Engagement card

Hello and welcome to my new follower! This is a card i was working on over the weekend, and is for a friend at work. I used assorted bazil, lace, flowers, Magnolia drops, liquid pearls, spellbinders circles and labels seventeen. There is a delicate swirly thing on the side which was cut on my cuttlebug with a memory box die called Fauntleroy crest ,( my favourite die at the moment) ans the leaves were punched out with my Stampin Up bird punch. The champagne glasses are a stamp that comes from the stampin Up Cheers to you stamp set. While I had it out I stamped out quite a few images with it – it has a variety of different shaped glasses, and today I spent a lovely while in the craft room making a few cards with them.I will go back into the craft room for a little while after tea as I still have a few Wedding cards to make. Til tomorrow….

A little bit of everything…

I have thrown a little bit of everything at this card, so my list is quite long – here goes – Bazzil cardstock for the base, Prima Sparkling spring as the paper collection used, a chipboard dress form covered in matching paper, press studs and old pattern instructions from my late grans box ( that sewing box is coming in quite handy!) my sewing machine, assorted lace, buttons and flowers, a label die and ribbon, and all the edges were inked with worn lipstisk distressed ink. phew…great excitement in the craft room tonight as I received my big box of goodies from Kay (stampin Up) today. What to play with first? My mind is spinning with ideas -it could be quite a long session in there tonight, but first I have to cook tea for the hungry hordes, so Til tomorrow…..

A different stamping techinique…

Todays card uses the lovely soft pastel papers from Melissa francis, and a couple of Martha stewart punches, flowers and lace. but the reason I put it up today was to show a stamping technique I used on it. I love the poem on this card, but it looked a bit plain when it was put together, so I stamped a tree ( from lovely as a tree – Stampin up) in versamark, and brushed some perfect pearls over the top. It gives a holographic effect – at some angles you can see the tree, and at other angles you can read the poem. This will possibly be mums Mothers day card, just because I love the the poem and I’m sure she will too. I am awaiting arrival of my second most amazing shelving unit so will be busy tonight filling it with papers! Til tomorrow….

Lil Primrose 4

This is the final card in my Lil Primrose series ( for now – I will make more with this paper at a later time…) and I used the 6″ paper pad and matching collectables from the same kaisercraft range. I added a little ribbon and some lovely lace at the edge of this one. Where has today gone? I spent over three hours sorting out my market boxes for this Sunday, and the time just disappeared! I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon in the craft room, it is still hot here in Adelaide, but I can only stay away from that room for so long! Nathan and I spent some time this morning taking photos of cards so will have some different ones to show over the next couple of weeks… Til tomorrow…

Graphic 45 tropical travelogue 6

This is the last for now in my graphic 45 tropical travelogue series. For this one I used a Martha Stewart punch , lace ,ribbon ,Kaisercraft sparklet and bling, kindyglitz and stampin Up cardstock – Calypso Coral. Tomorrow we will have something completely different . This week a lot of new dies for my cuttle bug have arrived, so I am hoping over the next few days to have a play with them, and I still have some orders to do so that’s me organiseed! Our weather is climbing up there again and that’s not such a good thing for crafting – it gets too hot to do anything so we will see…. Til tomorrow..

Sidewalk 5 and 6

Here we are for our second post today. This is the last in my October Afternoon sidewalk series, which I wanted to finish today as I am eager to move on to the next…. These two cards also used the button, twine and seam binding that came in the matching Miscellany pack, and I used a spellbinder labels 14 to stamp my Stampin Up Perfectly Penned greeting stamp on to in choc chip ink. There is a little lace peaking through the layers, and I punched a lacy edge with my Martha stewart punch. So Hot here in Adelaide today – 40C ( thats 104F for my overseas visitors) Very hard to craft in this heat – My quick dry glue was drying before I could get anything stuck to it, my double sided tape went quite tacky, and parts of my body were uncomfortably stuck to my seat! It looks as though it is cooling down now, although that could be wishful thinking! Welcome to my new subscribers,I hope you all enjoy my card making journey as much as I do…. Til tomorrow….

Lots of shoes and bags….

I know a lot of you are finding it hard to find me at the moment, there is a problem with my blog which Nathan is on to, but it could take up to 5 days to fix. A few of you have worked out how to get to me, thank you, and to everyone else you will have to catch up when the problem is fixed! Meanwhile we will carry on as normal…. Today I have posted a group of cards that I made just using 2  12 x 12 pieces of patterned paper, some stampin up cardstock – Perfect plum and basic black, and a bit of ribbon and lace. The paper was a find while I was on holiday from a company called Hobby Fun Co, and I embossed a lot of the plum cardstock with my Vintage wallpaper embossing folder from Stampin Up.I actually made 14 cards from this paper – that’s what I call a bargain buy! Til tomorrow…..

Sweet Nothings…..

Now I know we haven’t even celebrated Christmas yet, and here I am posting a Mothers Day card, but I need to make 100 Mothers day cards this year, and thought I would do a couple a week to keep ahead. This new paper from kaisercraft – Sweet nothings is perfect for Mothers day, and lately every card I do seems to have a lovely vintage feel to it. For this card I just used the 6″ pad and lace and flowers. I did ink every edge with Antique Linen Ink, and the leaves were punches from my trusty Stampin up bird punch. I love this collection of papers, and it may be one that I go back for seconds for! I have managed to get over a dozen male cards done today, so I am looking forward to getting out the bling and glitz after tea and creating a bit more with this paper! Til tomorrow…..

Mamadme Boutique 4

This card is continuing on with my kaisercraft madame Boutique series using the 6″ pad and matching collectables. here I have also added a prima flower and leaf, and a little lace. Although I still have a few more to show in this series, We might take a little break tomorrow as nathan has finally got his camera back and we will be doing a big photo shoot tomorrow, and I will have something different to show… looking forward to a couple of hours in the craft room tonight making some mens cards, I’ve neglected them over the last few weeks, what with xmas and all the pretty feminine papers that are around. I got a new nautical themed stamp set and papers from Stampin Up today, and can’t wait to ink those new stamps! Til tomorrow…..

Madame Boutique 1

I think I have shown a couple of cards made with this paper before, but it was a little while ago, so we will start this series again at number one! It is kaisercraft Madame Boutique paper and matching collectables, and I just added a little lace and ribbon ( of course!) I haven’t been in the craft room all week, and I am looking forward to sitting in there tonight. I still have brand new papers – not even cut into yet – to play with, but it is a very busy time of year at work  and so exhausting… Til tomorrow….
