Every now and again an idea is too big for a card,and so it was with this one, so i moved it onto canvas.I painted the canvas with acrylic paint, added some stamping in black stazon,and then started decorating! The flourish is a cheery lyn die – tropical flourish, bird and cage is sizzix tim holt caged bird, and the flowers up the top are die cut with sizzix stampin up Blossom party die, and down the bottom stamped using stampin up vintage vogue stamps and then fussy cut and assembled.I attached a small canvas onto the bigger canvas, and the bling at the bottom of the cage is Magnolia chandelier garland.The small ammount of paper I used is Prima Meadow lark.I am still amongst xmas cards, but see light at the end of the tunnel, and hope tomorrow to move on! Anna Griffin camilla 3 and 4
Two together for this post! Still with Anna Griffin Camilla collection, and matching die – cuts.The lattice is a die by Cheery Lyn designs, ( number 2) and I added ribbon,magnolia chandelier garland drops,hat pins, perfect pearls and kindy glitz to finish. I got sidetracked today and made a canvas art for my craft room door – will show it when Nathan photos it! Til tomorrow…
Elegant Bird number 2
This is the other card I made with my new Stampin Up Elegant Bird die. I cut this one out of an old cornflakes box, as I wanted a strong base for the crackle paint which I painted over the whole of the bird and wing and left over night to dry. It doesn’t show too well in the photo, but as the paint dries you get a lovely crackled effect.The background paper is from Stampin Up Twitterpated range, and I ran some pink Bazzil through the cuttlebug with my Craft Conceptes cottage floral embossing folder. I just had to add some lace, ribbon, Magnolia chandelier garland, and a strip of kaisercraft pearls.Had a lovely morning with my ladies,then this afternoon a short time in the craft room where I have been working with Kaisercrafts new release, but I am afraid my mind rebelled, and I found myself packing away the muted tones and digging out my brightest ribbons and buttons and papers to come up with some very bright and sunny cards, which we will photo next week when I am on Holiday ( Yay…) Til tomorrow….
A New Bo Bunny Enchanted..
I have certainly got my moneys worth out of this Bo Bunny Enchanted 6″ pad! This latest card also uses Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered Floral dies, Nellies nesting dies ( Heart) by X – Cut, Prima Leaves, Magnolia Chanderlier Garland and the gretting is Stampin Up Perfectly Penned and Silver embossed.A Non Crafty day today, but I am heading into the craft room now to make some Baby girl cards with a cute new teddy Bear I picked up.On my travels today I did pop into Paper Flourish to see the new Prima papers – Really yummy and of course didn’t resist the temptation to buy so will be playing with them tomorrow.
