Go press and Foil card ..the other one..

_MG_9388 (Medium) While I had my Go press and foil machine out I foiled a few extra pieces to have on hand on my desk so you will see bits popping up on other random cards, but this card was all Go Press and Foil. I used the big go press and foil stamp ( its called a stamp but is actually a metal plate) to foil the aqua background and fussy cut out the centre and around the outside. I gold foiled a happy birthday chipboard piece from Dusty Attic, and the little wooden bird by Kaisercraft. The Green foiled foliage is a wooden piece by kaisercraft and I added some gorgeous flowers from Iamroses. Today is a public holiday here and I am making good use of the day off to try and clear my desk, where random projects have been started and left there! Til tomorrow….

Wedding Card…

_MG_6366 (Medium) Todays card is a wedding card which is a little different for me because I relied less on the papers( I just used a little Kaisercraft Romantique..the label for the sentiment and the gold embossed strip across the centre of the card) and I made my own background paper. I used Nuvo Gold glitter paste and brushed it through a kaisercraft stencil. This is so easy to do, and dries really quickly..so quickly that I suggest you wash your stencil straight away! I added some delicate ribbon and some gorgeous flowers from Iamroses. I brushed them with a little of the gold glitter paste. The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp which I gold embossed. I have finally finished preparing my lessons for April, and today I hope to sit in the craft room and make some birthday cards I need for family and friends upcoming birthdays. It is finally cooler here ..not sure for how long but i am going to enjoy it while I can! Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Waterfront stamp set…

_MG_6363 (Medium)Staying with my new Stampin Up purchases I made this card for my dads birthday at the end of this month with Stampin Up Waterfront stamp set. there are endless possibilities with this stamp set, I just have to find the time to sit down and discover them all! For this card though, I did the background with Distress oxide ink pads, ( love the chalky finish) and then stamped with these Stampin Up inks…Tranquil tide, lost lagoon, always artichome and summer starfruit. I used my stamp press to position the stamps exactly where I wanted them to stamp ( how did we mange without one?) I have been busy this morning catching up on chores around the house so that I can spend a little time in the craft room preparing April classes, so that i am a little ahead when i head off on my cruise at the end of this month. Not long now! til tomorrow….

My Minds Eye In Bloom double zig zag…

_MG_4262 (Medium)_MG_4263 (Medium)Today we are back to cards, and these are the final two cards I have made using My Minds Eye In Bloom papers. I made my favourite double zig zag cards and relied solely on the papers with just a couple of ribbon bows and some glitter. I die cut the sentiment with Kaisercraft all occasions die.Today is a public holiday here and i have kept the day free to be able to spend some relaxing time in the craft room. All week we have been opening many boxes of new stock at Paper Flourish and I couldn’t resist…I have quite a few new things to create with ..so without further ado  I am off to the craft room!! Til Tomorrow….

Go Press and foil anna griffin rose

_MG_4261 (Medium)

Todays card is a very simple elegant card made with just a couple of products. The background paper is My Minds Eye In Bloom and I made the rose with my Go Press and foil machine and an Ana Griffin foil stamp, which I then die cut with an oval die. A black lace bow and that is finished! We have a very hot day today, a bit cooler tomorrow though so that will be a craft day for me while I think about some classes for March!

Kaisercraft Romantique…shabby..

_MG_4253 (Medium) I really haven’t had the time to play with this collection, but I have made a few for you to see. It’s the Kaisercraft Romantique collection and it lends itself beautifully to the whole Shabby Chic style, a style I will embrace once I get over the whole ripping my paper hang up I have! Here, I have layered a few of the 12 x 12 patterned papers, and fussy cut an acetate butterfly – in this collection there is a whole sheet of these butterflies and I love them! The leaves are die cut with creative expressions dies, and I inked around every edge with Tea Dye distress ink. I tied a big bow and on top of that I glued a Prima flower with dangly bits that I have been holding onto for ages! The top layer of patterned paper has a lacey print but at the bottom of it I added my own lace in a taupe colour ( Stampin Up lace). I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas break, with family and friends, I can’t believe that’s Christmas over for another year! we still have our son home for another few days before he flys back to Sydney next week so the celebrations continue on here ! Til tomorrow….

Kaiser craft Rose Avenue 9…

IMG_0660 (Medium)I only used a little of the kaisercraft Rose Avenue collection just as the background layer, ( from the 6 x 6 pad) and went over the top with the embellishing! I have some beautiful wide lace which I used here, the strip across the top of the lace is from the bottom of a 12 x 12 sheet of rose avenue paper( the identity strip that runs along the bottom), a ribbon bow, one of my resin frames…I am getting low on them now..must find out where I can get them from….I backed the resin frame with a little piece of a trellis die cut and decorated it with a couple of flowers, a die cut leaf and a butterfly from the rose avenue collectables pack. The greeting is from the 6″ pad backed with a scrap of patterned paper. This weekend is all about wrapping presents and quickly making some gift tags which I always seem to forget! Til tomorrow…..

Nuvo Glimmer Paste!!

_MG_0604 (Medium) A couple of weeks ago we got some new Nuvo Glimmer Paste into the shop, and I couldn’t resist having a bit of a play with it!I used the clear glimmer paste and brushed it through a stencil to create the glittery background on this card. I love Glimmer paste! It is really shiny and glittery, and dries really quickly. I used the gold glimmer paste to paint the chipboard bird, and the background paper on this card is Kaisercraft Rose Avenue. I added flowers, ribbon and lace to finish. I thought I had finished my cruise cards this week but they asked for another class so I have been working on that and today I am off to the craft room to make a couple of birthday cards for upcoming birthdays. Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft mint wishes double z fold cards..

_MG_2623 (Medium)_MG_2625 (Medium)two more double z – fold cards just using a couple of bits of paper from Kaisercraft Mint Wishes collection. The pine cone on the top card pictured is a kaisercraft wooden piece which I foiled in chocolate through the Go Press and foil machine. The Baubles on the second card are fussy cut from a piece of the patterned paper from the collection.I have added a photo under my script to show you what I spent last evening doing! We got in some new Nuvo Products at paper Flourish and I just had to try them out. They are Nuvo glimmer paste and come in a range of colours, but I just picked up the clear and the gold, and so far I have tried it out on wooden pieces, painted on with a paintbrush, dabbed little bits ( mainly to clean my brush off) on flowers, and then I found a stencil, attached it to some cardstock and painted the glimmer paste through the stencil..this technique looks amazing! It dries in about 10 minutes, so no long waiting around for it to dry.IMG_7197

Cute Christmas…

_MG_2633 (Medium) Time for some fun with Christmas cards and this one has a couple of images I have had for years , which I printed onto copic paper and coloured in , and fussy cut out. The background paper and sentiment is from Stampin Up Christmas around the world designer series paper. Tomorrow is my get together of our craft group, and the theme is animals, so this one covers the criteria! I haven’t been well this week, but recovering now, so will go and sit in the craft room for a little while, and finish off my December classes before doing some ” just for me ” crafting and generally taking it easy. Til tomorrow….
