Here is the first card in my Kaisercraft Tropicana series, very appropriate considering the hot weather we are experiencing here just now! On this first card I have used the 6″ pad and matching collectables, as well as some Stampin Up early espresso cardstock and Kaisercraft Sparklets. I think this would make a good retirement card! stampin up Country side number 5
For my fifth card in my Stampin Up countryside Series I used 2 of the stamps in the set, and stamped them with early Espresso ink. The card base is choc chip cardstock, and I also used crumbcake, very vanilla and close to cocoa( retired colour) all from Stampin Up. I used my woodgrain embossing folder, again inking it up before I embossed, to get that lovely shaded effect. A little linen thread, and this one was done! I have been making some boxes for my cards this afternoon, so now it’s off into the craft room to make some cards to put in them ! Til tomorrow….

Countryside number 3
For card number 3 in my Stampin Up Countryside stamp set series, I have used (all Stampin up) early espresso, very vanilla and crumbcake cardstock, and stamped the water pump in early espresso ink. I swiped my crumbcake ink pad over the woodgrain embossing folder before running the crumbcake cardstock through it.A bit of layering, piercing, some linen thread and a button, and it was a quick and easy card! The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp called happy birthday.I spent some time in the craft room today planning out my February lessons, all male cards for February!,but it’s time to break out the ribbon and bling tonight! My take on clean and simple!
All of you that visit my blog regularly or attend my cardmaking classes will know that I struggle with Clean and Simple.i say if you have the product lets use it!..but, now and again an idea comes that will only work if it’s clean and simple. such as this card. The colours are so rich and vibrant, and go so well together that not much else is needed. the list of Goodies used – Stampin Up cardstock – gumball green and Midnight muse, ( as well as a scrap of midnight muse ribbon), embossing folders – couture creations Pinstripe, stampin up designer frames folders. stampin up greetings stamp from perfect punches, oval punch, and a scrap of designer paper from stampin up comfort cafe. This afternoon I am packing away the christmas craft items, and sorting out my sadly neglected stack of cardstock and filing it all where it is supposed to live. This should restore some order to my craft room, and I will be back to creating tomorrow. Til tomorrow….
Tim Holtz Car stamp
This is the last of my new stamps, it’s a tim holtz stampers anonymous vintage car, and as with the previous stamps, gives a gloriously clear stamped image.I can’t remember what ink I stamped it with – most annoying because I would like to repeat it,if I stumble across it I will update this post! The background papers are Simple Stories Awesome. I can see a definite light at the end of the christmas card tunnel – 2 more very special xmas cards in boxes, then all the Christmas bits and pieces are going away, and I am ready to play with all my new stuff.I have been so patient!Til tomorrow….
Stamped train Card
I recently bought some male themed cards, and because of the ammount of Christmas cards i have had to make I really haven’t had time to experiment with them, but I did stamp each image to see how they turned out, so over the next couple of days you will see the rough workings! Todays stamp is a huge image – it takes up the whole card! the stamp is Stampers anonymous tim Holtz collection train. It stamps beautifully – lovely and crisp. I lightly coloured this one just with watercolour pencil, and die cut some corners using spellbinders lace doily accents dies. the ticket stamp is by Prima, and I distressed the edges, and added some bakers twine and string for texture.I stamped the image with stazon timber brown.Today is the end of the working week for me, so I am looking forward to 2 days off, and hopefully some time to create! Til tomorrow….
