IMG_4254 (Medium)While browsing through my files deciding what to post today, I found a couple more oval themed cards. Here they are! The papers are Miss Nelly by Kaisercraft – I have done a few cards with this paper recently because I wanted to use it up to make room for some new purchases. I forgot how pretty it is. anyway, The ovals are embossed using Stampin Up designer frames oval embossing folder and I fussy cut around them, Martha stewart butterfly punch, memory box la Rue flourish, assorted stampin up sentiment stamps, and flowers and ribbons to finish. Shopping tonight, so no crafting for me, til tomorrow….

IMG_4277 (Medium)two cards today, a simple one on the left, and for the one on the right I die cut my label, cut it in half and placed the pieces on the top and bottom of my card. The images are from Kaisercraft Timeless collectables, and the paper is Prima Craftsman.Very hot day here in Adelaide, so won’t be visiting the craft room tonight – a night under the air conditioner is on the cards! Spellbinders labels seventeen number 3

IMG_4281 (Medium)IMG_4282 (Medium)There are two views of todays card, because the is a bit of work on the inside as well as the outside! I covered the front of the card ( all papers used are Kaisercraft Miss Nelly) and used the spellbinders label seventeen to die cut an aperture. The piece that was cut out was stuck inside on top of some more patterned paper, and I added a couple of butterflies die cut from Cheery Lyn exotic butterfly small #2. just added some bright ribbon and bling to finish. This is a simple card to make but looks really effective, and I must remember to make more like this! Wedding Card

IMG_4191 (Medium)This is a wedding card I made for an order. I took the colours from the invitation, which often gives you a hint of the colour theme for the wedding, and always nice to be able to make a card in the same colours as the wedding theme. I used basic black and pink pirouette stampin up cardstock, and die cut two hearts using an x-cuts die, then ran  each heart through embossing folders – cuttlebug divine swirls and swiss dots. I also embossed the bottom panel on the card with stampin up Fancy fans, and die cut a spellbinder Fancy tags two for the sentiment which was a stamp from my stampin up curly cute set.The initials were cut using my cricut machine and storybook cartridge, and I finished it all off with ribbon and perfect pearls.Today I have been paractising my colouring with my new prismacolour pencils, and now I am off to put my coloured images onto some cards. Til tomorrow….

My take on clean and simple!

All of you that visit my blog regularly or attend my cardmaking classes will know that I struggle with Clean and Simple.i say if you have the product lets use it!..but, now and again an idea comes that will only work if it’s clean and simple. such as this card. The colours are so rich and vibrant, and go so well together that not much else is needed. the list of Goodies used – Stampin Up cardstock – gumball green and Midnight muse, ( as well as a scrap of midnight muse ribbon), embossing folders – couture creations Pinstripe, stampin up designer frames folders. stampin up greetings stamp from perfect punches, oval punch, and a scrap of designer paper from stampin up comfort cafe. This afternoon I am packing away the christmas craft items, and sorting out my sadly neglected stack of cardstock and filing it all where it is supposed to live. This should restore some order to my craft room, and I will be back to creating tomorrow. Til tomorrow….

Tim Holtz Car stamp

This is the last of my new stamps, it’s a tim holtz stampers anonymous vintage car, and as with the previous stamps, gives a gloriously clear stamped image.I can’t remember what ink I stamped it with – most annoying because I would like to repeat it,if I stumble across it I will update this post! The background papers are Simple Stories Awesome. I can see a definite light at the end of the christmas card tunnel – 2 more very special xmas cards in boxes, then all the Christmas bits and pieces are going away, and I am ready to play with all my new stuff.I have been so patient!Til tomorrow….

male stamped cards

The stamp on these cards is by Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Collection and it’s called Clockwork. It stamps really well, and it’s got lots of lovely detail. To this I have added watch parts, tim holtz ideology sprockets, bakers twine, spellbinders sprightly sprockets, and a cuttlebug clockworks embossing folder. The card on the left is a little messier deliberately because I stamped splodges on it and distressed it ,just as a “lets see what else we can do”kind of a mission! Had a lovely afternoon today, with my sisters and a small group of friends, trying out an idea to set up a social card making group. We all had a great time, and we will repeat it again at the beginning of the year, and invite a few more ladies.Til tomorrow….

Stamped train Card

I recently bought some male themed cards, and because of the ammount of Christmas cards i have had to make I really haven’t had time to experiment with them, but I did stamp each image to see how they turned out, so over the next couple of days you will see the rough workings! Todays stamp is a huge image – it takes up the whole card! the stamp is Stampers anonymous tim Holtz collection train. It stamps beautifully – lovely and crisp. I lightly coloured this one just with watercolour pencil, and die cut some corners using spellbinders lace doily accents dies. the ticket stamp is by Prima, and I distressed the edges, and added some bakers twine and string for texture.I stamped the image with stazon timber brown.Today is the end of the working week for me, so I am looking forward to 2 days off, and hopefully some time to create! Til tomorrow….
