deep Red Plane stamp

IMG_3698 (Medium)Still stamping, and these two cards make use of my Deep Red Plane stamp. the card on the left – stampin up cardstock, and sentiment stamp, and some string and a canvas cog which I coloured with distress inks, and attached to the card with a vintage stampin up brad. the card on the right – I stamped and fussy cut the plane and used 3d foam pads to attach it to a piece of paper that I found in the cupboard ( I found lots of 6″ pads in there too, which I am in the process of looking at and fussy cutting where appropriate!)Again,I used stampin up cardstock and sentiment stamp to finish. Looking forward to tomorrow morning when I head over to Paper Flourish to choose the papers I will be using for my next 3 months lessons and doing some shopping as well…. til tomorrow….

Deep Red train stamp

IMG_9385 (Medium)Deep Red Train stamp, this time I heat embossed it with copper powder, and  fussy cut around the image. For the card I used stampin up cardstock, and layered Prima Craftsman patterned paper, and used some wide mesh trim, before mounting the train on top with 3d foam pads. The sentiment is stampin up Itty Bitty banner stamps. Today has been a great day – relaxing in the craft room, and now ready to face the working week tomorrow.. til tomorrow….

similar card – different colourway!

IMG_1079 (Medium)super quick post tonight – the same method as last nights card, but a different colour – this time stampin up always avocado in keeping with the gardening theme! The stamp set is still countryside by stampin up. Til tomorrow….

My Favourite stamped card!

IMG_1078 (Medium)I loved making this card! Everything I have used here is Stampin up products except for the button and script stamp. Cardstock is Night of Navy and Very vanilla, the stamp set is Countryside, and the inks I used were Baja Breeze and Night of navy. I wrapped the top layer with linen thread. Once I had stamped the script stamp on the vanilla cardstock I coloured it lightly with ink. There is a layer there that I ran through my card crimper to get that cardboard box look. I enjoyed making this card so much taht I made a another one in a different colourway with a different stamp and I will show that one tomorrow… til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft paradiso number 1

IMG_5847 (Medium)As the weather in some parts of Australia is so hot, I thought it only fitting to post  some beach cards. Luckily for us here in Adelaide the weather hasn’t been quite so hot, today has been lovely, but all the same I do feel sorry for those suffering the heat. The paper collection featured for the next few days is a release from last month by kaisercraft called Paradiso, and the main images on the cards all came from one of the 12 x 12 sheets. Thrifty crafting at its best because I made 6 cards out of this sheet! All I added here were a couple of buttons and some twine and a few of the matching collectables. The cardstock is some retired stampin up cardstock. This weekend I am working on some baby cards to replenish my market boxes. Til tomorrow….

A stamped Mens card idea number 1

IMG_3176 (Medium)mens cards are always a challenge as there doesn’t seem to be so many paper collections released for this genre, so when I have to make mens cards I often reach for my stamps, and I am always on the lookout for more to increase my stamp collection. The stamps I have used here are from Stampin Up – The Open Sea and Gorgeous Grunge as well as a sentiment stamp. I used  a plain white card as the base, and stamped straight on to it using stampin up inks – Cherry cobbler, night of navy and daffodil delight ( this is where I used one of the gorgeous grunge stamps-little spots under the anchor – it reminded me of grains of sand). In the top right hand corner I glued a charm, some string and hessian , just for a bit of texture, and stamped the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner to finish. I have some new stamps to play with tonight, so may spend an hour or two in the craft room experimenting! Til tomorrow….

motorbike card

IMG_5345 (Medium)Still on the male card theme, tonight I have used a stamp that I bought from Stampin Up along with some Stampin Up designer paper. The style is the same for both cards, I just mixed it up with the papers ans did a lot of matting! Stamps like these are very handy for those hard to do mens cards!Tonight I have moved my crafting to the dining room table – more room! and I have taken the heater with me so I am all set for a marathon crafting session. Til tomorrow….
