This is a very early post for me today, but I wanted to put up this special card, as it was made for my cousin who is getting married today – Best wishes Karen and Danny – It was going in the post so I had to really restrict my inner blingness, and the Bridesmaids dresses are red so I wanted to incorporate that too. I used pearlescent card, and the stamped image and sentiment are from Stampin Up Marry Me set. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder, stampin Up bird punch for the leaves, and Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches for the flowers. Liquid pearls – hope they are o.k. in the post – and assorted lace finished it off. Now I am off to te craft room to do an order that has just come through and needed for tonight… Til tomorrow….

Howdy doody 3
On todays card have made the greeting the focus of the card. I used Stampin Up pool party and blushing bride cardstock, and My Minds Eye Howdy Doody patterned paper. The punches were Martha stewart doily lace, butterflys, and fern leaves. I added some lace and liquid pearls, and rubbed a couple of the butterflies over a versamark ink pad and brushed them with gold perfect pearls ( powder) which gave them a lovely gold colour, and I will be trying this again with my other colours in the perfect pearls range. The Stamp set I used was Stampin Up elementry Elegance, and I gold embossed the frame, and stamped the greeting inside it. Over the past couple of days I have been making male cards, so today I gladly got out the lace, ribbon and bling and had a great time creating some really feminine cards, and I will be back in the craft room tonight as I have a couple of unfinished cards on my table…. Til tomorrow….
Howdy doody 2
As I mentioned yesterday, this is my favourite paper – My minds Eye Howdy Doody – at the moment, and I didn’t want to cut into this piece, so I’ve let the paper speak for itself ! I die cut the heart with my x – cut hearts die, and went right around the edge with lace, gathering as I went. The greeting is a stampin up stamp from my blessed Mother set, stamped onto stampin Up pool party cardstock and punched out with a stampin up decorative punch. i just added a little kindyglitz to highlight some flowers, and a few drops of white liquid pearls. Spent this morning with Mum at the shops, stocking up on lots of lovely lace, and then trying on ( and buying!) some new clothes – she is a very bad influence – I am sure she thought she was on a commission from the dress shop! a lovely day…. til tomorrow….
Field flowers 3
Here is todays card, still continuing with my new Stampin Up Field flowers stamp set. I did get the idea for this card from a magazine – I thought I have all the papers they used – I can do that, then as I started it totally changed… which is why I very rarely copy ideas! The papers used are Authentique Uncommon, and I stamped my image directly onto the patterned paper with basic black ink. The cardstock is Stampin Up sahara sand and very Vanilla, and I added lace and white liquid pearls – the best invention… Another very hot day here – 37C again ( thats over 100 F for my overseas visitors) and impossible to craft in this heat. The air conditioner has been making horrible noises and we prayed it would make it through the night, which it did, only just, and this morning saw my husband up on the roof changing a fan belt – crisis averted, it’s going like a little beauty now thankfully. I am off to the Market tomorrow, will be hot, but I am looking forward to seeing my regular customers there. Til tomorrow….
Vintage Vogue
This is a card that I taught over at the Retirement Village a little while ago. I used cream cardstock and ran my Very Vintage jumbo wheel ( which I rediscovered not long ago, and now I am rollering everything) with certainly Celery ink(stampin Up) along the outside edge. The flowers are stamped in rich razzleberry ink ( stampin up) onto white cardstock and cut out and layered and shaped, The stamp comes from a stampin Up set called Vintage Vogue. I also used spellbinders Picot edges, liquid pearls and a Stamp it stamp for the greeting. Simple! A nice day spent with Mum and sister creating and talking…. Til tomorrow….
stamped Lil Primrose
I do like stamping – I just don’t do it very often because the papers take over! I particularly like stamps that I can use in a way that combines stamping with my love of fussy cutting so when I saw this little girl stamp from Kaisercrafts new range Lil Primrose I thought this is the stamp for me! I stamped her 3 times on to different scrap pieces of Kaisercraft Lil primrose 6″ paper pad, and cut out elements from each one to make up the whole – no colouring! All theother papers on the card are from the same range, I fussy cut the flowers down the bottom and added a little liquid pearls to the centres, and added a ribbon bow. The cardstock is Stampin Up Blushing Bride. I have spent some time in the craft room today and am heading back in there now…. Til tomorrow….
Bunting and paper hats….
I cut triangles out of the websters pages Lets celebrate collection, to make the bunting, and fussy cut the paper hats out of another piece of patterned paper to make this festive birthday card. I also used a little liquid pearls. Well finally I got into my craft room today, and did a few xmas cards, and finished organising my next village lesson. I also had an order for a renewal of vows card, so I did that as well, my mojo is back! Til tomorrow…..
Last Victoria Gardens card… I Promise!
This is the final card in my echo park Victoria gardens series. I have enjoyed working with this collection, and I still have plenty of paper left, so I will still be using it, but after posting 9 cards of the same collection, I’m pretty sure you are all ready to move on! I also used a prima flower, platinum liquid pearls, a Martha stewart punch and my Cricut with the Heritage cartridge to cut the cameo. Tonight I am still working on a couple of xmas designs for next months village class, and then a night in front of the T.V. I think.. til tomorrow…..
Just add lace!
I’ve grown quite addicted to lace – I can’t walk past it in the shop, and whenever I add it to a card it just seems to finish the card off perfectly. this card is no exception. I used stampin up cardstock – Bravo Burgandy, and Prima botanical papers. I cut the blossom with my cricut using the serenade catrridge, and squeezed some liquid pearls ( another new buy, and terrific stuff!) to the centres, some kaisercraft rhinestones, and then just added lace! Til tomorrow….
