wedding cards.

IMG_6524 (Medium)IMG_6527 (Medium)IMG_6531 (Medium)I will apologise for the quality of the photos first thing – we had terrible trouble with the light – and have discovered that morning is a much better time than afternoon for taking photos in my dining room! The first card I have posted twice as neither photo is really clear, but hopefully with the two of them you get the gist! I heat embossed in silver the stampin up marry me stamp, and did some embossing with a cuttlebug hearts embossing folder. I added prime flowers, leaves, martha stewart leaf punched leaves, and a ribbon bow to finish. the second card is a crossover front card again embossed with the cuttlebug embossing folder, gold heat embossed sentiment, and assorted flowers, leaves and pearls to finish. I will show a couple more wedding cards next time – I had to make a few for a commission. I taught a great class this morning, always good to see my ladies, and now I will have to start thinking about what to cook for tea…Til tomorrow…..

younger boy cards

IMG_6505 (Medium)IMG_6507 (Medium)Younger boy cards today, the top card is made with some October Afternoon paper which was forgotten  in a drawer, and although it doesn’t show in the photos I have fussy cut a couple of the ducks to pop on top with foam pads for a bit of a 3d feel. The bottom card was also made with some paper found in the same drawer, and I can’t tell you the brand name as the identity strip had been cut off! This paper had little cute animals printed over it so I die cut a couple of them out with my spellbinders circles die, and I punched some scallop edges out of plain cardstock with my stampin up borders punch.Off to work now…til tomorrow….

A quick and simple one ..

IMG_6504 (Medium)A really simple card today that started with the negative piece of a kaisercraft leaf flourish die cut. After I made my card using the die cut I looked at the scraps left and this blue piece of bazzil where I had cut out the shape was the perfect size for a card front. I backed the piece with more scrap – a piece of brown bazzil this time, stuck on a few flowers, a ribbon bow, mounted the whole piece on a card base. A quick card done in about 5 minutes, and no more scraps on the table! I have finally managed to spend a couple of hours in the craft room today finishing up a few orders, and creating some great bright cards using kaisercraft Say Aloha paper collection and some stamping and colouring thrown in as well. The colours in this collection brightened my day!Til tomorrow…..

A couple of special family makes

IMG_3065 (Medium)IMG_3074 (Medium)two cards today that I made with specific people in mind – that doesn’t happen often ,ususally I am making cards for classes, orders or craft fairs. The top card was for my sons’ birthday. the stamp set is from stampin up ( Guy greetings),as is the designer paper and I coloured the image with copics. My boys and husband run a wrestling company and gym so this was perfect for Daniel. The bottom card was for a kitchen tea,so I made an apron and popped a recipe card ( paper and recipe card by graphic 45 – home sweet home) in the apron pocket.Today I taught a lesson over at the retirement village, and enjoyed afternoon tea with my ladies. My sister came along to help and she gave me the new Stampin Up catalogue so I am looking forward to a night in front of the heater with my pen and notepad compiling my wishlist! Til tomorrow….

The final 4 simple stories I am!!

IMG_3100 (Medium) IMG_3101 (Medium)Here are the final 4 cards I have made with Simple Stories I Am. A bit of layering on these ones, and some of the extra embellishments I used were a metal key, ribbon bow, sequins,Die cut vellum butterfly and a flower. As you can tell I loved working with this paper collection and think I made 32 cards altogether with this purchase! Today was a day off for me but very busy shopping and time spent getting my little car fixed, but I have a little while before I have to organize tea so will head to the craft room to start a couple of customer orders.til tomorrow….

Another 6 simple stories I am..

IMG_3097 (Medium)IMG_3098 (Medium)IMG_3099 (Medium)This paper just goes on and on!!Another 6 cards with Simple Stories I am  paper collection, we have one more post and we will be able to move on. The common theme with this group of 6 is that they only rely on the paper ( except for a few sequins on card 3) .No embellishing required. I have been making some cards with kaisercrafts’ new release which is so bright and fun, just what we need in the depths of winter weather! til tomorrow…..

simple stories I am 17,18,19,20,21, and 22

IMG_3091 (Medium)IMG_3092 (Medium)IMG_3094 (Medium)we are back to Simple stories I am paper collection  just a few papers but so many cards! I used my dymo labeller on some of them to add to the sentiments, added a flower or sequins here and there but really not much more embellishing required on these ones. Today is Mothers day here so it has been a lovely afternoon with my sisters and mum at our local papercrafting store having a girlie day out! til tomorrow….

the very special last Bo Bunny Garden journal card….

IMG_3111 (Medium)IMG_3113 (Medium)This is the last two Bo Bunny garden Journal cards I have made – No doubt there will be more at some time, but todays cards are the last for now. The blue one uses a kaisercraft dres form die ( I love it) and the bottom one is an experiment in shabby chic style, so lots of ripping of paper ( so hard for me to do) and distressing and inking, mixed with lace, tulle, ribbon and bling. I made a matching box to fit it into.Today is a great day..i finally have a day where I can spend a great amount of time in the craft room, and just as well as it’s only 4 weeks until my 3 day craft fair, so it’s all about making enough cards to sell!Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Garden journal 6,7 and 8

IMG_3108 (Medium)IMG_3109 (Medium)IMG_3110 (Medium)I taught a lesson with this paper this morning ( bo bunny Garden Journal) and we all agreed it is a gorgeous paper collection. On all three cards I have really just relied on the paper, and fussy cutting. with the addition of lace, ribbon, some flowers, and the big prima flower on the bottom card these cards are great fun to create! Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Garden Journal number 5

IMG_3108 (Medium)there was going to be two cards today, but the computer has something against uploading my photos, I am blaming the weather,it’s been very stormy today, hopefully tomorrow it behaves itself! So, todays card is Bo Bunny garden journal papers, with some assorted flowers, punched leaves, and a bit of bling. I inked all the edges with tea dye distress ink. Til tomorrow….
