here is a card made with paper of an unknown origin, it was in my scrap box – I am tempted to say it’s crate paper, but it could well be Stampin Up – maybe someone could help me with that…anyway, I used a spellbinders border die to cut the zig zag, and Stampin Up blossom party die, just using one of the flower heads for the flowers. Decorated with some stampin up buttons, and martha stewart butterfly punch, and the sentiment is from a stampin up set. This is a really simple design for a quick card, and I love it’s simplicity, not to mention the colours – I will be trying this one again! I have been organising myself for my lesson over at the village tonight, and I have also spent a little time planning all my January lessons – I am getting ahead of myself! Til tomorrow….

Something completely different….

Every now and again an idea is too big for a card, and so it was with this one, so i moved it onto canvas.I painted the canvas with acrylic paint, added some stamping in black stazon, and then started decorating! The flourish is a cheery lyn die – tropical flourish, bird and cage is sizzix tim holt caged bird, and the flowers up the top are die cut with sizzix stampin up Blossom party die, and down the bottom stamped using stampin up vintage vogue stamps and then fussy cut and assembled.I attached a small canvas onto the bigger canvas, and the bling at the bottom of the cage is Magnolia chandelier garland. The small ammount of paper I used is Prima Meadow lark.I am still amongst xmas cards, but see light at the end of the tunnel, and hope tomorrow to move on! Prima Zephyr number 4
I wasn’t paying attention but I think this is the last in my Prima Zephyr collection ( until I find the rest of the paper!), and on this card I teamed the paper with the journalling notecards and chipboard pieces.I also used my memory box La Rue flourish die, and stampin up cardstock, ribbon , sentiment stamp and blossom party die. Quick post tonight as it’s grocery shopping night – Til tomorrow….
Prima Zephyr number 2
Here is the second in my Prima Zephyr patterned paper series – not sure if there will be any more when I have finished showing the ones in this file as I have searched the cratf room ( Twice!) for this paper, and I can’t find it – time for a big spring clean I think!. Anyway – also used here are the matching chipboard pieces and the journalling notecards ( fantastic for this sized card) and I added a flower die cut from the same paper using the Stampin Up Party blossoms die, a La Rue Flourish die ( memory box) some Kaisercraft rhinestones, and a butterfly punched with my martha stewart punch. Tonight it’s all about Baby boy cards – I have none left in my boxes, so I will spend a lovely evening in the craft room playing with everything blue!
Summer smooches number 2
Very quick post tonight as it’s shopping night! The paper here is Stampin Up summer Smooches, and I also used the matching summer smooches fabric to die cut the flowers with my stampin up party blossoms die. The fabric was also used for the flower stems. I cut a tag and used stampin Up petite pairs stamp for the tag.Til tomorrow….
Love….
I chose this card to show tonight, because I think it shows a nice layout ( sketch) idea that you could adapt for any card. I have started with a base card of stampin Up early espresso cardstock, and the papers I have used are kaisercraft The Lake House ( this is card number 12 for those of you counting!)The first layer was cut only a little smaller than the base card, and I used a circle punch to chomp out the corners. The next layer was quite a bit smaller, and again I chomped the corners.I used a pre printed panel from one of the 12 x 12 sheets in the collection, and stuck a collectable across it, but you could achieve the same look by using your dies and cuttlebug. All that remained was to die cut some flowers ( I used Stampin Up blossom Party and sizzix tim holtz tattered flower garland)Â add a grey satin bow, and a bit of perfect pearls.I am still thawing out from my day at the market, and as it was a very early start ,it will be early to bed for me tonight! Til tomorrow….
The Lake House number 7
here is the last of my Kaisercraft The Lake House collection. I used the 6″ pad, a pice of the 12 x 12 paper ( this is a great sheet, full of labels) and a couple of the collectables from the matching collection. The cardstock is stampin Up early Espresso, and I die cut the flowers using my cuttlebug and Stampin Up blossom party die and tim Holtz sizzix tattered florals garland die. I only had to add a ribbon bow and liquid pearls and it was finished! Tonight I am making a start on Fathers day cards – I have some ideas so should have a good crafty session tonight! Til tomorrow…
Apothecary Art number 3
Here is number 3 in my Stampin Up Apothecary art stamp set series. I have used my Stampin Up blossom party die to make the flowers, and die cut the leaves with my Meadow leaf memory box die. Also used on this card are – Stampin Up twitterpated designer paper, Drifting Endless embossing folder by Couture creations, a Martha stewart punch, and My Minds Eye brads. The stamped image was die cut with Stampin Up Labels collection . The Stampin Up cardstock is Basic grey and Blushing Bride. Tonight i intend to spend a little time in the card room coming up with some new designs – I have finally prepared all my lessons for the next couple of months, so now to fill the market boxes! Til tomorrow….
Quick and easy Cuttlebug card
This is a quick and easy card, made using a variety of dies through my cuttlebug . I love these colours together, but I think the design would also work with yellows and oranges for a brighter card – I will try it…. The cardstock I have used is Stampin Up wisteria Wonder, and bazill card for the rest. The paper is Melissa Francis, and the dies I used – Stampin Up blossom Party , Memory box – meadow leaf and La Rue flourish. The flower is held together with a Kaisercraft brad.I have had very early starts at work this week, so not too much crafting in the evenings as I am tired and looking forward to the end of next week when I start a months holidays..but I will create a card or two tonight. Til tomorrow….
Follow Your Heart – Be Happy..
The paper of choice today is My Minds Eye – Follow Your Heart – Be happy. This is a bigger card than I normally make, and I made it at the request of my husband so that he could take it in to work to thank everyone for there best wishes when he was sick recently. I have layered 2 layers of papers on to the cardstock, which is stampin Up baja brezze. The flowers are diecut with my cuttlebug using Stampin up Blossom Party die, and I also used a memory box die – La Rue Flourish. I added lace, bling flourishes, and My minds Eye brads, and the sentiment was stamped with a stamp from the stampin Up perfectly penned set.I like the subtle colours on this card, but I don’t know if it’s the dull rainy dreary weather we have had this week, but I am seriously in need of bright, colourful patterns and colours so I am going to go through all my papers ( may take a little while…) and create bright things this week end!
