Prima Tea Thyme card

Now for a change from Christmas cards I made this one using Prima Tea Thyme patterned paper and my cuttlebug.the die I used were – spellbinders labels 17, lace doily accents, and Memory box La Rue Flourish. The sentiment ( Love it) is from a stampin Up set called Apothecary Art, and the pleated satin ribbon is also stampin Up. I just added lace and perfect pearls to this one to finish it.Tonight I want to spend a bit of time in the craft room, doing some special orders, but first I have to find my work table which is under such a pile of stuff! Til tomorow…

Kaisercraft turtle Dove 9 and 10

Still with our kaisercraft turtle Dove 6″ pad, and matching collectables. The only extra on these 2 cards are some Craftworks candi, bakers twine, tulle, lace and a button. Just a note if you are going to make the one on the right – don’t do as I did – make sure your paper is the right way up! Just noticed that I stuck the paper on upside down !Til tomorrow….

All is Bright 1 and 2

We are back to christmas cards, these ones are a little different – lets call them shabby chic with a contemporary twist! The paper is My Minds Eye All is Bright and I have also used the matching brads, buttons and stickers.I have made a lot of cards with these papers, the ideas kept coming, and it made a nice change from green and red! I used Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant dies on these cards too, just the right amount of modern design in these dies. Also used – lace, seam binding, a doily, and bakers twine.Thats it for today – til tomorrow….

Vintage style

A short break from all things christmas to have a look at some new papers I purchased a couple of weeks ago – they are Anna Griffin from the Camilla collection, and I only bought a few sheets, not the whole range, but I did also purchase the matching die cut embellishments. These papers were gorgeous to work with – I love the soft colours, and for this card I turned on the vintage flavour by adding lots of ribbon, lace and bling. I used my spellbinders Dress form die and painted the die cut with Viva Metallic silver paint, and had great fun dressing it! In the craft room today I am making more christmas cards, I have decided to do one day xmas and one day non xmas – that keeps the ideas fresh! Til tomorrow…

A Ladies Diary Number 11

A Ladies diary paper by Graphic 45…. also used the matching chipboard and stickers on this card, and added a little lace and some authentique vintage buttons picked up from an op shop! I have been making great inroads into my christmas cards over the past couple of days – I still have to make close to 60 more, but there is light at the end of the christmas card tunnel. Nathan and I spent this morning taking photos of my latest cards, so we will start on them tomorrow. I have enjoyed playing with a few new christmas papers, so can’t wait to show you all! Til tomorrow…

Christmas cards 2012 Vintage

These cards use Stampin Up daydream Medallion stamp set, and I think I used every stamp in the set on these two christmas cards!Inks used were stampin Up cherry cobbler, wild wasabi and certainly celery, and I stamped and fussy cut some of the medallions out and layered them on top of each other. The paper is Stampin Up Be Of Good Cheer, and the greeting is a stamp from the Welcome Christmas stampin up set. embellishments used were – bling strips, craftworks candi ( gold), Rouge perfect pearls, lace and ribbon. Looking forward to spending a couple of hours in the craft room unwinding tonight – Til tomorrow….

Daydream Medallions

When I went to Canberra with Kay one of the stamp sets we received was Daydream Medallions. When I saw it, I didn’t think it would be one that I would use. A very good friend used it and I was hooked! This is my first card using it, but I have since made many more and  alot of them are christmas themed, so they will be up here at some stage. For this one though, I used early espresso cardstock, as the base and Very Vanilla. The base card is stamped with a little flower stamp from the Bliss set, as is the butterfly, sadly not available any more.I stamped the daydream dedallions in early espresso and soft suede ink, and fussy cut around both, and layered them on top of each other. I then stamped another stamp of the set in the centre.Another stamp set we received was Memorable Moments, and it is great – a couple of sentiment stamps, but more importantly numbers! I am now making lots of age themed cards. I don’t have to rely on stickers any more! I stuck some kaisercraft pearls around the medallion and that part was finished. I then ran some Very Vanilla cardstock through my cuttlebug using the Stampin Up vintage wallpaper folder, which I had inked over with early esprsso ink – on reflection next time I would use the lighter ink. A bit of lace trim and done! I went up to  Paper Flourish today and stocked up on all the new kaisercraft christmas paper, and tonight I will be preparing some lessons for October using some of it – lovely vintage style paper it is too, just my thing!I also bought some new spellbinder dies, so can’t wait to have a play with them as well. Til tomorrow….

Shades of…pink

I like the colour combination on this card.I used a white cardstock base, and matted 3 different shades of pink bazzil onto some Stampin Up Crumbcake ( thats kraft ) cardstock, then stamped a floral image 3 times across the bazzil in white ink. I added some lace, twine, stampin up crumbcake seam binding and a button I found in my button tin to finish this one. Just something different for me, but I really like it, and will try this one again in different colours. Thats it for today, til tomorrow….

The Last prima songbird ( number 10 and 11)

Well this is it. The last two cards from my Prima Songbird patterned paper series. 11 cards from 4 sheets of paper was pretty good, and I only have little scraps left.I used stampin up sentiment stamps on these two, and trimmed with lace, seam binding, prima flowers, liquid pearls and bling strips. Tomorrow I might check if there are any more Fathers day cards in my files to be shown, for those of you that have left your cards til the last minute!Til tomorrow….

Prima songbird number 9

Here we are Prima songbird papers number 9, I am ready to move on, but we are so close to finished with this series, that we will carry on. Here I have matted the main image onto Stampin up early espresso cardstock, the banner was fussy cut from one of the papers, and I finished it all off with some gorgeous lace and a bit of bling.I am still battling this fluey thing, but did venture into the craft room today as sitting up is better than lying down – too much coughing when I am lying down – and I have made a start on a rather large order that came through yesterday.Til tomorrow….
