early post today as I may not get back on here today… very busy…..Prima tea Thyme collection – the top card also uses the matching stickers, and some pearls, ribbon and lace. the bottom card uses all that, plus some chipboard which I stamped on with staz-on ink and a stampin up sentiment stamp.Staz on ink is the best for these shiny chipboard pieces because it doesnt smudge.Til tomorrow…..

Prima Tea Thyme number 10 and 11

So, the very first collection of papers I took out to sort through was Prima tea Thyme. I didn’t get very far in the sorting out, but got streets ahead in the card making, and none of this paper made it into the discard pile! The top card had so much embellishing including…ribbon, lace, punched butterflies, rhinestones, kindyglitz, letter stickers, chipboard, and a flower. The bottom card escaped most of my over the top embellishing and just had a journalling card from the same collection, punched butterflies, ribbon ,lace and rhinestones.A few more to show in this collections but we will do them over the next day or two in groups of two or three. this morning I taught a class over at Paper Flourish, and as usual enjoyed my time spent with my ladies, who are much more like friends than students! Stampin Up Lotus Blossom stamp set

This stamp set from Stampin Up is a three step stamp set which means you stamp the flowers up in layers, laying the solid stamp down first in the lightest colour, and then the second stamp which has more petal detail second and the last layer which is really just highlighting in the darkest colour. The top card , which was inspired by a card I pinned to my pinterest board, uses all stampin up products including ribbon and patterned paper. The bottom cards have some cardstock punched with my martha stewart doily border punch. Nearly time to go to work, so til tomorrow……
Stampin Up Guy Greetings stamp set number 2…

As promised, the bottom card shows what I did with the extra hat and mustache I die cut with Sizzix top hats and Mustaches die set. So simple – only added googly eyes and a stamped banner greeting. the patterned paper was on my table,( not sure what company )and the cardstock was stampin up early espresso. For the top card I took inspiration from pinterest -when I buy a new stamp set I always have a look to see what other people are doing with it, and the first card made is usually a variation on one of these ideas, to get me into the swing of working with the stamp set. I find after the first card the ideas come naturally thick and fast! so, inspired by pinterest, but with a few different elements. I added some twine, stamped in early espresso ink ( stampin Up) and the cardstock is also stampin up – early espresso, sahara sand, and ivory confetti ( sadly the last one is retired, so no longer available). No craft room today – We are off out looking for new floor coverings… til tomorrow….
Stampin Up guy greetings stamp set
I recently bought a stamp set from stampin Up called guy greetings. I haven’t had nearly enough time to play with it as much as I want to, but have managed to make a few cards using it which I will show you all over the next day or two. It’s brilliant for mens cards, and I made this one for My younger son Daniel who will be graduating from University in a couple of months. The cardstock I used was also from Stampin Up – Early espresso, soft suede and very vanilla.I inked around all the edges for a bit of definition, and the hat is die cut from a sizzix die – Top hats and Mustaches ( tomorrow I will show you what i did with the Mustache!)I added a little frim around the hat for a bit of texture.A card is just not finished without texture!Hot,hot hot here today, so although I really feel the need for some relaxation in the craft room after a hard first week back at work, the day may be spent under the air-con duct reading a good book! til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft xo 4 and 5

These are the last two cards I made with Kaisercraft Xo papers. I have put it away for now as what with this collection and the previous simple stories series of cards I have enough wedding, engagement and anniversary cards to last me quite some time.Thinking of that very thing I made the top card a birthday card and punched a border, die cut a doily and added some collectables, ribbon and pearls. the bottom card was the card I gave my husband for Valentines day.The strip across the middle was fussy cut from some of the paper, and by luck I have a border punch ( by EK Success) which punches a very similar border which I added punched out of white cardstock.I just added a heart collectable and small ribbon bow to finish.Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft xo…2 and 3..

Kaisercraft xo paper collection. The top card ( which will be mum and Dads anniversary card next month) has a card front cut from a piece of 12 x 12 paper and some use of the matching collectables, and a ribbon bow. the bottom card also uses a card front from the 12 x 12 paper, and I have popped on a die cut flower which was sitting handily on my desk, a pearl and a die cut heart. This one I put an engagement verse inside. The cardstock that I used for this whole range of cards is stampin up pool party.Well, it was back to work yesterday, and everything is falling into the work routine, so I must be off or else I will be late for my second day back at work! til tomorrow…..
Dressing up my Prima doll stamps

I used some more of the kaisercraft spring bloom paper collection to dress my Prima Doll stamps.I love creating cards with these stamps, and they always look different depending on the colours I use. I also used some of the collectables from the collection, and some fussy cut flowers. the butterfly on the second card is a prima butterfly. Very hot here today, very lazy day! til tomorrow…..
Kaisercraft Spring bloom

When sorting out my papers I came across some Kaisercraft Spring Bloom paper so quickly put all tidying on hold to make up a couple of cards while inspiration was upon me!The top card just uses the papers and matching collectables, while the bottom card uses a cut out that I did on my Cricut machine and the forever young cartridge.I also used some wee flowers and a leaf and butterfly punch for this one.I kept some of the paper but a lot of it has now gone into a bag to sell at the craft fair in June. It’s tough, but decisions have to be made or else I can’t buy more!speaking of which, I finally got kaisercrafts blue bay, and Betsy’s couture range this week, so something new to play with!Til tomorrow….
Simple Stories the story of us numbers 11 and 12

Here are the last two cards in my simple stories – the story of us series. The top card (anniversary) has just lace and sequins added, while the bottom card just has a bit of fussy cutting and sequins.I did enjoy making these cards – the paper was so easy to work with, and I made all these cards just in one sitting.Love it when that happens.Last night I went to a class to learn how to colour with copic markers, lots to learn all at once, so today I have been in the craft room practising, but I have to get a few more colours before I can complete any of my images. So I moved onto distress ink colouring as I have a lot of images stamped out ready to paint, so no completed work today, just relaxing fun playing with colours! til tomorrow…..
