Graphic 45 Le Amour number 9

IMG_7771 (Medium)Todays card with graphic 45 Le Amour is so simple..just a piece of patterned paper a little smaller than my card base, with some lace and ribbon wrapped around it,a ribbon bow and an image cut from one of the other papers in the collection.I think this one would make a good mothers day card!.It has been a lovely weekend here in Adelaide, the weather is mild with just the right amount of sun and the nights have been cool enough to dig out the quilt so good for sleeping! Just what I like! Til tomorrow….

Graphic 45 Le Amour 7 and 8

IMG_7768 (Medium)IMG_7769 (Medium)Two more cards made with graphic 45 Le Amour papers, from the range of 12 x 12 papers. the top card is highlighted with 2 die cut feathers – the left one is a kaisercraft die, while the one on the right is a freebie from a card making magazine. Some sequins, ribbon bow and silver thread to finish. For the bottom card I only covered 1/2 the card with paper, and left some just the bare cardstock ( something I rarely do), and used a martha stewart edge punch in black cardstock and a piece of pink ribbon to separate the two parts. I layered the rose image a few times, and added a bow to complete this one.I had a pleasant start to my week off by going to the pictures with Mum.I had a couple of free tickets, and we saw Lady in a Van. A nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!Til tomorrow….

Echo Park Little man 5 and 6…

IMG_7756 (Medium)Here are my last two creations with Eco Park Little man papers. I only bought a few sheets of this range, but made a nice amount of cards from it, only using the papers and some googly eyes for embellishment. All the cardstock matting is stampin up card, and the stamp set used here for the sentiment is stampin up itty bitty banners.i love papers like this where you can make a whole card for minimum use of products! We have a long weekend here this weekend, with a public holiday on monday,so I am sure I will fit in some time in the craft room, the weather although still humid is cooler too, so all is looking up!Ti tomorrow….

Echo park Little man

IMG_7751 (Medium)IMG_7752 (Medium)Every now and again I buy just a couple of sheets of paper from a range, and this one from Echo Park called little man was one of those times. I love doing cards like this because they are quick, easy, and need no other embellishment other than the paper. I used cardstock from Stampin Up, added googly eyes, and just did some layering. Stopped by paper flourish on my way home from work, and picked up the new graphic 45 papers, so looking forward to sitting down tonight and having a good look at them! til tomorrow…..

Two more stampin up Botanical blooms

IMG_7735 (Medium)IMG_7736 (Medium)Here are another two pinterest inspired stampin up botanical blooms cards. These creations in their original form can be found on my stampin up pinterest board. On both cards the dies , papers, and stamps are from stampin up, from their botanical blooms range. The bakers twine on the bottom card is also stampin up, the hessian strip on the bottom card is by Green Tara, and I added black ribbon to the top card – speaking of which after the photo was taken I fixed the excess amount of glue on the sequins – a big clue as to when I made these ones – on a very hot day when the glue ran very freely! After making these three card and getting a feel for the set I went out on my own and came up with some of my own designs which are waiting to be photoed, so we will see them at a later date! The tip I have for these die cut flowers is to sponge ink in the centre to give them shading ( it makes a huge difference) and to shape the petals before sticking to the card.Today is a village lesson, so I am off now to pack my box of supplies and remind myseld of what we are actually doing! Til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Botanical Blooms

IMG_7734 (Medium)Todays card was inspired by a design I saw on Pinterest.I have just purchased this die and matching stamp set, and already it is a favourite, and the village ladies are going to be making a card with the set this Saturday. I die cut lots of buits from scrap cardstock, and stamped the veins on the leaves with matching inks.I used rhinestones in the centres of these flowers, but i have since used perfect pearls and sequins on more recent makes. The sentiment stamp ( stampin Up) is stamping in white ink.and the backgound base card is black . The photo here doesnt do the card justice – its come out a bit light – in real life it is really bright and vibrant!day off today, shopping done, hair cut done and all classes up to date so I am off to the craft room to work on some cards I need for personal use! Til tomorrow….

Last months village lesson part 2..

IMG_7713 (Medium)IMG_7715 (Medium)As promised, here are the other two cards the ladies made last lesson over at the village. The focus was on die cutting, and the dies we used were Kaisercraft dies. For the top card the daisy die was cut twice – once on green cardstock and once on patterned paper, then we cut the flowers from the patterned paper and stuck them on the green cardstock.A doily die was used for under the flower. I always try and sneak in a male themed card, which is the bottom card.Again kaisercraft dies, and a stampin up boat stamp underneath, die cut in a circle once stamped to sit behind the ship wheel die.A silver brad in the centre of the ship wheel. That’s another month gone, March already and officially the start of autumn – ( here anyway – our northern hemisphere neighbours are welcoming spring) and I am looking forward to cooler weather. It’s been a very long summer this year.Til tomorrow….

last months village lesson card

IMG_7712 (Medium)Today as I am finishing off the preparation for next weeks village lesson, I thought I would show you what the ladies made last lesson. This one is the first, and tomorrow I will post the other two cards. The pretty white background paper is a specialty paper, already embossed, and with a lovely shine to it, and the dies ( for the leaves and the border were from kaisercraft. the bird is my trusty stampin up bird punch, and the sentiment is Stampin up Curly cute stamp.Just a bit of ribbon to finish.Roast in the oven for lunch, housework done and now before I sort out the vegatables for steaming I must pop out and wash my car which is lost under a layer of red dust! Til tomorrow….

Stampin up designer paper..

IMG_7604 (Medium)IMG_7605 (Medium)In my quest to use up old papers I found two 1/2 sheets of this old Stampin up designer paper, and made these cards from them – I used every square inch of what was the equivalent of a whole sheet so great value here! The top two cards are quite straight forward with flowers fussy cut from the paper, sequins, gold twine and frilled ribbon – all products of stampin up. The bottom card in a box also has die cut butterflies( spellbinders)die cut in glitter card, and berry vine (kaisercraft) die cut in gold card. All the card stock used is also stampin up. Today will be a bit of a crafty day as I have a big card order to fulfill, and have one more card to come up with for the village lesson next weekend so a lovely day for me! til tomorrow…..

something completely different…

IMG_7607 (Medium)IMG_7608 (Medium)Todays cards are different to the cards I usually make.usally I rely on the paper to dictate my imagings, but today’s cards rely heavily on some little mini dolls that I picked up from a discount store called cheap as chips. There were four in the pack and the only cost a couple of dollars. Once home i matched up each doll with scraps of paper and some stampin up cardstock to create them. The happy birthday is a kaisercraft die.I had great fun creating these ones! This morning i did a quick run to the papercraft shop to collect my bits and pieces for Aprils lessons, and now I am off into the craft room to put the lessons together! til tomorrow….
