For todays card I used the new collection from Graphic 45 called Portrait of a Lady. I have only made a few cards so far with this series, but I haven’t put it away, it is waiting for me by my desk because I will get back to it once all my class cards are done, and next weeks fair is over for another year! This one has lots of layers of patterned paper, and some fussy cut roses ( from another of the 12 x 12 sheets), and little bottles also fussy cut. Along the bottom I stuck some frilled lace that I found in my stash, some kaisercraft beading and a ribbon bow. I used some kindyglitz on the roses for a bit of shimmer. Today I have brought home some gorgeous Bo Bunny papers for an upcoming class, but of course I had to buy some for myself, so I have plenty to keep me busy in the craft room! til tomorrow….

The Last Cherry Tree Lane card ( 15)
I can’t promise this card ( made with kaisercraft Cherry Tree Lane 6″paper pad) won’t be the last, but it is for quite a while! The image in the centre is from the 12 x 12 cut apart sheet from the same collection, and I trimmed the sides with lace, and cut a banner shape to frame it. A light pink ribbon bow to finish. Yesterday i bought some new Kaisercraft High Tea papers, so beautiful, and I can’t wait to start making with it but first this week I have to make some wedding cards to fill my box, The June long weekend craft fair is not far away, and I have to start preparing for it! Til tomorrow….
Cherry tree lane number 2..
Todays Kaisercraft cherry tree lane card uses the 6″ pad. The flowers are fussy cut from one of the papers in the pad,and a piece is used as the background layer. The piece the sentiment is on is from the 12 x 12 sheet of pull aparts that accompany this range, and that sheet is great with lots of different images to pull apart and use.I added some lace, ribbon and a couple of pearls to finish. I taught my class this morning, and we used this range of papers. It was lovely catching up with my ladies, now next on my agenda is packing for the cruise I am teaching on. We leave two weeks today, so not long now! Til tomorrow….
Card and matching box..
While my shoulder was not good ( great day today as my Doctor has cleared me and I am back to normal!)to pass the time I made some flower bunches, and used them on cards only to realise after that they wouldn’t fit into envelopes so I made matching boxes for them. This one has a lovely wide piece of lace on it, the background paper is from kaisercraft PS I love you,and the die is Paper Roses Ornate circle. Just a quick one today, til tomorrow….
Vintage gingham garden
The paper I used on this card is from Stampin up – Gingham garden. Although the colours are quite modern I couldn’t resist giving this one a bit of a vintage twist – by adding ribbon, lace, a flower and a doily which I coloured with my squeezed lemonade distress ink pad. I am quite liking the yelolow/ pink colour combination at the moment1The sentiment is also from stampin up. Til tomorrow…..
kaisercraft true romance 9 and 10 – stepped up..
This is an interesting one tonight – Kaisercraft True Romance paper collection, and matching collectables on both cards, but the card on the left is a simpler card, and for the card on the right I stepped it up by adding lace and a doily, and making a tag.I inked around all pieces with a pink ink pad.Thats it for this collection for now, tomorrow we will have a look at something new! Til tomorrow….
kaisercraft true romance 7 and 8…
two very similar cards tonight – I couldn’t choose between them so decided to put them both up! the paper is Kaisercraft True Romance and I used the matching collectables. i inked around all my edges with pink ink, and added a little kindyglitz and ribbon bows. the flower on top is one we ( my sister and I) made and coloured when playing with the new moulding clay from stampin Up.There is also some lace on the top card!Must go – tea is very nearly ready, til tomorrow….
Very Blingy card!
This is a card I made for our cardmakers club challenge. We had to have a go at making ribbon roses, which I failed miserably! In the end I just covered a die cut circle with glue, piled on the ribbon and crossed my fingers, but oh well we all have our weaknesses and making ribbon flowers is mine! I do like the rest of the card though, and for it I used – Stampin Up Pink Pirouette cardstock, spellbinders D-Lite die – ornamental tags two, a cheery lyn die, and Melissa francis paper – C’est La Vie. I added lace, a bling swirl, large pearl and prima flowers to finish. I have had a good afternoon in the craft room today, and I am heading back there now to put my head down and come up with some Ideas for my August classes. Til tomorrow…..
Celebrate Today with Bo Bunny Prairie Chic….
I have interrupted my latest series to post this card that I made this morning ( in between shopping and visiting Mum and dad) . It’s a special card because I am Celebrating – In the next few hours one of you will be my 100,000th visitor to my blog! This is amazing to me – My blog is a daily journal of my crafting travels, and sometimes my life travels too. That so many of you visit is great, and that so many of you come back is even better! My love and relaxation is card making, although I have taken a few short trips down the box making path, the off the page path , scrapbooking path, and the mixed media canvas art path ( a longer path that one as I love creating canvasses!) I always stay true to card making. looking back over my blog I have evolved and changed, and tried some new techniques – some worked, some didn’t, but I have always had fun and shown my successes and failures! Recent highlight was being chosen as a beautiful Blog in Papercraft Inspirations magazine, and ongoing highlights are my card classes that I teach, many of my ladies I class as true friends, and they travel the card making path with me, sharing ideas, and tips.So to all of you who visit, those that keep coming back and the 100 or so followers that have joined along the way – Thank You so much for letting me reach this milestone! Todays card was quickly made with Bo Bunny Prairie chic papers, a stampin up sentiment stamp, and some ribbon lace, and bling. I think it reflects my style ( for now!) perfectly! ( Can’t wait to make more with this gorgeous paper….Til tomorrow…..
Art Deco Style number 3
This the third in my Do Crafts Papermania Art Deco series, and tomorrow we move onto something a little different… For this one, I have stayed with the black/purple colour scheme, using black and wisteria wonder cardstock from stampin up. I used a Martha stewart border punch, and then just some black lace and a bit of bling to finish. I have been busy making cards for orders today, but I am itching to get started on the new box of goodies I got on the weekend from Stampin Up – hopefully this evening I will make a start on that! Til tomorrow….
