I made this card for an order..I die cut an oval and using the waste part I inked through it onto the base card with green and blue inks. I stamped a stampin up cricket set onto various scraps of cardstock and fussy cut the images, and stuck them onto the base card . I kept it all very simple as that is what my customer wanted, and I really like this one!Back to work this week after my holidays, and taking things very easy with my shoulder! til tomorrow….
I have a couple of Mens cards to show, so today we will start off with the side stepper card I made with some new dies from a new company, Paper rose. They are a South Australian company, and I couldn’t wait to try out the tool dies and the pegboard die. They cut beautifully, and I will be adding some more of their dies to my growing collection! The instruction for my side stepper card is on my You tube channel, you can find the link on the right hand side of my blog. The sentiment is a kaisercraft die, and the rest is just strips of cardstock to mimic the tool drawers. Another male card! I have used a Stampin Up stamp set – Cheers to you that was one of my first purchases from stampin Up to create this one, and teamed it up with My Minds Eye Be Amazing 6″ paper pad, a recent purchase. I coloured the stamped images with twinkling H2O’s.A quick and easy mens card. I had alovely day today over at the retirement village where we conducted our annual Mothers day cardmaking for the troops. The ladies did a great job, and when I left the count was up to 60 cards made and ready to send.I will be in the card room tonight doing a couple of orders,. Til tomorrow….
I bought a couple of sheets of Graphic 45 new range – Kraft Reflections because I thought they would make great mens cards, and this is my first design. I used some graphic 45 A proper Gentleman patterned paper, and some stampin up cardstock run through the cuttlebug witth a cuttlebug clockworks folder. The bakers twine is from stampin up.I have used lots of this bakers twine – it comes as a 25metre buy, and I am probably going to have to buy more! Back at work today – very sore feet – I will just be relaxing tonight! Til tomorrow…..
It has been a while since I posted a mens card, and wanted to show this stamp. When I was on holidays, I found a little scrapbook shop in Kingston and among my purchases was this stamp set. It has this golfer as well as a fisherman and a bloke with his tools. Great stuff! I particularly like paper piecing and this stamp was perfect for that technique. I stamped the image three times onto various scrap papers and then cut out elements instead of colouring. I used a retired Stampin Up cardstock, and Kaisercraft Up Up and Away paper pad. I punched three circles and ran them through the cuttlebug machine with the swiss dots folder and used the debossed side to resemble golf balls. Paper piecing is a great alternative to colouring your stamped images, and I am going to have a closer look at my stamps to do some more of this technique. Til tomorrow….
