A few boys cards this week. It’s very rare to find paper suitable for boys and teens, so I was glad to see this range from Echo park – That’s my boy. Here I have just layered, and mixed in some stampin up cardstock for a pop of colour. Not too fussy – I had to keep in mind the recipient! Teen boys card
Here is a teen boys card I made using a scrap of paper from Kaisercraft Attitude 6″ paper pad, a tim holtz sizzix embossing folder – Bricked, and a mix of stamps from Bitty grunge set by stampers anonymous.I distressed and inked all the edges and added a sentiment to the top with brads. It tickled my fancy that the shape of the paper piece I used for the greeting looks a little like those old fashioned street signs! I’m off into the craft room and looking forward to unwinding in there! Til tomorrow…..

Mens card ideas
I got a little distracted but we are back to my mens card series using Simple Stories Awesome paper. On both of the cards i used a Docrafts papermania stamp – happy Birthday, stamping it onto a few different pieces of paper and then cutting out the letters and reassembling it. I also used my spellbinders dies – Stars five and lacey Pennant for the banners and stars..Great paper for mens cards.Today nathan filmed me colouring my stamped images for a youtube video which will be up here tomorrow for those of you who have asked how I colour my stamped images.otherwise today I have been working on a secret project for my sisters upcoming BIG birthday. I have had this idea in my head for a while but found this week I couldn’t settle to anything so knew I had to sit down today and create it – it’s nearly finished I just have to find where I stored my hot glue gun….. Teen Boy cards
I think out of all the cards I am asked to make teen boy cards are the hardest, so over the next few days I will show some deigns I have been working on which should covers all the bases! Of course if they are into sport it’s not so hard, but nowadays there doesn’t seem so much sports played, sad really…. anyway … I am sure you have seen me use this stamp before – it’s from a great papermania (Nostalgia) set which also has a lot of sports images on it, and I have teamed it with a guitar stamp and drum set stamp that I have had for so long I can’t remember the brand name but Snag em rings a bell. The paper I have used is from a great 6″ pad called Year – o- graphy by Simple Stories, the patterns are great for these designs. I have cut assorted banners, and used bakers twine and brads for texture. The cardstock is Stampin Up Soft Suede and cajun craze – a colour I don’t use nearly enough. One last push tonight on the orders that keep coming through, and then back to lesson planning…. Til tomorrow….
