For one of my lessons at paper flourish a little while ago I showed my ladies how to make these quick and easy rectangle aperture cards. The trick is to cut the paper to size, place on the card without gluing down and run the whole card front and paper through the die cutting machine at the same time, that way everything lines up perfectly when you come to stick it all down. I find it is easier to hold die , paper and card in place with a little repositional tape when running through the machine. For my card today i went one step further and slipped some acetate in between the paper and card before sticking everything down. I found this lovely printed Kaisercraft acetate while looking for my plain acetate and thought “perfect”! The second photo is the inside of the card. Some lovely stampin up lace, a collectable and tag , scalloped border from the paper pad…oh…This paper is Kaisercraft true Romance and another old favourite..you can see I am trying to work my way through all my papers…i am off to make another one of these because I really like the way it has turnedout, and may want to keep this one! Kaisercraft Mademoiselle
I found a Kaisercraft Mademoiselle card that I haven’t posted yet..I used 12 x 12 papers for this one, and some fussy cut pieces from more 12 x 12 paper. I used a kaisercraft occassions die to die cut the greeting in gold cardstock, added some gold thread behind, and hand crocheted a doily ( still practising !) and added some bead, and bling , ribbon bow , in the centre. The cardstock base is a piece of stampin up cardstock. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 3 and 4

Here are the other two cards I made with Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 6″ paper pad. I used a kaisercraft die on the top card, with a couple of the pop outs from the back of the pad, and for the bottom card I used a sizzix hats and moustaches die with a couple of wobbly eyes. Today is the start of Christmas cards!! I have spent the morning going through my boxes finding all my dies, embossing folders, and stamps with a christmas theme, but i have been distracted because I can’t find two new kaisercraft dies..I had them recently because I used them on the next group of cards I am showing you, but they have disappeared! I have decided to stop looking and they will show up when I least expect it..That’s the theory anyway! Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe 1 and 2,

Kaisercraft Barber Shoppe today, I only bought the 6″ pad and one 12 x 12 sheet for fussy cutting and had intended these cards for Fathers day cards, but decided I had enough of those, so these ones turned into birthday cards! The top card is lots of fussy cutting and the addition of a Tim Holtz spinner. The bottom card has a strip of hessian and a really old brad from the bottom of my bits drawer. Otherwise everything on this one is from the 6″ pad. A day off today, shopping done and I am off to the craft room . Til tomorrow….
Creating with Kays goodies..
I always enjoy going over to my sister Kays craft room, because she has so much more goodies than I do! ( I know!!), and she often says play with this and see what you come up with. On this particular day it was a Stampin Up die called Detailed Floral thinlet, and these were two of my creations. I used Night of navy and whisper white cardstock, and popped some gold card behind some of the detail on the card on the right, and followed the shape of the die cut on the card on the left for a bit of a border effect, white ribbon, touch of bling and a rose flower to finish off these rather elegant cards! Today I have been over at mums showing Mum and Kay how to watercolour with inks..this was necessary beacause Kay will be accompanying me on my cruise, and I am relying on her to help me teach my classes so she must know what we are doing!Anyway we had great fun,and now I am looking forward to spending an hour or so in the craft room after tea where I have a couple of orders to put together…til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft mademoiselle 2..
I know I mentioned some stamped cards in my previous post, but Nathan did some Photoing, and there was one Kaisercraft mademoiselle card in the group,so I wanted to put it up with yesterdays card, so that we aren’t jumping all over the place! For this card i have used some of the 12 x 12 papers. The frame is from the 12 x 12 card front sheets. There was some words in the centre, but I didn’t want to use them, so I cut the inside of the frame away and backed it instead with some 12 x 12 paper. With this collection there is a specialty sheet covered with lots of lovely images which I sat and fussy cut out one evening, and that’s where the lady came from! All I needed then was a kaisercraft flower, ribbon bow and some pearls to finish. Til tomorrow…
Kaisercraft Mademoiselle..
The Kaisercraft Mademoiselle paper collection is gorgeous, so much so that I have used it for my August class at Paper Flourish! For this card I have used the 6″ paper pad,and a couple of the collectables. The trim is by Prima, and the butterfly is fussy cut from another of the papers in the pad.The secret to this vintage style paper is to ink around all your edges…I have used Tea Dye distress ink.We will continue this collection after Nathan has photoed the cards I have since made up, meanwhile tomorrow we will have a look at some stamped cards I recently worked on. More Ultimate crafts magnolia Lane

The other two cards I made while I had this paper ( ultimate crafts Magnolia Lane0 out on the desk …I love vintage style cards because I get to put lots of lovely ribbon and lace on them, and I certainly did that with these two! The top card has lots of the collectables that I purchased with the paper layered on top of each other, as well as a doily, a flourish die cut, ribbon and some pearls that were laying on my table.Everything was inked with Tea Dye distress ink. The bottom card is more simple, the strip of paper below the blue ribbon was from the bottom of one of the papers – the identity strip that the barcode is on …sometime these strips come in very handy!butterfly and flower image is from the pack of collectables, and I used some gorgeous soft gathered lace to finish.Today is a day off, and it is a wild wet and stormy day day here, perfect for relaxing in the craft room! til tomorrow….
Magnolia Lane collection
I found some lovely vintage paper that I had to have, it’s called Magnolia lane and the paper company is Ultimate Crafts.I have been a bit time poor for crafting lately but I did find a spare 1/2 hour to cut into this gorgeous paper. I also bought the matching collectables, and really the papers don’t need much else. Here is the first one , I made it in a gatefold style and decorated the inside as well as the outside.Inked all my edges with tea dye distress ink and the cardstock is from Stampin Up.My Body is protesting at being back at work, my muscles are a wee bit sore, so I am off to fill the hot water bottle and treat my back to some heat! Prima tales of you and me number 8
Here is the last in the series of Prima tales of you and me, purely vintage, with a kaisercraft dress form die used, and a chipboard butterfly from the prima paper collection, as well as an assortment of flowers, and some gold twine. the sentiment is a spellbinders die. I have been missing for a few days, I had a stall at the local craft fair, and i really enjoyed myself. I had some wonderful helpers, and caught up with lots of crafty friends, sold lots of cards, and today is all about restoring order in the craft room ready to start all over again for next year! I have missed blogging and will be glad to return to normal. oh, today nathan and I also plan to make a you tube video for the card in a box cards – many people have asked how I make them, so hopefully there will be a clip up by the end of the week! til tomorow….
