A quick post before I leave for work this morning.. Graphic 45 By the sea paper collection with lots of fussy cutting and layering. The cardstock is stamping up, and that’s all the products I used on this one. Love this range but haven’t had the time to really create with it yet, too busy with christmas cards! til tomorrow…..

Another stamped and watercoloured….
This one isn’t as dark in real life – the blue of the card and die cut oval ( spellbinders floral oval) is a denim blue… not sure what happened there nathan the photographer must have been having a bad day! Again the stamped image is from a freebie stamp set on the front of a magazine, and I watercoloured it with Tim holtz distrss markers and an aqua brush.leaves are punched with a martha stewart punch and the flowers are mini flowers by Kaisercraft. The patterned paper of the background is forget-me-not by kaisercraft.this weekend has been spent finishing off my October lessons, and making some vintage christmas cards.I start my new department and new hours this week at work, so will have to see when I fit my blog posts in – it might be easier to do them in the mornings before work now, so we shall see what works. til tomorow…..
Stamping and watercolouring with tim holtz markers
i have been on a mission to make some little girl cards, and I found this stamp stashed away – it came off the front of a magazine, but its very good quality, and I thought it was quite cute! I coloured her with tim holtz distress markers and an aqua brush ( not confident enough to use a paint brush), and the rest of the products – spellbinders timeless rectangle die, kaisercraft paper and mini flowers, martha stewart leaf punch, and stampin up cardstock and ribbon. For those of you intersted , I have done a you-tube video testing out the new spellbinder tool for Paper Flourish ( yes I get to play with new products and let you all know what I think – best job ever!!)You can see it by going to http://www.paperflourish.com.au and clicking on the blog button! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Pitter patter number 5
This is the last baby card I made with Kaisercrafft Pitter Patter paper and matching collectables, although I do have some birthday cards which I will put up all as a group tomorrow. The cardstock, button, ribbon and twine are all stampin up ojn this one – colour is Pool party.Glad to say my blog is back to normal – wordpress must have had a few complaints and have let us choose old or new so of course I opted for old! I had a tiny class this morning, so sat and joined in the cardmaking – so now I have done my october classes! feels good to be so far ahead! Til tomorrow…..
christmas cards using last years papers!

Here are some example of cards that I made with the leftover collectables from assorted kaisercraft collections from last year.I will show a few more tomorrow, and then we will leave christmas until the new collections start coming out although with so much still leftover I really have no excuse to buy them this year! The bauble cards are a favourite of mine. I haven’t spent a lot of time in the craft room this weekend, I have been busy doing some family research and have found it is very addictive! we had another power cut today so all card making plans went out of the window as I like a good light when I am creating.Til tomorrow…..
more christmas cards using last years bits and pieces
Christmas cards using last years leftover papers number 5
Tonight we are looking at using scraps that are a little bigger than the ones we have previously been using. Choose pieces that when used together will cover the whole of your card front, lay them out and match them up in a way that they look good together, stick them on your card front and cover the join with a border – either from the paper pad as I have or punch one or die cut one out. If all else fails use ribbon!layer up some die cuts from the paper pad and collectables add a ribbon bow and thats a few more scraps put to good use! Til tomorrow….
christmas cards using last years scraps number 4
Here is another idea to use up those little strips of patterned papers. I have cut some banners and grouped them together with a decorative brad, but you could string them across the top of the card for another look. a message die cut and ribbon was all that was needed to finish! tomorrow we will look at scraps that are a little bit bigger! til tomorrow….
Christmas cards using last years scraps part 3
Tonights idea combines the previous two posts using strips and squares , with lots of layering and use of foam squares to give different heights on the the card. A ribbon bow , button threaded with linen thread and the red rhinestones add visual interest and cunningly form a triangle which draws the eye around the card!Til tomorrow….
Christmas cards using last years leftovers…
I gathered all my Kaisercraft christmas papers from christmas’s past.. ( these included Turtle dove, december 25th,Dear Santa, Tis the Season and twig and Berry) and combined them all. Every one who knows me will tell you this was very hard for me as I always keep my collections separate, and never mix and match!I still won’t mix paper companies. It was not too bad, as most of the collections had very similar colours. Anyway, once that was done I went through the paper pads, and fussy cut, and took out border and labels die cuts that I hadn’t used previously and put these in a separate pile. Next I combined all the collectables into one container, and after all that it was very hard to tell the different collections anyway.First I worked on the wider strips that are left behind when I had covered the original cards and the two cards above are the result of that. I added a collectable to both, some words fussy cut from a nother piece of paper, and some craftworks candii in the top corner of the card on the right.More strip makes tomorrow…. Til tomorrow….
