I made a card with not a bit of patterned paper which is very rare for me! I die cut a large rectangle out of the front of my card, and most of the decorating happened on the card i stuck inside the card. I die cut a tree, and punched a few extra branches in a different colour ( which I also added to the ground around the bench). The bench is a stampin up stamp which I heat embossed in gold. I added a cute little ladybug to the bench. and die cut the Thinking of you words. Well the man is still up on the roof stomping about up there, he has had to stop and start as the rain has been affecting his working but we never complain about rain so he just works around it! I have a late start for work today, but i must go and get organised…til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Cottage Rose 5 and 6…
The cards today are still in my Kaisercraft cottage rose series, this time a thinking of you card, and a birthday card.I kept the thinking of you card very simple, with just a punched butterfly and ribbon bow. the papers on both cards are from the 6″ pad in the collection, and the sentiments are also from the pad.For the birthday card I added some lace and ribbon,liquid pearls and another punched butterfly using my Tim holtz butterfly punch. I have done a marathon grocery shop today, I am working full time hours next week for stocktake, so I am planning to cook a lot of meals on the weekend to save some time during the week! In the meantime, if I miss a couple of posts next week you will all know why! til tomorrow…
Thinking of you, kaisercraft My Cherie 10..
Another Thinking of you card using kaisercraft My Cherie paper collection. the background paper is from the 6″ pad, and the sentiment and butterfly are cut from 12 x 12 papers from the same collection, with a few flowers added.I rounded the right hand corners to fit in with the curved lines of the sentiment. Tomorrow i have a couple of thank you cards from the same collection, and then we will move on to some Mothers day cards as that is just around the corner.We have a lovely lovely weekend here weather wise,and I have spent some lovely hours just sitting in the back yard in the sun, a lazy weekend! Kaisercract Ma Cherie 8 and 9…
A change of pace today with a couple of thinking of you cards made with kaisercraft ma Cherie paper collection. I fussy cut the flower sprays from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, and the lovely embossed paper on the background id from the 6 ” pad, as is the greeting and butterfly.very similar cards – subtle differences – the background papers are two different papers, and the cardstock used are two different shades of grey. This morning I was digging through my graphic 45 paper looking for special papers to use for a village lesson,and I need a lot of the same paper as my ladies want to learn how to make a bendy card and graphic 45 is the only paper I have in large quantities – mainly because once home with it I find it very difficult to cut into – I love it that much!Going through it all Ideas were springing from everywhere – I will never have enough time to make everything I want to, but at least I have realised the time has come to use this paper!So any spare time this weekend will be spent with Graphic 45!Til tomorrow….
Sympathy card ideas
What a mixed bag of cards I have posted the last week or so! Today it’s sympathy cards.I always keep sympathy cards very simple, and these are no exception. I have used white card bases, and stamped my image on white card as well, coloured with copic markers and stuck on the card, and used border stickers around the outline.The stamp set is one I have had for a few years from Stampin Up called Eastern Influences.Today i have finally started my christmas cards, eased in slowly with some simple ones using dies,. Tomorrow Nathan and I will have a photo session and I will be able to start posting my most recent makes. til tomorrow….
kaisercraft secret garden 9 and 10
Kaisercrat secret garden. The top card has a piece 0f the 6″ pad as the background, and a piece from one of the 12 x 12 card fronts trimmed down. I used a kaisercraft mannequin die and hand cut a dress from a piece of the 6″ pad.Added a collectable and some sequins to finish this one. For the bottom card – so simple – a piece of the 6″ pad and a collectable is all this one needed!punched butterfly, and sentiment and done. Freezing day here today, far too cold in the craft room, so after a visit to Mum and dad’s this afternoon, it will be tea in front of the heater and Tv! til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose number 4
There’s that bird again – isn’t he gorgeous? The paper is a piece of the 12 x 12 paper from Kaisercraft Porcelain Rose, and the tag is from the matching collectables pack. I stamped the sentiment with a stampin up stamp and added a blue flower ( kaisercraft) and kindyglitz to finish. I have had a very productive day in the craft room today, just sitting and experimenting with some stamps, and mucking about with different colour combinations – very satisfying. My holidays have flown by and I can’t believe it’s back to work next Tuesday for me! For now though, I must go and pack my class bag as I’m teaching tomorrow – so looking forward to seeing my ladies!
