Kaisercraft Butterfly Kisses number 3

IMG_3163 (Medium)All I have used here is a small amount of patterned paper from the kaisercraft butterfly kisses paper pad, and one of the tags from the same pad.It is the layering on this card that adds interest and this is one of my favourite sketch ideas. I rounded the corners on the right hand side of all the layers, and added ribbon and rhinestones to finish. The card base is stampin up cardstock, and the other plain layer is Kaisercard.looking forward to 3 days off and some time spent in the card room this weekend setting up classes for February! til tomorrow….

Sears and Son 5( mens cards)

IMG_8708 (Medium)I made good use of the collectables from the Kaisercraft Sears and Son collection on this card. String around the top for them to hang off, and a couple of Kaisercraft brads to hold the tag. The tag was die cut using a stampin up die, and the sentiment stamp, and cardstock were also stampin up.This is a good sketch for teenage boy cards, and it will be my go -to design for those really difficult cards! Til tomorrow….

Labels seventeen card 1

IMG_4278 (Medium)I am starting a new series today. Over the next few days I will show a variety of cards, with one thing in common – The spellbinder is the same on each card – I challenged myself to come up with a variety of different ways to use spellbinders Labels Seventeen. For this first card I have used it the way most of us use our spellbinder labels – as a mat. The paper is kaisercraft Timeless, and I also used the matching collectables. This collectables pack is great because there is a great mix of images for mens and ladies cards so good value. The weekend has just begun for me, and I am looking forward to spending quality time in the craft room, but also have to write out my xmas cards and get them in the post! Til tomorrow….

Christmas 2012 phrase…

Last one for now, we will revisit christmas after a short break! Here I have again used Stampin Up be of Good Cheer designer paper – did I say how much I like the rich colours of this paper? and matched it with stampin Up Cherry Cobbler, very vanilla and Wild wasabi cardstock. I embellished with kindyglitz, ribbon, bakers twine and my Ek Success border punch – sorry can’t recall the name of that one -.The Noel was die cut with my cuttlebug using a Sizzix basic grey die called Phrases, Noel. Til tomorrow….

Shades of…pink

I like the colour combination on this card.I used a white cardstock base, and matted 3 different shades of pink bazzil onto some Stampin Up Crumbcake ( thats kraft ) cardstock, then stamped a floral image 3 times across the bazzil in white ink. I added some lace, twine, stampin up crumbcake seam binding and a button I found in my button tin to finish this one. Just something different for me, but I really like it, and will try this one again in different colours. Thats it for today, til tomorrow….

The Open Sea fathers day

Found this one while browsing through my files – also found some different ideas, which I will show over the next few days- The paper used here is stampin Up designer paper, for the background, and the panel that I have wrapped the bakers twine around is kaisercraft from the Mismatched range. The Boat is a stamp from Stampin Up – The open sea set,and I stamped it in Choc chip ink, and then used an oval spellbinder to cut the shape out. Quick post tonight, as it’s shopping night – no crafting tonight! Til tomorrow….

Prima songbird number 8

I hope you are all still enjoying this series, only a couple more to go!Of course the paper is still prima songbird, and for this one I just did lots of layers, using the 12 x 12 papers, white cardstock, and stampin up early espresso cardstock. I added a prima flower, seam binding, and some bling to finish. Short post today, as I am still not well, and am heading off back to bed.Til tomorrow….

Love….

I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection, and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)  add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Tigerlily number 3

Here is the final card in my Kaisercraft Tigerlily series – I went to town on the whole orange/pink colour scheme on this one! The cardstock is stampin Up Pumpkin Pie, and i found this stretchy ruffled ribbon at spotlight. Quick post today as dinner is burning! Til tomorrow….

Amy Tangerine sketchbook 3

Firstly tonight I want to say thank you for the lovely comments from 2 of my followers -Margaret and Shirley. I always love to read your comments, and to know that someone is reading my ramblings! A very easy card tonight – this one made itself. I loved the image in the corner in one of the 12 x 12 sheets so cut it out and built the  card around it. I just added ribbon and a bit of bling. the cardstock was from stampin Up as was the sentiment. Well my foray into the craftf market is over for now – I had a lovely 3 days meeting lots of interesting people, but now is the clean up – my craft room is a disaster are so tomorrow will be spent trying to restore order to it! Til tomorrow….
