A few technical difficulties, but I got here in the end! Todays card is a male card, with a bit of stamping, and embossing. The stamp set is from Stampin Up, Countryside, and the embossing folder is a sizzix tim holt – bricked wall. The sentiment is also from Stampin Up, and I added a button and some linen thread for a little added texture. The stamped images were stamped with stampin up soft suede ink. A short weekend for me this weekend, a couple of classes , a back to work a day early, but the bonus is a nice long weekend next weekend! Til tomorrow…..

Two cards tonight!

Due to all the posts i have missed because of the loss of our internet over the last few weeks, I have a back log of cards to show, so for the next week or so I will post a couple each night to try and catch up, so tonight we have two cards i made using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper and matching collectables. Both these cards have the same theme -of using the collectables to make a rosette, and I think it works quite well. I inked around all my edges with tea dye distress ink. I have made a few more christmas cards today, but I have to stop making for now and put in all the inserts – a bit boring, and a job that I seem to leave until I can’t ignore the pile any longer! Kaisercraft Sears and son male cards
We will keep going with the ideas for male cards, this time using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper collection. This was one they released last year, but I haven’t found anything since that comes close to making good cards for men. This one uses a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, scraps of other matching papers, and one of the collectables out of the matching pack. I went to town on the distressing, and then inked around everything with Tea dye ink. It’s been a great day in the craft room today, I did a couple of cards for orders, just a couple more to do, and I did a couple of cards for various challenges, as well as digging out my graphic 45 french country papers and playing with that – that is still out on my table, so I am heading back there now to continue while the ideas are flowing! Til tomomorrow….
Cheers to you owl
Male cards are always challenging, so I often fall back on this design – or something similar. I embossed the brown cardstock with a Sizzix woodgrain embossing folder, and die cut a circle from the middle of it. The owl is punched from various scraps of patterned paer with a Stampin Up owl punch, and the leafy branches around the owl are punched with a martha Stewart frond punch. The greeting and glass are stamped using Stampin Up Cheers to you stamps.Other week flown by, and very busy it has been too, Hopefully i find a few minutes to myself to do some serious cardmaking this weekend! Lucky Last Bo Bunny Surprise number 13
Here is the lucky last Bo Bunny Surprise card. Lots of Stampin Up cardstock on this one, and stampin Up embossing folder too. I fussy cut the images and star strip from the bo bunny collection, and added them all to the card. Just needed a bit of kindyglitz on the bow to finish. Today I have been putting together some card kits to sell on my Fair stall – we will see how they go – if there is enough interest this is something I might get into as I have enjoyed myself doing them. Tomorrow morning will be photo time, hopefully we have some natural sunlight available for that – its been lovely and wet here the last couple of days – we never complain about rain! Til tomorrow….
Male card – Parkers patterns
Here is a card I made for my brother-in laws birthday. Everything here is from stampin up – the cardstock is Not quite Navy, and the paper is from the Parkers patterns collection. the sentiment is from the itty Bitty banners stamp set, and the flags in the left hand corner are stamped and die cut using Hearts a flutter dies and stamps.Another set of papers I haven’t had enough time to play with – lucky I have some holidays scheduled in a couple of weeks and will hopefully get to it all then! Sears and son 6
I have more in this collection, but we will take a little break after todays post, and look at some other cards I have been making, and come back to these later. The paper and collectables are Sears and Son by Kaisercraft, and this is my favourite card out of all the cards I made with this 6 ” pad, and the matching collectables. I added some string, inked around all the edges, and found some googly eyes which just made the perfect gentleman!Another hot day here today, and a busy day at work so may just sit under the air conditioner and watch some t.v. before an early night tonight! Til tomorrow…
Sears and Son 3 and 4
More cards on cards today – Sears and Son paper and collectables by Kaisercraft, and for these two cards I embossed some background cardstock using Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder – Patchwork, which I lightly inked once it came out of the folder. I have spent a productive day in the craft room today playing with some new Prima paper, although I did make a little diversion when I realised that next weekend, besides being Easter is also mum and dads wedding anniversary and mine is shortly after so made a couple of quick anniversary cards. have also realised that we have at least 4 birthdays ( two of them 21sts,) in the next few weeks so will have to get organised for them as well! October Afternoon farm girl number 13
Here it is – the Final October afternoon farm Girl card – what a marathon! Thanks for sticking with it! I always try to make a male card with any of the collection I play with, so this is it for the October afternoon farm Girl collection. I love the woodgrain paper, so it was easy to use it as my first layer, onto a base of Stampin Up Crumbcake cardstock. I cut out a couple of the seed packets, and wrapped one with twine, and stamped a wheelbarrow with my Stampin Up Countryside stamp set.Tomorrow onto something different! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft tropicana number 5

This is the last for now, of my Kaisercraft Tropicana series. There are 2 images here, so don’t forget to scroll down a bit to see them both! I used the 12″ paper and collectables for this card, and punched three circles down the front of the card. Inside the card I positioned three images from the pack of collectables, so that they show through when the card is closed. This is a card that was easy to make, but has a lot of added interset to it – you could completely change it around – use feminine paper and add die cut butterflies to the inside circles – this design has lots of possiblities, and I will be experimenting with it more when I finally find some time to myself in the craft room! On to something else next post…. Til tomorrow….
