I made this card for an order..I die cut an oval and using the waste part I inked through it onto the base card with green and blue inks. I stamped a stampin up cricket set onto various scraps of cardstock and fussy cut the images, and stuck them onto the base card . I kept it all very simple as that is what my customer wanted, and I really like this one!Back to work this week after my holidays, and taking things very easy with my shoulder! til tomorrow….
I have a couple of Mens cards to show, so today we will start off with the side stepper card I made with some new dies from a new company, Paper rose. They are a South Australian company, and I couldn’t wait to try out the tool dies and the pegboard die. They cut beautifully, and I will be adding some more of their dies to my growing collection! The instruction for my side stepper card is on my You tube channel, you can find the link on the right hand side of my blog. The sentiment is a kaisercraft die, and the rest is just strips of cardstock to mimic the tool drawers. Til tomorrow….
Here are the other two cards I made with Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 6″ paper pad. I used a kaisercraft die on the top card, with a couple of the pop outs from the back of the pad, and for the bottom card I used a sizzix hats and moustaches die with a couple of wobbly eyes. Today is the start of Christmas cards!! I have spent the morning going through my boxes finding all my dies, embossing folders, and stamps with a christmas theme, but i have been distracted because I can’t find two new kaisercraft dies..I had them recently because I used them on the next group of cards I am showing you, but they have disappeared! I have decided to stop looking and they will show up when I least expect it..That’s the theory anyway! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe today, I only bought the 6″ pad and one 12 x 12 sheet for fussy cutting and had intended these cards for Fathers day cards, but decided I had enough of those, so these ones turned into birthday cards! The top card is lots of fussy cutting and the addition of a Tim Holtz spinner. The bottom card has a strip of hessian and a really old brad from the bottom of my bits drawer. Otherwise everything on this one is from the 6″ pad. A day off today, shopping done and I am off to the craft room . Til tomorrow….
Three cards today to finish off my Authentique devoted series which got interrupted due to more pressing christmas cards! I had a bit of fun with these cards and used plenty of lace, ribbon, hessian, bling and even a button. I did go to the specialist yesterday, and found out I have torn a ligament in the back of my knee, so operation on Thursday and after that I may be missing from here for a few days while I recuperate, but until then…til tomorrow…..
This paper collection is unique because it is a collaboration between two paper houses – echo park and graphic 45.I have made quite a few cards from this paper, but this is the only one that made it to be photographed – the others all sold before the camera came out!I have layered a couple of pieces, wrapped one layer in twine, and added craftworks candii to the corners. The sentiment stamp is stampin up. I must see what i have left of this paper and make some more! til tomorrow…..
keeping with the male themed stamped cards, tonights cards use a stamp I purchased from Kazzazz.I used stampin up cardstock – cherry cobbler, crumbcake and not quite navy, and the little bit of patterned paper is Prima Craftsman. The card on the right makes use of the negative cardstock left over after I had die cut the labels on the left card. ( dies are from stampin up – sizzix decorative labels.) I just had to add a little bakers twine and prima trim to finish these ones! til tomorrow….
mens cards are always a challenge as there doesn’t seem to be so many paper collections released for this genre, so when I have to make mens cards I often reach for my stamps, and I am always on the lookout for more to increase my stamp collection. The stamps I have used here are from Stampin Up – The Open Sea and Gorgeous Grunge as well as a sentiment stamp. I used a plain white card as the base, and stamped straight on to it using stampin up inks – Cherry cobbler, night of navy and daffodil delight ( this is where I used one of the gorgeous grunge stamps-little spots under the anchor – it reminded me of grains of sand). In the top right hand corner I glued a charm, some string and hessian , just for a bit of texture, and stamped the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner to finish. I have some new stamps to play with tonight, so may spend an hour or two in the craft room experimenting! Til tomorrow….
An early post – as promised – and we are back to Male cards, made using Simple stories Awesome 12 x 12 papers. For this one I made a tag and stamped it with Stampin Up motorbike stamp, and tied it with stampin Up bakers twine. I fussy cut the flags in the left hand corner from more awesome paper, and just added a couple of Craftworkscards candi. I am off now to set up my stall for the craft fair.. I think I am organised …. While I had Kaisercraft Hunt abd Gather paper out making the previous post card I quickly whizzed up this camping card. The cardstock is Stampin Up soft suede, and the sentiment is a stampin up one too.I taught a lesson this morning, and I have spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room doing some girly fairy cards ( I am having a little break from Mothers day cards). Back to work tomorrow, so a little less creating will be happening! Til tomorrow….
