I did quite a bit of fussy cutting on this card – The flowers were fussy cut from a piece 0f the 12 x 12 papers ( all paper is from Kaisercraft curiosity collection) and the have a lovely gloss finish on them.I also fussy cut the butterflies and the border. I layered up a couple of labels from the collectables pack, and added some lace and ribbon to finish.Taught a lovely class of ladies today, always nice to finish the working week having fun! til tomorrow….

Porcelain rose number 15
I can’t beleive we are up to number 15 in this series! This paper – kaisercraft Porcelain Rose truly inspired me! I think it was because there were a few different colourways in it, and I am particularly fond of this one – black ,white and red. The papers used here are from the 6″ pad, and i added a rose from the collectables, and a die cut heart which I ran through the cuttlebug in an embossing folder. I used some black lace and liquid pearls to finish. Today has been all about christmas with some new papers I bought yesterday, and tomorrow will be a big photo day to get them all onto the computer. Til tomorrow….
Vintage gingham garden
The paper I used on this card is from Stampin up – Gingham garden. Although the colours are quite modern I couldn’t resist giving this one a bit of a vintage twist – by adding ribbon, lace, a flower and a doily which I coloured with my squeezed lemonade distress ink pad. I am quite liking the yelolow/ pink colour combination at the moment1The sentiment is also from stampin up. Til tomorrow…..
White on White Wedding card – cuttlebug
There is nothing quite so classical ( and Classy) as white on white. If I am making a wedding card and I don’t know the colour theme for the wedding I always do white on white. The key here is to use texture to make the layers stand out. So – that’s embossing folders ( swiss dots and Vintage wallpaper from stampin Up on this one) foam pads for height, and lace, ribbon, pearls and assorted flowers for mor texture and interest. The little strip of gold embossed paper is from Kaisercraft After 5 6″pad. Tomorrow I am setting up my craft fair stall, so post may be a little late, and I will try to stick to daily blogs over the weekend to let you all know how I am going, getting quite excited now! Til tomorrow….
Engagement card – After 5
Todays card is an Engagement card made with Kaisercraft After 5 papers from the 6′ paper pad, spellbinders Floral ovals die, and just a bit of ribbon, lace, and some flowers ( Prima) and pearls. I have been in the craft room a little while today, just finishing up some projects – all my lessons for July are done and I am back to trying to use up some older paper collections to make room for more new stuff! Til tomorrow….
Wedding card – On This day..
I don’t often use patterned papers for wedding cards – I usually like quite plain cards with a little cuttlebugging for these type of cards, but this paper is from Kiasercraft and called On This day so I thought it was wholly appropriate for a wedding card! I also used the matching collectables, and the stamp set that is released to match this collection. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder, and added a little lace and opal liquid pearls. I am now all organised for my craft fair this weekend, and getting quite excited – can’t wait to meet so many fellow crafters in one place..Til tomorrow…
prima Divine number 6
This is the second to last card in my Prima Divine series, and here I have used all the bits of strips that were left on my desk when I made all these cards.I inked around all edges with ranger Tea dye ink, and distressed most edges. I added a little lace and some kaisercraft rhinestones to this one. A lovely class with my ladies this morning, and now three days off to spend some time working on my June lessons! Til tomorrow….
Bundle of Joy number 3
I like this one because it uses one of my favourite things – lace! I cot into a 12 x12 sheet from Kaisercraft bundle of Joy paper and added a few of the matching collectables, inking around the edges with a pink ink pad. Just added the aforementioned lace, ribbon and pink perfect pearls to finish. Not much crafting happening in the evenings this week, but a short day at work tomorrow, then teach my favourite lesson – Mature ladies and then a three day break good times ahead! til tomorrow….
Art deco Style…
I have posted this card at the request from two of my ladies, who are having a card making day soon to make some art deco style cards. Here I have used some images from the Do crafts Papermania Art deco Collection layered onto black cardstock, and added a touch of lace. I think the secret to Art deco is to keep to geometric shapes – no soft curves or frilly bits here! Even the lace I have used is angular.I also think black is a good base for this style of card, and if you don’t have black cardstock for bases, use black for your layers. square, diamonds and triangles are all good for Art Deco style cards.Thank goodnes for the weekend, and cooler weather – i am so looking forward to some quality time in the craft room.. Til tomorrow….
Graphic 45 secret garden number 3
Graphic 45 secret garden patterned paper, and the image on this panel of paper doesn’t need anything else but a strip of lace! The cardstock is stampin up baja breeze. very quick and easy! the weather is still conspiring against me, as well as hot it is now humid and there is so much moisture in the air my cardstock is warping so again no visits to the craft room, although I did manage to make a few this morning before it really heated up- ready for a change of weather now…. til tomorrow…
