A bit of stamping…

IMG_8562 (Medium)IMG_8564 (Medium)For a bit of a change, today i am posting a couple of stamped cards, using some recent purchases from Stampin Up. Top card…Stampin Up background papers, and a great new stamp set called Butterfly Basics – lots of different stamps in this set , some great for background work, which I stamped in yellow, stamped the butterfly in pink and punched it out with a matching butterfly punch ( which I have had for a while)and coloured the flower with prismacolour pencils.Bit of lace, ribbon and bling finished that one. The second card… I used  a big background stamp from stampin up called Something lacy, stamped some green fronds from Butterfly Basics, and again coloured the flower with prismacolour pencils.stamped and fussy cut the butterfly, added some buttons to the top corner, lace and a border punched with my Martha stewart lace border punch.Must find some time to play a bit more with this set – its so versatile! no crafting so far today, but I will spend an hour or two in the craft room tonight after tea just to wind down after a really busy week! til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Gifts of Kindness stamp set

IMG_3699 (Medium)A very simple stamped card tonight, using stampin up gifts of kinness stamp set, and prima chalk inks.I stamped the image straight onto white cardstock, and stamped again on some scrap white, and fussy cut a couple of the flowers to 3d onto the first image.I embossed just the lower third of the card with cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The trim I used was stampin up pleated ribbon, and I added some pearls to the middle of the stamped flowers.Til tomorrow….

Zoo Babies number 2

IMG_5864 (Medium)Stampin Up zoo babies stamp set, certainly celery cardstock, and choc chip and so saffron ink pads. The embossing folder is by cuttlebug, and the scalloped rectangles are spellbinders. Another very very hot day today, so I am not getting very far with my order! It appears that it is going to be a little cooler tomorrow so hopefully I will get it finished then, but a trip up to paper flourish is also on the agenda to have a look at the new kaisercraft papers, and maybe buy some! Til tomorrow..

Kazzazz train stamp

IMG_5859 (Medium)keeping with the male themed stamped cards, tonights cards use a stamp I purchased from Kazzazz.I used stampin up cardstock – cherry cobbler, crumbcake and not quite navy, and the little bit of patterned paper is Prima Craftsman. The card on the right makes use of the negative cardstock left over after I had die cut the labels on the left card. ( dies are from stampin up – sizzix decorative labels.) I just had to add a little bakers twine and prima trim to finish these ones! til tomorrow….

IMG_3178 (Medium)i say for now because I have been busy stamping this week, and we will get the camera out this weekend and take some photos!. countryside Number 1

IMG_7226 (Medium)helloo, and I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas. For my next few posts I am going to show some cards I have made using a new stamp set from Stampin Up called Countyside. It is my favourite stamp set for men and every time I get it out I think of more new ways of using it!For todays card I have stamped and coloured the truck image with prisma colour pencils ( I am still practising with these, but they are going to be a favourite way of colouring once I get the hang of them), and have stamped a couple of stamps from other sets on the sides of my card in black, then coloured the whole card with distress inks. The dies used in the foreground are Grassland border by Poppiestamps, and spellbindedrs wrought iron .The cardstock is Stampin Up old olive.I ahve been out of the craft room for the past few days, but will pop in there tonight to start working on Februarys class cards. Til tomorrow….

Nature walk card

I enjoy doing these collage type cards, and I usually use a mix of brand names when I am making them. this card is no exception. The bird is stamped using a stamp from Oxford impressions nature set, the cardstock, patterned paper, seam binding, and Nature walk stamps are all from Stampin Up, The brass leaf is by Tim Holtz, and I also used a Martha Stewart punch, and a feather and some twine.Late post tonight, and still have things to do around here, so no crafting  tonight, Til tomorrow….
