Holly Bright 7 and 8

IMG_5366 (Medium)IMG_5367 (Medium)Our internet outage is over for now, so I thought I would post 2 cards today, we have had so many outages lately that I have a backlog of cards to post and I feel we have been on this series for long enough – so here are the last two cards in my Kaisercraft Holly Bright series. The card at the bottom uses a piece of paper from the 6″ pad for the background, a tag from the matching pack of collectables, and a greeting cut from the 12 x 12 paper that has greetings printed all over it. I just added a cream ribbon bow. The card on the top also has a sheet from the paper pad for the background, and I fussy cut the pine garland from  a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, and also the flowers. the greeting is from the pack of collectables.Today in the craft room I have been jumping around from one project to another – too many ideas and not enough time! til tomorrow….

Prima Lyric number 6

IMG_7714 (Medium)Although this Prima Lyric paper isn’t Christmas paper, I did make a few xmas cards from it – the colours and the word Joy just jumped out at me – so I will show them and then we will move on to something else in the next couple of days. Just a bit of fussy cutting on this one – no ribbon or flowers for this card .This beautiful paper doesn’t need any embellishing.Tonight I am off to the craft room to organise my August classes – I have been very lazy this week and haven’t done any crafting in the craft room, but that is set to change! Til tomorrow….

My yellow and Grey experiment!

IMG_2863 (Medium)The other day I wanted to try a colour combo – Yellow and grey, so over the next couple of days I will show you what I came up with – although I don’t think I have entirely worked this combo out of my system, so later there may be more! I have used a mix of products here – The plain cardstock is Kaisercard – I had trouble finding a pale enough yellow in any other brand. The striped pattern paper is from My MInds Eye – Follow your Heart. The embossing folder is stampin up – Chevron, and the sentiment stamp is also stampin up from Itty bitty banners set. The bunting is stampin up Hearts a Flutter stamps and dies, and I used stampin up sahara sand ink and Ranger squeezed lemonade distress ink.I have saved the best til last – I found a new brand of die cuts for the letters – Die – Versions and the name of the die is Editor in Chief font. These are the best letter dies I have ever tried – the letters fall out of the dies, so excited that I went back ad bought the smaller letter set as well as the larger ones – I am all set now! This afternoon I have made a start on my xmas cards – early I know, but I plan to do a few a week, that way I am not stuck doing them for weeks on end the last couple of months of the year! Til tomorrow….

Porcelain rose number 9 with acetate

IMG_5847 (Medium)This one was a hard one to photo so i hope you all get the general idea! I used Kiasercraft Porcelain Rose paper, and the gorgeous sheet of acetate that was released with this collection. The 12 x 12 ” acetate has a beautiful pattern all the way around it, with roses, and birds so I did this design a few times using every inch of that acetate! I cut the front of my base card off and replaced it with acetate, while inside I lined the card with paper, and added a little pocket with a journal card from the matching collectables so that you can write a message to the recipient. Back to work for me today, so bit tired tonight, and a night in front of the tv is all I will be up to! Til tomorrow…

Male card – Parkers patterns

IMG_2954 (Medium)Here is a card I made for my brother-in laws birthday. Everything here is from stampin up – the cardstock is Not quite Navy, and the paper is from the Parkers patterns collection. the sentiment is from the itty Bitty banners stamp set, and the flags in the left hand corner are stamped and die cut using Hearts a flutter dies and stamps.Another set of papers I haven’t had enough time to play with – lucky I have some holidays scheduled in a couple of weeks and will hopefully get to it all then! Til tomorrow….

Botanical Odyssey number 2

IMG_8736 (Medium)Today is Kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey number 2. Just the 6″paper pad, and matching collectables, and a little seam binding for this one – I do love this paper, and in a minute when I return to the craft room where I have been working on May Lessons, I am going to get it back out and make some more cards with this one! I haven’t played nearly enough with it yet! Great to see the rain this afternoon, a great day for crafting. Til tomorrow….

Botanical Odyssey

IMG_8735 (Medium)Early post today, as I missed last nights post as I couldn’t move with a sore leg – all is well today though and I have spent a lovely morning in the craft room. Todays card is made using kaisercraft Botanical Odyssey paper pad and collectables – my favourite recent range release – it is right up my crafting alley – love anything to do with nature.I just added a kaisercraft bling strip on this one, and stamped it with a hero arts happy birthday stamp , and sponged in Vintage photo ink around the edges of everything!I am now making a 40th birthday card, for an order, but have hit a snag deciding what my lady meant when she said retro – to me thats 60’s, but I’m thinking she might have meant 70’s and that’s two different eras with two different styles – I’ll just go back into the craft room and create until something feels right! Til tomorrow…

My Minds Eye My Girl number 5

IMG_8696 (Medium)here is the last card in my My Minds Eye My Girl series. Just a bit of fussy cutting, a bling strip and some ribbon and inking on this one! Cardstock is stampin up Melon mambo. Tomorrow will be some mens cards, but tonight i may spend a little time in the craft room – one last push on the Mothers day cards! Til tomorrow….

My Minds eye my girl number 4

IMG_8695 (Medium)My Minds Eye My girl number 4, and so simple – just a little fussy cutting for the flowers and butterfly, and the addition of a button, my minds eye enamel dots, and bbling. The cardstock and ink are  Meleon mambo from stampin up.back to work today, so no crafting tonight – just a litle tv, and early to bed for me! Til tomorrow….

graphic 45 Secret garden number 1

IMG_8697 (Medium)I only bought this range of papers ( Graphic 45 secret garden) the other day, but I couldn’t wait to start creating with it. it is by far my favourite range of papers at the moment! This first card is very simple, just one piece of patterned paper onto my card base, a little fussy cutting of another sheet and some lace, stampin up trim , a flower and some leaves punched from martha stewart frond punch to finish.Still hot here, I taught a very small class this morning, and we had some issues with the glue drying too quickly ( thats never happened before) so once again, there will probably be no crafting tonight – I am a bit over this hot weather! Til tomorrow….
