IMG_5753 (Medium)IMG_5754 (Medium)IMG_5755 (Medium)Three more cards today made with Prima Tea Thyme paper collection, and matching stickers and chipboard. On all these cards I have also used bling, lace, ribbon, and flowers, or a mixture of these embellishments. One more post with this paper and then we will move onto something else. A busy weekend with not much crafting, although I did get my classes for April done. This week I have my new kitchen being installed, so its been a busy time getting ready for that, and I had a primary school class reunion yesterday, so lots of time spent catching up with old friends I hadn’t seen for over 40 years! Hopefully next weekend will be a little quieter! Til tomorrow….

Prima Tea thyme 12 and 13

IMG_5751 (Medium)IMG_5752 (Medium)early post today as I may not get back on here today… very busy…..Prima tea Thyme collection – the top card also uses the matching stickers, and some pearls, ribbon and lace. the bottom card uses all that, plus some chipboard which I stamped on with staz-on ink and a stampin up sentiment stamp.Staz on ink is the best for these shiny chipboard pieces because it doesnt smudge.Til tomorrow…..

Prima Tea Thyme number 10 and 11

IMG_5749 (Medium)IMG_5750 (Medium)So, the very first collection of papers I took out to sort through was Prima tea Thyme. I didn’t get very far in the sorting out, but got streets ahead in the card making, and none of this paper made it into the discard pile! The top card had so much embellishing including…ribbon, lace, punched butterflies, rhinestones, kindyglitz, letter stickers, chipboard, and a flower. The bottom card escaped most of my over the top embellishing and just had a journalling card from the same collection, punched butterflies, ribbon ,lace and rhinestones.A few more to show in this collections but we will do them over the next day or two in groups of two or three. this morning I taught a class over at Paper Flourish, and as usual enjoyed my time spent with my ladies, who are much more like friends than students! Til tomorrow….

Simple Stories the story of us number 1 and 2

IMG_5758 (Medium)IMG_5759 (Medium)I bought just a few sheets of this collection – Simple stories the story of Us ( I think it’s really meant to be used for scrapbooking pages but I saw lots of card making potential) and made so many cards just in one sitting, that I am going to put them up two at a time otherwise we will be going for quite some time !the top card has quite a bit of product, starting with sequins to match the sequin patterned background, doily, die cut hearts, ribbon, kaisercraft mini flowers, martha stewart leaf punch, liquid pearls and a stampin up sentiment. At the other end of the scale the second card only has a few sequins and a couple of leaf punches. The rest of this one was fussy cut bits from the papers.Throughout the range of Cards that you will see I have used metallic cardstock in gold and / or silver for the matting. This afternoon I have been in the craft room planning April classes – I know I am really getting ahead of myself, but I had some new kaisercraft paper – it was released this month – Betsys couture – and I really wanted to use it for a class and April will be the first opportunity to do so. I love this paper, and can’t wait to start creating my own cards with this range! Til tomorrow…

The last fabscraps Vintage Christmas

IMG_8569 (Medium)IMG_8570 (Medium)Thank you to everyone who sent me wishes on hearing my Dad wasn’t well. Thankfully he is back to his normal self now, and just resting at home.Cards today are the last few I made with Fabscraps Christmas paper. For these ones I just focused on the paper, and added some chipboard, seam binding, lace buttons and bling.I taught a lovely class of ladies this morning – it was just the tonic I needed after a stressful couple of days, and I am hoping to see the inside of my craft room over the next couple of days because I am so far behind with my Christmas cards, still have about 100 to do, so its going to be a big push to get them all done this year.
