Juniper and Sage..

This weeks cards are a lesson in Layering! The paper collection I used here is called Juniper and Sage, by an Australian company called Uniquely Creative. This paper collection had lots of interesting text blocks that I could fussy cut as well as flower and leaf images. On the second card I did a little stenciling, and on the third card I used a great script stamp. I havent been doing so much creating this week, I’ve been preparing my card boxes ready for the June fair. I like to do that early so that I can see if I need to make any specific cards. I may have to make some more Male cards, luckily I have just received my Mintay Garage paper collection so will start on them next week! Til next time, stay safe!

Last five Garden Path cards…

I had more cards made with this collection but I have given them to the avid gardeners in my family! I have lots of paper left over and as soon as I have organised myself for the June Fair ( yes! Its that time of year again!) I will be making more. The young people have embraced indoor plants, and this Uniquely creative Garden Path collection is perfect for making greeting cards for them. The lower two cards have a greeting stamp by stampin up . Its an old one, but I like the vertical nature of it. I cut the front of the cards back, and stamped the greeting on the back flap. The rest of the inner back flap is lined with a piece of patterned paper. Thats been my week in the craft room…til next time, stay safe…

More Wandering down the Garden Path..

I have used a few bits and pieces on a couple of these cards – ribbon, bling, lace and die cuts, but i like the bottom card which is just the papers ( uniquely Creative Garden Path) I love the idea of layering up old pallets for garden beds!In my Garden this week I have been picking Tomatoes, beans, and plums and planting lettuces. Its been a very mild week weather -wise here so some things are taking longer to ripen but we get there in the end! Til next time, stay safe…

A December to Remember

The name of this paper collection is A December to Remember, and it is gorgeous! I love the little Christmas gnomes and have enjoyed creating with them, The collection also has two colourways..the traditional reds and a beautiful clear blue. I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday, and my american friends are staying as warm as they can . Stay safe, til next time xx

Christmas cards..

I have been missing for a couple of months. The loss of dad has been difficult, and I have had no inclination to access the creative part of my brain . I have forced myself to sit down with my colouring books and pencils to just relax, and slowly healing is taking place. I have made a few Christmas cards, I’m not sending them out this year, so they will be put away for the fair. These ones are made in my favourite style – Vintage! The paper is from Uniquely Creative and is called a Very Vintage Christmas. I really have only used the papers, with just a little bling and gold twine on the second card. I will be back soon with more Christmas, in the meantime stay safe !

The last few Mintay Christmas ..for now…

Here are the last few cards I have made with Mintay Merry little Christmas paper collection. I have only added a little ribbon and lace and some silver mirror card. Great collection for simple easy to post christmas cards! These last few weeks , in between rain showers we have been expanding the vegetable garden. We have a shadehouse, seed raising pods, and a couple more beds, all ready for spring planting, so the cardmaking has slipped to the back burner, but now that the garden is ready for vegetable production I should be able to get back to the craft table. I havent completely stopped though. I have been colouring in the evenings while watching tv, it’s so very relaxing and something I need just now!

Til next time, stay safe!

Steampunk Boutique..

Im sorry Ive been missing for a few weeks, I had my fair which was a great success, and terrific to cathc up with so many of my crafty friends after literally years apart!. Since then, My dad had been very ill. and is still in hospital as we speak, so we’ve been busy visiting and supporting Mum. Posts may be patchy for a while yet, and not too much crafting happening at the moment. I did find a minute to myself to make some cards with Uniquely creative Steampunk Boutique paper collection. I do love a bit of steampunk! For now, though, All stay safe, til next time….

Last of the Seize the day cards..

Back today with some cards made with Uniquely Creative Seize the day papers. These ones are a little more intricate than last weeks ones, with more layering, fussy cutting and bits and pieces added. The top card has some watered down ink sprayed for the background..I do like this effect, I used to do it a lot but somehow got out of the habit. Funny how you move on from things.. Cleaning out my craft room I came across some old border stickers. I used to use them all the time but haven’t done so for years now, but I am coming up with some new ways to use them..stay tuned! Til next time, stay safe..

The first few cards with Seize The day!

These cards were made with A Uniquely Creative collection kit ( which included things like the striped washi tape, Star stacking die, mushroom stamp, and of course the paper collection and matching creative cuts. I made and made with this collection, and only the arrival of another collection stopped me. The fairy on the top card is a spellbinders die, and on the second card i was experimenting with just partially embossing my card. It was easy, and I love the look so I will be doing it again! Things here are returning to normal thank goodness, with my husband out of hospital and recovered and my little dog Luna back to herself playing with her fluffy toy and her mate Daisy and just leaving a huge vet bill behind her but to have her back to her old self is worth it. Who knows maybe this week I will get back to the craft table! Til next time, stay safe…

Mind over Matter..

I’m sorry I have been missing the last few weeks.. It’s been a traumatic time here at home. My little dog Luna got attacked by a much much bigger dog and required three lots of surgery to save her. It’s taken a little while but I am so happy to say she is back to her lively cheeky self. In between all that my husband had a hospital visit, and of course mum and dad are always on my carers list. As happens, life has returned to new normal, and I have managed to do a little crafting and have a build up of papers I haven’t played with yet. Today’s cards are made with Mind over Matter ( by Uniquely Creative) I love this paper , but these are the only cards I have made with it so far as I got distracted by the next lot of papers, which you will see next week and probably the week after next because I couldn’t stop once started. Anyway back to this week…The top card is a book card and I made a box with a clear lid to pop it in. I inked the edges of everything on all these cards and didn’t have to add too many extras ..The paper speaks for itself. The die on the bottom card is an older spellbinders die. Til next time..stay safe….
