Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 13,14,15,and 16

Four cards today, as I want to show these christmas cards while you are all still making them! Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 6″ pad and matching collectables. I have made so many cards out of this collection, and I haven’t even started on the 12 x 12 paper yet – might keep it for next year! Just a bit of clever layering, and some ribbon, lace, bakers twine and craftworks candii is all that was needed to complete these 4. Another 4 tomorrow.. til tomorrow….

Prima Tea Thyme card

Now for a change from Christmas cards I made this one using Prima Tea Thyme patterned paper and my cuttlebug.the die I used were – spellbinders labels 17, lace doily accents, and Memory box La Rue Flourish. The sentiment ( Love it) is from a stampin Up set called Apothecary Art, and the pleated satin ribbon is also stampin Up. I just added lace and perfect pearls to this one to finish it.Tonight I want to spend a bit of time in the craft room, doing some special orders, but first I have to find my work table which is under such a pile of stuff! Til tomorow…

Kaisercraft Turtle dove 11 and 12

Here are the last 2 in my kaisercraft turtle dove collection for now, tomorrow we will have a little break from christmas, and see what else is in my card files. These two cards use the Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 6″ pad and the matching collectables. I just added a little ribbon. The image on the left hand card was cut from a sheet in the 6″pad, and using the second sheet in the pad I cut the image again and 3d’ed it on top with some foam pads. I think this one is my favourite card from the series. Today is more christmas cards – will I ever be finished? and a class to teach over at the Village so must get my bag ready for that! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 7 and 8

In a couple of days we will have a little break from christmas cards, but i wanted to post a few that I did over the weekend, using kaisercarft Turtle Dove 6″ pad and matching collectables. All I added were the kaisercraft sparklets and a little bit of ribbon. I have had good value with this collection, and still have lots of bits left to continue making! Tonight I am heading into the craft room to make some wedding anniversary cards – Mum was asking for some ideas, so I will sit down tonight and see what I come up with. Til tomorrow…

Anna Griffin camilla 3 and 4

Two together for this post! Still with Anna Griffin Camilla collection, and matching die – cuts. The lattice is a die by Cheery Lyn designs, ( number 2) and I added ribbon, magnolia chandelier garland drops, hat pins, perfect pearls and kindy glitz to finish. I got sidetracked today and made a canvas art for my craft room door – will show it when Nathan photos it! Til tomorrow…

Anna Griffin Camilla number 2

Anna Griffin camilla collection – the rose die cut wasn’t coloured, so I coloured it using tim holtz distress inks and a finger dauber, or as one of my lovely mature ladies called it – a cardmakers thimble! – that tickled my fancy, and may be what I call them from now on!I just added some perfect pearls , and ribbon.Sat down today to plan out my November lesson – the ideas are not coming – I blame the paper I chose, I thought it would be easy to work with, but turns out it’s not, so may go back to the drawing board and choose something completely different! After tea I will give it another go, til tomorrow….

Vintage style

A short break from all things christmas to have a look at some new papers I purchased a couple of weeks ago – they are Anna Griffin from the Camilla collection, and I only bought a few sheets, not the whole range, but I did also purchase the matching die cut embellishments. These papers were gorgeous to work with – I love the soft colours, and for this card I turned on the vintage flavour by adding lots of ribbon, lace and bling. I used my spellbinders Dress form die and painted the die cut with Viva Metallic silver paint, and had great fun dressing it! In the craft room today I am making more christmas cards, I have decided to do one day xmas and one day non xmas – that keeps the ideas fresh! Til tomorrow…

Something girly and feminine for a change!

I have posted something similar to this in the past, but I was in need of bling and colour today, and this was a very recent make, so here it is! All supplies here except the flower, lace and ek success punch are from stampin up. The cardstock is Pool party, the gorgeous paper ( so lovely I had to buy more) is Attic Boutique, and I fussy cut the bodice from one of the sheets. I created the dress with very wide lace from Spotlight, and added 2 strip of narrower lace across the top of the bodice. The ribbons are stampin up pool party and cherry cobbler.I created a tag abd stamped the greeting from my Stampin up petite pairs set. These stamps are great for little tag greetings. It is very cold here in adelaide today, but I have put on the heater in the craft room, and intend to unwind in there for a couple of hours this evening! Til tomorrow…..

A wedding card

I I did this card for an order, and the colour scheme was based on the colour scheme of the invitation – all cream and white. The cardstock is a lovely pearlescent cardstock, and the bottom of the card has a specialty paper that is very textured. I cut my hearts with an x-cut heart die, and added a heart buckle to my ribbon. I used a swiss dots embossing folder on the bottom heart for a little more texture, and just used peel offs for the sentiment which was stuck on to a spellbinders label 17 die cut which had been trimmed to size. All that was needed to finish were a few kaisercraft pearls.Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start when it comes to colours for a wedding card if you don’t know the Brides colour scheme, but in those situations I don’t think you can go wrong copying the colour scheme of the invitation – there’s usually a hint there!
