Art Impressions stamp..a male card..

_MG_4641 (Medium)Due to a lack of male themed papers I have had to resort to stamps today! This is an Art Impressions stamp and I coloured it with Copics, and fussy cut around the image. I broke a golden rule and coloured first, then had to hunt around for papers to match, luckily I had some stampin up papers which did the job. The sentiment is die cut from a Kaisercraft die,and I popped the image on the card with 3d foam pads.Til tomorrow when we will finish this very short male themed series!

last 2 irresistably yours cards

IMG_2456 (Medium)IMG_2458 (Medium)These two cards were made with the same sheet of Stampin Up irresistably yours cardstock, but look so different. for the top card I sprayed the cardstock with dylusions sprays ( A tip – wait for one colour to dry before spraying the other colour – I learnt that one the hard way and ended up with a mud coloured mess!). then it was just a matter of some die cutting to finish. the bottom card is my first Christmas card for the year! I sponged this one with ink, and added a spellbinders die bauble and some sequins. I headed over to paper flourish today to get some papers for my next few classes, so will be busy this weekend coming up with some new cards and while I was thereĀ  also managed to get the new range of graphic 45 gilded lily – it is gorgeous and I can’t wait to make some cards with it – classes first, then some palying. Thats my weekend sorted!Til tomorrow

Kaisercraft scrapyard 1.

IMG_7719 (Medium)ThisĀ  month Kaisercraft released a collection called Scrapyard – perfect male themed papers. Here is the first card I made with this paper . I punched out the flags with a stampin up punch, and the rest was just the papers . I added two linen thread bows, and a couple of little copper circle stickers on the collectable greeting. Must be off – a full day of work ahead of me..til tomorrow…..

Stamped train Card

I recently bought some male themed cards, and because of the ammount of Christmas cards i have had to make I really haven’t had time to experiment with them, but I did stamp each image to see how they turned out, so over the next couple of days you will see the rough workings! Todays stamp is a huge image – it takes up the whole card! the stamp is Stampers anonymous tim Holtz collection train. It stamps beautifully – lovely and crisp. I lightly coloured this one just with watercolour pencil, and die cut some corners using spellbinders lace doily accents dies. the ticket stamp is by Prima, and I distressed the edges, and added some bakers twine and string for texture.I stamped the image with stazon timber brown.Today is the end of the working week for me, so I am looking forward to 2 days off, and hopefully some time to create! Til tomorrow….
