Kaisercraft sandy toes number 1

IMG_1753 (Medium)As today is so hot here I thought it would be a good idea to put up a card that makes me feel cool while I look at it! The paper collection is a new release from Kaisercraft – Sandy toes, and is full of lovely patterns and cool colours.I inked around all my edges with shades of blue and green distress ink, and added a bit more colour to the panel with the ship on it too.Wound a little linen thread around my main panel, and added a charm to finish.I am off now to finish wrapping some presents, and then I think I am all organised for Christmas! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft garage days number 6

IMG_8542 (Medium)A quick and easy one today – Kaisercraft garage days and stampin up totally tools stamp set. I didnt want to cut the image down to fit my card front so I left it just a little bit higher than the card front. I thought I would loose too much of the effect if I cut it down and it turned out ok!nothing else on this one except the fussy cut badge in the bottom right hand corner. Got to love doing mens cards card with a minimum of fuss!I have taken a break from planning out my village lesson – just one more card to do, and already my mind is wandering, thinking about which paper collection I am going to play with next – I have a lot that I haven’t cut into yet because I have been so busy with xmas cards, but I am going to take a break from them and create something different – my boys ( and husband) are putting on a wrestling show tonight so I have hours of uninterrupted card making ahead of me .. bliss…. til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft garage days 4 and 5

IMG_8541 (Medium)IMG_8543 (Medium)I went deep into the blog archives to see what cards I had previously posted using this paper ( kaisercraft garage days) only to find that I had only posted a couple before now. This is terrible – it means somewhere in that craft room there is a lot of paper for men that has not been utilised. This is an oversight that will have to be remedied – maybe this weekend!I have a class to prepare, and more christmas cards to make, but I am sure I can fit in some mens makes somehow!Todays cards are a little dark – I think the shiny properties of the top card played havoc witgh nathans camera, but hopefully you get the idea. The stamps for the tools are from Stampin up – old ones I think called Totally tool. These are great for mens cards and you may still be able to get them on e-bay .Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Garage Days

IMG_8540 (Medium)I had to do some mens cards this month,so the first paper I reached for was Kaisercraft Garage Days, although I don’t have a great deal of choice –  mens themed  paper seems to be the hardest to find.here I have combined it with some tool stamps which I got a few years ago from Stampin Up so I am not sure if they are still available.I have also used a few of the matching collectables, and stampin up cardstock. Must run – work is calling…til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 By the Sea, number 1

IMG_9391 (Medium)Sorry I was missing last night – we had no power… Nathan said it went off at 1pm, and it didn’t come back on until close to 8 o’clock in the evening, so we sat in the dark, and were quite cold until then! It was a very late dinner last night!Todays card is Graphic 45 By the sea patterned paper, and a fussy cut quite a few images . I mounted the lighthouse on some stampin up real red cardstock, and used a little of the trim from the same paper down the right hand side. This paper is out on my craft desk at the moment, as I was planning to make some more cards with it, but I have a few orders to complete, so will have to pack it up again! til tomorrow…..

Tim Holtz ideologogy paper stack 2

IMG_9388 (Medium)Tim Holtz ideology paper stack – this time a male themed card. I inked around all my edges with vintage photo distress ink, and added a metal charm tied with twine.Very simple card this one! i have finished my second lesson for august, and just have one more to do for the village ladies at the end of this month, then I will start thinking about september which will be christmas cards – I can’t believe we are back to xmas cards already! til tomorrow….

Deep Red train stamp

IMG_9385 (Medium)Deep Red Train stamp, this time I heat embossed it with copper powder, and  fussy cut around the image. For the card I used stampin up cardstock, and layered Prima Craftsman patterned paper, and used some wide mesh trim, before mounting the train on top with 3d foam pads. The sentiment is stampin up Itty Bitty banner stamps. Today has been a great day – relaxing in the craft room, and now ready to face the working week tomorrow.. til tomorrow….

Another couple of male cards

IMG_3697 (Medium)Another couple of male cards, made with another Deep Red stamp, some prima paper, cuttlebug clockworks embossing folder, stampin up cardstock and ribbon and twine and brads.Another busy day today, but the good news is tomorrow is a totally free day for cardmaking – can’t wait!til tomorrow….

graphic 45 A proper gentleman

IMG_0272 (Medium)While on the subject of mens cards, which I think we were, here are a couple of quick makes, made while I had my graphic 45 papers out. the images are from graphic 45 A proper Gentleman, and although you can’t see it in the photo, I cut the same images twice, and 3’d them on top with foam pads. the embossing folder I used on the background layer is Cuttlebug clockworks, and I wrapped the whole layer with some string for a but more texture.Til tomorrow…

Echo Park/Graphic 45 Transatlantique

IMG_0271 (Medium)This paper collection is unique because it is a collaboration between two paper houses – echo park and graphic 45.I have made quite a few cards from this paper, but this is the only one that made it to be photographed – the others all sold before the camera came out!I have layered a couple of pieces, wrapped one layer in twine, and added craftworks candii to the corners. The sentiment stamp is stampin up. I must see what i have left of this paper and make some more! til tomorrow…..
