The simplest card!

_MG_0105 (Medium)Here is the simplest card I have made in quite some time! White cardstock, a Stampin Up 3D embossing folder ( so gorgeous) a length of ribbon, lace , 3 little flowers and some pearl bling. This card would be perfect for a wedding card that had to be posted, but I think I will give it to my mum for Mothers day. Sorry for the late post this weekend, but I got completely sidetracked cleaning out my crafting supplies – it was time for a spring clean and I haven’t  even scratched the surface yet. I have a little bubble of an idea forming for making card kits, but will have to pop it on the back burner until after the June fair. I will keep you all posted! Til next time….

Nuvo Glimmer Paste!!

_MG_0604 (Medium) A couple of weeks ago we got some new Nuvo Glimmer Paste into the shop, and I couldn’t resist having a bit of a play with it!I used the clear glimmer paste and brushed it through a stencil to create the glittery background on this card. I love Glimmer paste! It is really shiny and glittery, and dries really quickly. I used the gold glimmer paste to paint the chipboard bird, and the background paper on this card is Kaisercraft Rose Avenue. I added flowers, ribbon and lace to finish. I thought I had finished my cruise cards this week but they asked for another class so I have been working on that and today I am off to the craft room to make a couple of birthday cards for upcoming birthdays. Til tomorrow…..

Very last of Make it Berry..

img_9349-mediumThis is the very last of my October Afternoon Make it Berry collection. I have loved revisiting this collection, but  what is left of it has gone into the surplus to requirements bag, as I can’t keep everything. My craft room is becoming a fire hazard! I made this card as a DL size card ( cardstock 21 x 21 cm and folded in half) to accommodate the tall reindeer image. A bit of offset layering, lace and ribbon and this one is ready to go! A new series tomorrow, Til then ….

found another Belle Vie card!

img_9342-mediumOops! I was all ready to move on to some christmas cards when I found one more card made with Julie Nutting Belle Vie paper (I only purchased 2 papers from this collection)This actually was the last one I made using up the last of the paper.I die cut a scalloped rectangle , and 2 butterflies, inked everything, and added the last of my bead string ( I have bought some more – Kaisercraft make it now, but the length that I have been using came off the dress of a vintage doll)ribbon, bow and sequins to decorate.Early finish from work today, so a bit of time to put my feet up! til tomorrow….

Belle Vie..

img_9336-mediumI purchased just a couple of sheets of this collection – Julie Nutting Belle Vie,and this was the first card I made with it. I covered the card blank with a piece of patterned paper and Inked the edges with tea dye distress ink.Using a stampin up stamp and ink I stamped the dress form and fussy cut.All the trims on this card were out on my desk – just bits and pieces and scraps so it was good to use them all! The ribbons were stampin up, the lace and flower prima and some old beading and gauze.A day off today, but busy running errands, and thinking about upcoming classes.I have a few ideas buzzing around and look forward to some time in the craft room this weekend to start them all! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft True Romance

IMG_9327 (Medium)This is the last Kaisercraft True romance for a little while, next in the queue are some Christmas cards made with some new release papers. This card still relies heavily on layers, and inking each piece with tea Dye ink. There is some fussy cutting as well as a collectable from the range. The sentiment was die cut with Kaisercraft occasions Dies on glitter cardstock..(Also from Kaisercraft).Kaisercrafts glitter cardstock from this year doesn’t shed its glitter..which is fantastic!I purposely trimmed the paper background so that the flowers were in opposite corners. Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Mademoiselle

IMG_6558I found a Kaisercraft Mademoiselle card that I haven’t posted yet..I used 12 x 12 papers for this one, and some fussy cut pieces from more 12 x 12 paper. I used a kaisercraft occassions die to die cut the greeting in gold cardstock, added some gold thread behind, and hand crocheted a doily ( still practising !) and added some bead, and bling , ribbon bow , in the centre. The cardstock base is a piece of stampin up cardstock. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft mademoiselle 2..

IMG_0340 (Medium)I know I mentioned some stamped cards in my previous post, but Nathan did some Photoing, and there was one Kaisercraft mademoiselle card in the group,so I wanted to put it up with yesterdays card, so that we aren’t jumping all over the place! For this card i have used some of the 12 x 12 papers. The frame is from the 12 x 12 card front sheets. There was some words in the centre, but I didn’t want to use them, so I cut the inside of the frame away and backed it instead with some 12 x 12 paper. With this collection there is a specialty sheet covered with lots of lovely images which I sat and fussy cut out one evening, and that’s where the lady came from! All I needed then was a kaisercraft flower, ribbon bow and some pearls to finish. Til tomorrow…

Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses number 5…

IMG_0317 (Medium)Hello and welcome to my new subscribers! Today we are looking at the last of my Bo Bunny Butterfly Kisses cards ( for now..I love this paper collection and will be re visiting it soon, but for now I have to make some Fathers day cards). This one is my favourite of the series because I have gone back to basics, relying on the paper to do all the work! The base is stampin up cardstock, and the first layer is a piece cut from one of the 12 x 12 sheets. The next piece is from the matching noteworthy pack, and I fussy cut some pink / apricot frondy bits from more paper and added a butterfly collectable and ribbon bow. Today i am teaching a class over at the retirement village,so i must go and remind myself what we are actually doing and gather all my bits and pieces together! Til tomorrow….

I punched some flowers, added some liquid pearls and a kaisercraft flower, and a ribbon bow. Today in the craftt room I have finally found some time to sit down andd create with the new safari adventures paper by Graphic 45, I thought it might be perfect for some fathers day cards , which is what the next few weeks is going to be all about!
