Kaisercraft Ladylike 2, 3, and 4..

_MG_1095 (Medium)_MG_1096 (Medium)_MG_1097 (Medium)Todays cards are made with kaisercraft ladylike 6″ pad, and matching collectables. I only bought one of the 12 x 12 sheets..the one with all the roses on it.. a fussy cutters dream paper! I have added lots of lovely lace, flowers and die cut branches and leaves. I love the colours of this paper, and have just made and made with it. I will be missing for a week or two, as my cruise leaves on Monday. I have already packed my cruise class suitcase and I am looking forward to meeting lots of lovely crafters. I will be back! til next time….

Kaisercraft Lady Like ..the first one..

IMG_1854This week I purchased Kaisercraft lady like 6″ pad, a packet of collectables, and a couple of sheets of the 12 x 12 papers. After a lovely afternoon of fussy cutting, dinner was put on the back burner ( literally!) while I made this first card.. I just couldn’t resist ! For this one I used the 12 x 12 papers, and the die is a Uniquely Creative little Leaves die. Today roast is in the oven and I am off to make more, this time with lots of lace, ribbon and bling… til next time…

Pion Days Gone By..and a couple of ideas…

_MG_0016 (Medium)_MG_0017 (Medium)_MG_0020Todays three cards are actually cards I created for a class a few months ago, but I thought I would post them because I think they show how best to get value out of your stash and purchases. There are only 2 pieces  of 12 x 12 patterned paper here, but the papers had 4  6″ x6″ designs on each so I actually had 8 choices altogether.  Minature doily dies cut in half allowed me to make scalloped borders, and a little bit of scrap ribbon never goes astray! the greetings a are dies from my collection. Some pretty matting colours – again hunt through your scraps ( and remember if a layer is covered with another layer who is going to know if you have die cut something out of the middle of it?) All my greetings could have been die cut out of the lower mats but you will never know! I loved the simplicity of these cards, thoroughly enjoyed working with this paper. Now i am off to work on some June lessons, til tomorrow…..

Prima Lavender Frost 8 and 9

_MG_0170 (Medium)_MG_0147 (Medium)Here are my final Prima lavender frost cards for now. These two cards use some of the 12 x 12 papers, and the matching flowers from the range. I also added a couple of die cut swirls and a little chipboard piece that was on my craft desk at the time! Tiny scraps of lace came in handy, as did my little handmade bird on the bottom card. I made the little bird with a mold and some “no more gaps” from the hardware shop! This is not the last you will see of my makes with this paper – we will just take a little break from them for now. I have booked my stall for the craft fair on the June long weekend, and so now a lot of my time  will be spent sorting out all my cards ready for sale! Til tomorrow….

Pion Days Gone By continued….

IMG_8018 (Large)IMG_8020 (Large)IMG_8022 (Large)Here are todays cards, still with Pion Days Gone By collection, beautiful soft colours in this range, and I have just added some lace and ribbon with a little fancy die cut borders . These cards didn’t need anything else, they have a lovely vintage feel about them! Its very warm here just now, I have been lazily playing in the craft room, but also enjoying the season and spending most of my free time with family. I have worked a few days in between and we have been busy putting out all our new ranges.. some gorgeous papers coming through from Mintay , Photoplay and Prima – so lots of ideas buzzing around in my head! Meantime, til tomorrow…..

Last three lemoncraft Yuletide today..

_MG_9680_MG_9682_MG_9684Today we say farewell to my Lemoncraft Paper makes, and these three are made in the same way as the cards on the previous post. I have used a lot of the molds that I made on these cards, and I painted them with prima alchemy paints. I have been busy finishing off my January classes, and they are done now so I have a little window of time to do some ” me ” crafting, and I am thinking wedding cards,I have some new stamps and dies to try out  although you know these plans could go out the window when I actually sit down to craft! Til tomorrow….

Lemoncraft Yuletide collection, easel cards..

_MG_9677_MG_9678_MG_9679I made 6 Easel cards with lemoncraft Yuletide collection, I will show the other 3 next time…Most of the extra bits I added were already on my craft desk, The middle card has a frame I made with a mold and gap filler ( from the hardware shop) and painted with prima alchemy paints. the bottom card has as it’s stopper a Christmas tree decoration which I rubbed with some Nuvo copper mousse to give it a bit of shine. other than a bit of ribbon and lace the rest was  various papers from the collection and a little fussy cutting. Today is my day off, and it is really hot here (35C) . Nathan and I have been grocery shopping, it’s all put away and we are exhausted! I doubt today will be a crafty day, maybe a good day to write out my Christmas cards! Til tomorrow….

More Vintage Lemoncraft Yuletide..

_MG_8318 (Medium)_MG_8337 (Medium)_MG_8338 (Medium)It is still Lemoncraft yuletide designer paper collection on my blog today, lots of matting, and using little leftover scraps as banners, a bit of fussy cutting and not too much more embellishing required, just bits of gold thread, and ribbon. The bottom card had a doily and a foiled chipboard pinecone as well. Everything is inked with tea Dye distress ink.  Today is my craft and chat group so I am off to get some projects sorted although more  chat than craft takes place! Til tomorrow….

Mintay Christmas Stories vintage style 1,2..

IMG_8103 (Large)IMG_8104 (Large)We are taking a short break from kaisercraft Chrismas Wishes to have a look at a few cards I made with MIntay Christmas Wishes collection. This beautiful Christmas collection is very much styled for shabby chic and  vintage card makes. On both cards I have just added a doily and some twine. Nothing else was needed here. I distressed all my edges on the top card and inked with tea Dye ink. I did a little fussy cutting on the lower card but that was it – very simple! til tomorrow….
