There are two photos of the same card today to show more closely the effect I achieved by die cutting a rectangle from the front of my card to create a window to the inside, so the top image is the open card and the lower image is the same card when closed. A lot of the bits and pieces on this card came from the collectables from the kaisercraft limelight collection, but I added a gorgeous pre- made carnation, some punched leaves, rhinestones and a cute little ladybird. When I was looking for something else altogether in the craft room, I came across some paper I hadn’t created with, so I stopped what I was doing and came up with 3 very quick cards that would be suitable for the men in our lives or even ladies that love nature! The paper collection is Kaisercraft limelight and I have used the matching collectables, papers from the 6″ pad and there my even be some bits of 12 x 12 paper here too.the top card was perfect to use one of my little clock charms on. Who knows what else is hiding in that craft room? Tomorrow I am back to work, so this afternoon is all about finishing up some projects on my craft table, and thinking about some ideas for upcoming classes. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft botanica collection is another collection that I invested in, but have had very little time to play with. I have got a few to show you, based on lessons I did with this paper a couple of months ago, but again, can’t wait to get back to this collection and really get creative. this card… Lilac cardstock for the base card, and some layering with patterned paper and plain cardstock. A doily and ribbon bow to decorate. while I have a minute, I would like to thank all of you that leave comments for me – it is much appreciated! Blogging is a solitary pursuit, and it does mean a lot to me to know that there are a few of you out there reading my efforts! til tomorrow….
I have left the Simple stories I Am series for now ( we are only halfway through, but time for a change of pace) And todays card is made with the new Bo Bunny collection, which is nature inspired and right up my alley!I used Stampin Up cardstock , and did a little layering and fussy cutting. I hand rolled the flower, and die cut the leaf flourish with a kaisercraft die. Some inking around some of the layers for definition.day off today, so i had my flu shot – hopefully all protected for this year! Yesterday I had a cortisone injection in my hip, which was most painful – don’t believe anyone who says it isn’t!But on th upside I can feel the benefit already, so hopefully that’s me finished with medical appointments for a while. Off to the craft room for some relaxing time..til tomorrow….
Here is the last of my curiosity collection, for now anyway.. I used the 6″ pad for this one, and did a little fussy cuting from a sheet of the 12 x 12 paper, stamped a sentiment and added a satin bow to finish. today I have had a bit of a clean up in the craft room – couldn’t find my desk.. and have started to put together my november classes, so quite productive.. til tomorrow….
Still liking this paper a lot! I have combined the 6″ pad and a sheet or two of 12 x 12 paper to make this card – I didi a bit of fussy cutting out of the 12 x 12 papers, added some lace under the bottom layer and tied a big ribbon bow to finish. I have been in the craft room today making some cards with the new Prima paper I picked up the other day – Anna Marie , but after 6 cards I have packed it away because I also want to cut into the other range I purchase – Delight – its super vintage so I can dig out the ribbon and lace! Til tomorrow….
