Road number 2

IMG_2091 (Medium)Todays Kaisecraft Telegraph Road card uses a corner of  a 12 x12 sheet and the matching collectables. I was going for a collage effect, so layered a few of the collectables on top of easch other. I did some punching with martha stewart punches for the leave and flowers ( leaf and hyacinth punches) and added some gold liquid pearls and kindyglitz to finish. the cardstaock and sentiment stamp are from stampin up. Til tomorrow…..

IMG_1070 (Medium)Here is the last for now of my Kaisercraft Velvet Crush series. I have really enjoyed working with this paper, the colours are great and so striking with black and white accents. Just a few kaisercraft rhinestones finished this one off.well, it was back to work today so no crafting for me tonight – just a quiet night in front of the tv is on the agenda! til tomorrow….
