Stampin Up lovely Lattice..Watercolouring with re- inkers..

_MG_0104 (Medium)_MG_0107 (Medium)Today’s two cards focus on a stamp from Stampin Up called Lovely lattice. The top card has an embossed layer – the same Stampin up embossing folder as the card on the previous post ( Lace Dynamic Embossing folder) and I stamped the Lovely Lattice stamp on watercolour paper and coloured it with an aquabrush and re-inkers. For the lower card I stamped onto watercolour paper with versamark ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Again I coloured with an aquabrush and re-inkers, also painting a very light wash over the background. If you want to know more about watercolouring with re-inkers check out my little clip on my you-tube channel – the link is over there on the right hand side of the page! I have been a bit time poor over the last couple of years, but I am retiring at the end of this week so will have more time to focus on my blog, and you-tube channel – exciting times!! til tomorrow…

Stampin Up High Tide

_MG_4639 (Medium)The first male themed card in my very short mens card series is this one, made using the Stampin Up Stamp set called High Tide. There are a lot of stamps in this set, and you can mix and match to make sceneries such as the one I did here. I stamped the sand first, then the lighthouse ( a darker shade of ink pad for the lighthouse), then the sea,( two shades of ink pad here too), the wisps of grass, wading birds, and gulls to finish. The cardstock was the same stampin up shades as the various inks. I look forward to making more scenes with this stamp set. Yesterday was card order day, and I had a lot of floral cards to make so I got out my scrap cardstock, and various flower and foliage dies and spent a couple of hours just die cutting. Once that was done the cards came together very quickly and I have a lot of die cut flowers left,so this week in between work I will make up some more to have ready for the next order!Til tomorrow….

motorbike card

IMG_5345 (Medium)Still on the male card theme, tonight I have used a stamp that I bought from Stampin Up along with some Stampin Up designer paper. The style is the same for both cards, I just mixed it up with the papers ans did a lot of matting! Stamps like these are very handy for those hard to do mens cards!Tonight I have moved my crafting to the dining room table – more room! and I have taken the heater with me so I am all set for a marathon crafting session. Til tomorrow….

Rue Des Fleurs number 1

Stampin Up have a great mini catalogue running just now, and I have bought lots of new stuff from it  and this stamp set and paper are two of my purchases. The stamp set is called Rue Des Fleurs and I love it so over the next few days you will see what I have created with it so far… The paper is also stampin Up – attic boutique. The fancy trim behind the main element is a stamp from the set – its quite neat because the design of the stamp allows the image to be interlocked to make a long border strip and I stamped it in choc chip ink. I stamped the main image with choc chip as well, and I die cut a label using spellbinders label 14. The flourishes are from a die-namics die – fancy flourish. The cardstock is Stampin Up – early espresso and so saffron. I also inked around my label eges in so saffron. In fact looking more closely I think I inked around everything….A busy day today, organising my market boxes to see what cards I am short of – still have a few to make for that….. and as I am off to Canberra with my sister next week for a great girly holiday scrapping and cardmaking and hopefully learning lots of new techniques that I can translate into lessons and cards I thought I would schedule my posts for that time ahead so that my blog will still be posting even if I am not here. Anyway I am so excited cos I actually worked it out myself without any help from my techie son Nathan! This evening – more cards! Til tomorrow….
