Graphic 45 Bird Song card

Here is my first ( and only at the moment as I have been distracted with xmas cards) Graphic 45 Bird Song card. Lovely paper and I am looking forward to doing more with it, in the meantime, I did a lot of fussy cutting for this one, and mounted the images on to stampin Up cardstock – Earl Espresso and Baja Breeze. I added some seam binding and gold liquid pearls for texture.Today is a beautiful day outside, and it’s a shame to waste it, so perhaps no creating but sitting in the garden with a good book! Til tomorrow….

Crate paper Little Boy Blue 8

This is the last in my Crate Paper little Boy Blue series. Tomorrow we will move on – possibly more christmas! Buttons and bakers twine were added.Handily enough the paper was printed with the word baby which I cut into a banner. The tags were also printed on the paper, so it was just a matter of cutting them out and layering onto each other. It has been a day of finishing off projects in the craft room, and tomorrow I look forward to a full day  with no interruptions in there working on some new designs. Til tomorrow…

For You

Here is a different style of card for me – hardly any patterned paper! I have relied on stamps and dies for this one. Everything on this cards Stampin Up – the patterned paper is from the comfort cafe designer paper collection, the stamps are from the Layered Labels stamp set, the dies are from the Apothecary accents framelits die set, cardstock and ink  are Cajun craze and soft suede, and even the ribbon is stampin up – crumbcake! I have quite a few projects on the go in the craft room today, which is highly unusual for me – I like to finish one thing before I start on another, so tonight my mission is to clear up some of the outstanding projects.Til tomorrow….

Simple sympathy card

Quite often the last thing we want to do is make a sympathy card when we need one. I find it’s always handy to have a couple put away for when they are needed, and my rule with sympathy cards is the simpler the better. The card I have done here is a perfect example of my theory. I have used stampin up cardstock – early espresso, crumbcake and very vanilla, and a stampin Up stamp which looks ok even though it’s not coloured – any simple stamp will do – and a simple seam binding bow.I have also subtly inked around all the edges with a brown ink pad ( in this case Stamp in up Early espresso). I had a lovely lesson with my ladies this morning – it’s so good to see them every month, and they are always so good even when I might be a bit vague, as I was this morning – I had a sick son at home, he seems a little better this afternoon, so all is well in my world again! I have made so many cards out of this collection, and I haven’t even started on the 12 x 12 paper yet – might keep it for next year! Just a bit of clever layering, and some ribbon, lace, bakers twine and craftworks candii is all that was needed to complete these 4. Another 4 tomorrow.. til tomorrow….

Christmas All is Bright 7 and 8

My Minds Eye All is Bright papers, and stickers. For these two cards I have teamed them with Spellbinders 2012 snowflake pendant die, and after I had die cut the snowflakes I used the waste as a stencil on the card on the right hand side. inking through it to leave the snowflake pattern on the cardstock. I really liked this look, and it has made me look at my waste offcuts in a new light – you may see more of this technique on other cards!I also used doilies on these two cards, and a bit of bakers twine and seam binding. They are quite a modern look and will be good for the younger members of my family. The cardstock I used is Stampin Up – Crumbcake, cherry cobbler and Baja Breeze. I have found some graphic 45 christmas paper from last year (aptly called Christmas Past!) in my craft room – it hasn’t been cut into so I can only think that I bought it after I had made last years cards, anyway that’s what I am playing with today, and thoroughly enjoying myself – I do love Graphic 45! All is Bright 5 and 6

My Minds Eye All is Bright , cards 5 and 6. Here, the cardstock is Stampin Up Crumbcake, cherry cobbler, and Baja breeze. I used the papers, chipboard, and stickers on these two cards, and also used my Spellbinders 2012 snowflake penant die, and seam binding, bakers twine and an Ek success border punch.Tonight I plan to spend a little time in the craft room , I am working on a design, which is coming along nicely.. Til tomorrow….

All is Bright 3 and 4

A little bit vintage, a little bit shabby – My Minds Eye All is Bright paper and matching brad and stickers. I did these 6″ square because I couldn’t bear to cut down these gorgeous papers.I added some seam binding, bakers twine and a big flower I found in my “bits” box.The cardstock used was Stampin Up crumbcake and Cherry  Cobbler.I spent a lovely morning at paper Flourish working on my November lessons, and this afternoon I have just been playing around with some new bits and pieces – not really making anything – just seeing what happens when I don’t have a plan – not a lot it seems! Til tomorrow….

Vintage style

A short break from all things christmas to have a look at some new papers I purchased a couple of weeks ago – they are Anna Griffin from the Camilla collection, and I only bought a few sheets, not the whole range, but I did also purchase the matching die cut embellishments. These papers were gorgeous to work with – I love the soft colours, and for this card I turned on the vintage flavour by adding lots of ribbon, lace and bling. I used my spellbinders Dress form die and painted the die cut with Viva Metallic silver paint, and had great fun dressing it! In the craft room today I am making more christmas cards, I have decided to do one day xmas and one day non xmas – that keeps the ideas fresh! Til tomorrow…
