This is the last in my Prima Tea Thyme collection ( for now) and for this one I have used the papers, and the matching journalling notes to make the frame. The Bird is Die cut from my sizzix tim holtz caged bird, and I just added some seam binding and kaisercraft rhinestones to finish.I love all the paper in this range, and will get back to it after I have finished with Christmas cards! Til tomorrow….

Prima tea Thyme number 3
Todays card uses Prima Tea Thyme patterned papers, and a couple of dies – memory box la rue flourish, and Sizzix Tim Holtz caged bird. The bird I used in the cage is from a packet of Prima resist canvas. these are wonderful things! You can colour them to match your project, and when you do a pattern appears on the canvas! Wonderful! I just added some seam binding and bling to finish.I completed my special orders today, and am now back to Christmas cards. It’s back to work tomorrow so probably won’t get too much achieved in the craft room until the end of the week – til tomorrow….
All is Bright 3 and 4
A little bit vintage, a little bit shabby – My Minds Eye All is Bright paper and matching brad and stickers. I did these 6″ square because I couldn’t bear to cut down these gorgeous papers.I added some seam binding, bakers twine and a big flower I found in my “bits” box.The cardstock used was Stampin Up crumbcake and Cherry Cobbler.I spent a lovely morning at paper Flourish working on my November lessons, and this afternoon I have just been playing around with some new bits and pieces – not really making anything – just seeing what happens when I don’t have a plan – not a lot it seems! Til tomorrow….
Prima Zephyr Collection
I feel in the mood for something bold and bright this afternoon, and this card fits the bill nicely! The paper, chipboard and Journalling notecard are all from the Prima Zephyr collection, and the sentiment and Pool Party seam binding are from stampin Up.The butterfly was die cut using Memory Box Moonlight and Kaliedascope butterfly dies, and I used a little bakers twine as well. I kept the canvas keys til last because these are something new I found and I love them. They are Prima resist canvas ( the pack these came from was the clocks, gears and keys pack). Its a pack chock full of die cut shapes, and when you colour them – I used a tim holtz ranger ink pad and a blending tool, there is a pattern that resists the ink. I bought the pack with the birds in it too, which I haven’t used yet, but may get the opportunity now that my week – end has started – Yay!So looking forward to getting into the craft room and playing wiht all my new paper purchases! Til tomorrow….
The Last prima songbird ( number 10 and 11)
Well this is it. The last two cards from my Prima Songbird patterned paper series. 11 cards from 4 sheets of paper was pretty good, and I only have little scraps left.I used stampin up sentiment stamps on these two, and trimmed with lace, seam binding, prima flowers, liquid pearls and bling strips. Tomorrow I might check if there are any more Fathers day cards in my files to be shown, for those of you that have left your cards til the last minute!Til tomorrow….
Prima songbird number 8
I hope you are all still enjoying this series, only a couple more to go!Of course the paper is still prima songbird, and for this one I just did lots of layers, using the 12 x 12 papers, white cardstock, and stampin up early espresso cardstock. I added a prima flower, seam binding, and some bling to finish. Short post today, as I am still not well, and am heading off back to bed.Til tomorrow….
Prima songbird number 7 with cuttlebug
I made good use of my cuttlebug on this card, using the few papers I had of the Prima Songbird collection. I die cut some circles and layered them up, and used my spellbinders labels 17 die to add interest to another layer. I inked all my edges with tim holtz antique linen distress ink, and added lace, seam binding ( dyed with stampin up baja breeze ink) and a prima flower.I also rounded the corners of my card. The sentiment is a stamp from my stampin up field flowers set.I am suffering from a cold today, so I think it will just be a night in front of the heater with some lemon and honey! Til tomorrow…
Prima Songbird number 1
Yesterday while I was teaching my lesson I discovered that the new Prima collections were in store, so I purchased quite a bit of paper! When I got home I realised that I hadn’t even cut into some of the previous Prima releases, and so today I rectified that! I decided that I couldn’t touch the new stuff until I had at least played with some of the older collections and took out all my Prima Songbird paper ( which only turned out to be 4 sheets – not sure why thats all I bought of this collection – it’s gorgeous – I can only think that by the time I saw it this is all that was left of it) . Anyway I had 4 sheets, One was immediately fussy cut into lots of bits and pieces, which left 3 pieces for backing and matting. I made 11 cards, and that is another collection finished.Over the next couple of days I will show all the cards I made with my 4 sheets, as Nathan was very obliging and photoed them for me this afternoon – a couple of them were still drying! This card was the last one I made and it’s my favourite. I had very little paper left, so dug out my stamps to come up with this one. The bird stamp is stampin up young vermillion ( a favourite), and the leafy background is from the stampin up just believe set. The with love greeting is from stampin up field flowers set. Inks used were stampin up certainly celery, choc chip, baja breeze, and ranger tim holtz antique linen. I added white seam binding, prima flowers, and white perfect pearls to finish. I am on a creative roll now, so am heading back into the craft room to start on another collection. Til tomorrow….
Thank You card
Still using the Fine and Sunny kaisercraft range of papers and collectables today ( the last one) and I stamped the sentiment with a Stampin Up stamp from the Perfectly penned set. I dyed some seam binding and tied it a ribbon and added it to the top of the card.We had a lovely lesson today, and my girls did a great job of following my garbled instructions! The great news is that I am doing a few extra lessons next month, so giving up my other job is a goal that is getting closer! Til tomorrow….
xmas cards made with non – xmas paper!
I know it’s really early for a christmas card, but today was our annual xmas cards for the troops marathon, and it all went like clockwork. We had lots of helpers for inserts, fussy cutting and bagging, and Nathan roamed around taking photos, so I am sure there will be some kind of video clip to show you soon! We made just over 300 cards, our best effort to date. Before I dug out my xmas boxes I made a few cards using non xmas paper, so I thought I would put them up here over the next day or two to show you all. Here I used scraps of blue and white patterned paper, white cardstock and my Stampin Up dasher stamp.I punched both the layers with a scallop edge bored punch, and I tied white seam binding around the base and tied it into a big generous floppy bow.We had to be careful what bling we put on the cards as they were being sent overseas so the cards had to stay relatively flat, but you could add rhinestones or pearls to this one.Til tomorrow….
