Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose number 4

IMG_5837 (Medium)There’s that bird again – isn’t he gorgeous? The paper is  a piece of the 12 x 12 paper from Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose, and the tag is from the matching collectables pack. I stamped the sentiment with a stampin up stamp and added a blue flower ( kaisercraft) and kindyglitz to finish. I have had a very productive day in the craft room today, just sitting and experimenting with some stamps, and mucking about with different colour combinations – very satisfying. My holidays have flown by and I can’t believe it’s back to work next Tuesday for me! For now though, I must go and pack my class bag as I’m teaching tomorrow – so looking forward to seeing my ladies! Til tomorrow….

kaisercraft Porcelain rose number 3

IMG_5836 (Medium)This card uses a couple of pieces of the 12 x 12 paper from the Kaisercraft porcelain rose collection, and a couple of pieces from the packet of collectables that match. I stamped the sentiment ( stampin Up) on one of the collectables, and put the banner piece behind it to break up the black and white. The leaves in the corner are punched with martha Stewart leaf punch, and I punched a circle, cut it into a spiral and rolled a flower.Today has been a day of straightening up the craft room, still some work to do in there – I have bought some new storage bits and pieces, so it’s a good time to have a thorough clean out and donate some supplies to the ladies at the reirement village – my mojo seems to have left me for today – hope it’s back tomorrow! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose number 2

IMG_5835 (Medium)Todays card is really simple, just the 6″ pad and collectables in the Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose collection, with a stampin up sentiment and flower. It’s the matting and inking around the edges that gives it a bit a of interest, and I just love the bird!I had a wonderful  3 days at the craft fair. Saw lots of my ladies – thank you all for stopping by to say hello, sold a lot ( have to get back into the craft room to replenish my boxes once I have tidied it up) and stocked up on lovely things like lace and buttons. Today I have been working on  an order, I still have a week of holidays left, so tomorrow will be spent sorting out the craft room – everything has just been dropped in there at the moment! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Porcelain rose number 1

IMG_5834 (Medium)Quick post tonight as I am a bit tired after my two days at the craft fair, and one more day still to go. It’s been great fun, meeting new people, seeing lots of familiar aces, and selling lots! todays card is made using kaisercrafts new range – Porcelain Rose. I particularly like this one as it has a few different colourways as you will see over the next couple of days. For this card I used the 6″ pad and matching collectables, and added a hand rolled flower ( easy to do – just punch out a circle, cut it into a spiral and roll it up) a kaisercraft flower, ribbon and a stampin up sentiment stamp. I am off to put my feet up – Til tomorrow…..

For the Record…

IMG_5823 (Medium)This is a card that I made for a sketch challenge – I used For the Record 2 paper, cut some banners, punched a flower, and added a couple of little flowers. I handcut a banner and stamped it with a hero arts birthday stamp.I think this one will be in an upcoming Quick cards magazine.I have been over to the craft fair site today and set up my stall – looking forward to the weekend! Til tomorrow….

White on White Wedding card – cuttlebug

IMG_5822 (Medium)There is nothing quite so classical ( and Classy) as white on white. If I am making a wedding card and I don’t know the colour theme for the wedding I always do white on white. The key here is to use texture to make the layers stand out. So – that’s embossing folders ( swiss dots and Vintage wallpaper from stampin Up on this one) foam pads for height, and lace, ribbon, pearls and assorted flowers for mor texture and interest. The little strip of gold embossed paper is from Kaisercraft After  5 6″pad. Tomorrow I am setting up my craft fair stall, so post may be a little late, and I will try to stick to daily blogs over the weekend to let you all know how I am going, getting quite excited now! Til tomorrow….

Engagement card – After 5

IMG_5820 (Medium)Todays card is an Engagement card made with Kaisercraft After 5 papers from the 6′ paper pad, spellbinders Floral ovals die, and just a bit of ribbon, lace, and some flowers ( Prima) and pearls. I have been  in the craft room a little while today, just finishing up some projects – all my lessons for July are done and I am back to trying to use up some older paper collections to make room for more new stuff! Til tomorrow….

Wedding card – On This day..

IMG_5818 (Medium)I don’t often use patterned papers for wedding cards – I usually like quite plain cards with a little cuttlebugging for these type of cards, but this paper is from Kiasercraft and called On This day so I thought it was wholly appropriate for a wedding card! I also used the matching collectables, and the stamp set that is released to match this collection. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder, and added a little lace and opal liquid pearls. I am now all organised for my craft fair this weekend, and getting quite excited – can’t wait to meet so many fellow crafters in one place..Til tomorrow…

Cuttlebug – Wedding Card

IMG_5817 (Medium)For the next few days I will show you some wedding and Engagement cards I have been working on for my craft fair stall. This one makes the most of my cuttlebug, and I used 3 different embossing folders – Tied together ( couture creations) for the main background, and swiss dots ( Cuttlebug) and Vintage wallpaper ( stampin up) on the Hearts which were punched out with a Stampin Up punch. Spellbinders Floral Oval for the wording, and a ribbon bow, flowers and pearls to finish. The cardstock is Stampin Up Pool party, and pink pirouette. The nice thing about this design is you can change the colours to match the wedding theme! Til tomorrow….

Masking – An Experiment…

IMG_2956 (Medium)A bit of an experiment today – I thought I would try my hand at using a mask. This one is a kaisercraft cogs mask which I inked over with distress inks and a sponge. The paper is from Kaisercraft Attitude 6″ pad, and I die cut some more cogs using my spellbinders sprightly sprockets die. I painted them with Viva silver metallic paint, and used craftworks candii on them when I had affixed them to the card ( look like brads don’t they!) I distressed and inked all edges of the card, and finished with a stampin up sentiment.I also had quite a mess to clean up afterwards, but thoroughly enjoyed myself making this teen boys card!Til tomorrow….
