Today I am revisiting and old favourite – kaisercraft Curiosity collection.I have just used the papers and collectables, a bit of ribbon and a brass key on the lower card. A bit of my favourite – fussy cutting too! I have a lot of this paper so after making some cards with this I popped it back into the shelves, to revisit again another time. I might get it out for some mothers day cards! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft sears and son 13 and 14..the last..

Here are the last two Kaisercraft sears and sons cards for now, I am sure they will make a re-appearance around fathers day! The top card is all papers and collectables from the kaisercraft sears and son collection, and the bottom card ( my favourite) also makes use of a sizzix hat and moustache die and some googly eyes. the sentiment stamp is stampin up bitty banners. Today I am off to a garden party at a heritage home in posh Adelaide! I have wanted to see inside the grounds of this lovely old house for years now, and today they have opened it to the public. It’s going to be quite hot today but there is a lot of shade to take advantage of, and I will fill my water bottle and dig out my hat!i am off now to find my camera…til tomorow….
kaisercraft sears and son 12 and 13

The good thing about revisiting this collection is that since purchasing it I have some more mens stuff that fit really well with the theme, so today I have combined the Kaisercraft sears and son collection with my Stampin Up guy greetings stamp set. the car on the top card is stamped with one of the stamps as are all the greetings.the bottom card relies on matching collectables, and greetings from the stamp set. Buttons, twine and die cut number ( kaisercraft die) to finish.Housework for today is completed so I am looking forward to sitting uninterrupted in the craft room for a few hours – I have an order to fulfill ,then back to Mothers day cards and a bit of relaxing! til tomorrow….
Final kaisercraft Bonjour..card in a box..
For the final couple of cards made with kaisercraft Bonjour (another paper collection done and dusted!) I made Cards in boxes. The butterfly papers in this collection were perfect for this style of card, and I attached them with acetate so they look like they really are fluttering around. A new range of papers tomorrow, til then….
More kaisercraft bonjour…

Another 3 cards made with kaisercraft Bonjour paper collection. The top 2 cards are just reliant on the papers and fussy cutting, while the bottom card has some die cutting and bling added to it.It’s been a very busy weekend with no card making for me!But i have finished all outstanding classes, and finished all the paperwork, so I might be able to spend a couple of hours in the craft room to make a start on the Mothers day cards. til tomorrow….
Farewell kaisercraft Bonjour…

For the next couple of days you will see a last few cards from kaisercraft Bonjour paper collection ( sorry the bottom card is a little blurry – Nathan must have sneezed!).I made a final 1/2 dozen or so before consigning the leftover papers and collectables to the craft fair pile. The top card has some fussy cutting, punched leaves, flowers and a die cut – Couture Creations Albert and Simonnetta, although I dispensed with Albert and just used Simonetta! Love how her name is French – fitted with the theme perfectly! I die cut her first on plain cardstock ( flesh toned) and then again on patterned paper and cut out the bits I wanted. The bottom card is all papers, layers and fussy cutting. I must go and pack my bag – I am off to the retirement village to teach a lesson this afternoon – looking forward to seeing my ladies! Til tomorrow…..
Goodbye to Kaisercraft blae and Ivy..

Today we say goodbye to Kaisercraft Blae and Ivy collection. I took it out for a last play, and the leftover papers in this collection have gone into the pile to sort and sell at Junes craft fair. I love the blue card at the top of the post – I used my Stampin Up bird punch, kaisercraft numbers die set, lace and ribbon for this one and the card below has prima flowers, ribbon, lace and bling.Thats another paper collection played with for the last time and culled! Just at least 100 to go!Now is the time for me to start on my Mothers day cards, so i should be able to get through a few collections in the next few weeks. For now though I am off to Paper Flourish to collect some supplies for March lessons. Til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Little one, card in a box
These two cards are the reason I had this paper ( kaisercraft Little one) out on my desk the other day. I fussy cut the elephants and owls out of some of the 12 x 12 papers in the collection, and made my boxes ( video coming I promise – they are so simple you will be amazed!) and fixed the fussy cutting onto strips of acetate.they wobble about nicely!I have since had to make more owls cards because the three I initially made have gone – I sent one to my Auntie in Perth and it handled the post perfectly and was only the cost of a normal stamp! Much cooler day here and after the week of humidity we have had it is so welcome. Looking forward to a weekend of playing with my new stampin up supplies! til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Little One 5,6, and 7..

Kaisercraft Little One paper collection and collectables.I had this paper out for a different reason, which I will show you all next time, but while it was out I did a couple of quick cards with it to top up my boxes.Very minimal embellishing on these ones, just my go -to ribbon, and a few buttons. I found a few heart shaped buttons in my stash and thought they were perfect for these cards. a welcome day off today, and the grocery shopping is done so i will spend a couple of hours in the craft room. I haven’t been in there much lately, it’s been too hot, and still is, but my fingers are itching to sit down and create, so I will get in the zone and ignore the weather! thank you all for your comments, I feel we are building a lovely card making community and I so enjoy hearing from all of you! til tomorrow…..
embedded embossing with kaisercraft secret garden
The last of kaisercraft secret garden paper collection ( for now) and matching collectables, as well as a die cut butterfly ( memory box die) doily, ribbon and bling. the reason I kept this one til last was to show you the embedded embossing technique. I had a lot of little bits and strips of paper so I stuck them all on some white cardstock – i inked around all the edges and left a little bit of white space between each strip, then i ran the whole thing through an embossing folder and my big -shot. The embossing folder I used was a kaisercraft one – postcards I think it was called, but you can use any folder as long as it has quite a close design over it, its fun to experiment with this technique and a brilliant way to use up those little strips of patterned paper we just can’t bring ourselves to throw out! We have had a power outage for most of the day today, so nothing much done but a bit of reading. Thank goodness it’s back on now so the air conditioner is working double time to cool the house down! Til tomorrow…
