Yesterdays Retirement Village lesson…

IMG_6436IMG_6437IMG_6438Todays cards are the cards my ladies made over at the retirement village.Everything used ( except the ribbons on the top two cards) are Stampin Up supplies, and I admit I cheated on these ones taking inspiration from Pinterest! The colours I used on the top card was totally decided by the ribbon – I had it in my stash and was just waiting for a reason to use it- I love it! I always try to do three completely different cards for the ladies, and always include one male card, mainly because they avoid making them,so try to show them different ways of making and enjoying the process! this weekend my crafting mojo has finally reappeared, after going AWOL for a couple of weeks and I have been spending every spare minute in the craft room, so many ideas, so little time! Lots of wedding cards , they are a best seller over at the florists , luckilyn i love making wedding cards almost as much as baby cards! til tomorrow…..

more mothers day cards – Kaisercraft Cottage Rose..

IMG_6439IMG_6440Another Mothers day card, this time using kaisercrafts new release paper Cottage Rose. This is my kind of paper, and for this gatefold card I have used the 6″ pad. The panel on the front is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, and I have used Prima flowers to decorate. I have included 2 photos so that you can see ( sort of) how I decorated the inside panel as well. All the little leaves and twiggy branches were die cut with a great new die from kaisercraft – I love it, and all my scrap green papers are now die cut with it and stored in a container on my desk so that I always have foilage at my fingertips! Today is Village lesson day, so I must head to the craft room to get all my gear together, and remind myself what we  are making- tomorrow I will post pictures of the cards the ladies created.Til tomorrow….

Mothers day, prima tales of you and me

IMG_6433Prima Tales of you and me paper collection and matching die cuts, with some gorgeous prima flowers, and some recycled beading and lace. The birdcage is by kaisercraft and I found it in the bottom drawer of my craft room – a drawer I don’t go into very often but will be sorting out soon to see if there are any more fantastic finds like this one, in there! I inked over the birdcage with tea dye distress ink, and I made my card a DL size ( that’s a 21 x 21 piece of cardstock folded in half and fits into a DL envelope – the size envelope that you don’t like to see in your letterbox cos it’s usually a bill!) to accomodate the tallness of the birdcage! A day off today, shopping done, and i am off to Paper Flourish to seek out new papers! Til tomorrow…..

Prima tales of you and me 1 and 2 Mothers day

IMG_6430IMG_6434The next few cards are Mothers day cards, and I took the photos with my little point and shoot, as Nathan was busy and I needed to get them into my for sale boxes, so the quality may not be up to Nathans standard!I love this new paper range by Prima ( tales of you and me) and I really enjoyed digging through my lace, ribbon and bling, and also did a lot of die cutting. The top card has a kaisercraft die, and the bottom has a memory box fence and gate, and a couture creations lamp post.I die cut a branch in glitter cardstock,I think that one was a kaisercraft die. A bit of fussy cutting, some small flowers, silver thread and a charm.Quick post today as it is back to work for me! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft My cherie thank you..11 and 12…

IMG_6290 (Medium)IMG_6292 (Medium)Here are the last two cards made with Kaisercraft my cherie, for the meantime anyway! These ones are thank you cards – I have made a huge range of cards with different sentiments with this collection, so it’s a great one for all round cards. The top card has a mix of 6′ pad papers and 12 x 12 papers, and the bottom card uses just the 6″ pad.I found some flowers in the bottom of  a drawer, wound some silver thread in the back ground and finished off with a big bow and fussy cut butterfly. My roast is in the oven, my shopping list written out for this week, and now I am going to round up Nathan and his camera and take some photos of  my latest makes ready to post!I must take this opportunity to welcome all my new followers, thank you for joining us, feel free to comment and join in crafty conversations! Til tomorrow….

Thinking of you, kaisercraft My Cherie 10..

IMG_6291 (Medium)Another Thinking of you card using kaisercraft My Cherie paper collection. the background paper is from the 6″ pad, and the sentiment and butterfly are cut from 12 x 12 papers from the same collection, with a few flowers added.I rounded the right hand corners to fit in with the curved lines of the sentiment. Tomorrow i have a couple of thank you cards from the same collection, and then we will move on to some Mothers day cards as that is just around the corner. We have a lovely lovely weekend here weather wise, and I have spent some lovely hours  just sitting in the back yard in the sun, a lazy weekend! Til tomorrow…..

Kaisercract Ma Cherie 8 and 9…

IMG_6289 (Medium)A change of pace today with a couple of thinking of you cards made with kaisercraft ma Cherie paper collection. I fussy cut the flower sprays from a sheet of 12 x 12 paper, and the lovely embossed paper on the background id from the 6 ” pad, as is the greeting and butterfly.very similar cards – subtle differences – the background papers are two different papers, and the cardstock used are two different shades of grey. This morning I was digging through my graphic 45 paper looking for special papers to use for a village lesson, and I need a lot of the same paper as my ladies want to learn how to make a bendy card and graphic 45 is the only paper I have in large quantities – mainly because once home with it I find it very difficult to cut into – I love it that much!Going through it all Ideas were springing from everywhere – I will never have enough time to make everything I want to, but at least I have realised the time has come to use this paper! So any spare time this weekend will be spent with Graphic 45!Til tomorrow….

Bella Blvd Cute baby boy 8,9,10,11…

IMG_6299 (Medium)IMG_6300 (Medium)IMG_6302 (Medium)IMG_6303 (Medium)I skipped a day this week, work hours have been all over the p-lace, anyway, we are looking at 4 cards to make up for it, and to finish off this series of bella blvd cute baby boy cards. I did make some birthday cards with this paper too, and these ones are the bottom two cards. So from the top – the elephant is stamped with a stamp from Stampin up zoo babies, and the balloon die was a freebie from a magazine. The second card is very similar but I fussy cut the bear from some of the paper collection. The third card -I fussy cut the train from the paper collection, the cloud die is from a kaisercraft hot air balloon die set, and I inked around the edges to give more definition.Again free balloon die! and the fourth card I cut a banner from the last scrap of paper, fussy cut the bear and die cut the balloons. I have shown you eleven cards from  my 4 sheets of paper but I did make 19 …brilliant value with this paper. I have done the same or similar with the bella blvd sweet baby girl papers, and I will show you just a few – but we will take a bit of a break from all things baby and have a look at some of the other cards I have been making for a change next time. til tomorrow….

Bella Blvd Cute baby boy 6 and 7

IMG_6295 (Medium)IMG_6296 (Medium)Still with the same 4 sheets of paper from Bella Blvd, and a couple of different techniques here. The top card is an embedded embossing technique, i fussy cut the dummies(pacifiers) from the paper, stuck them onto some white cardstock and then ran it through my big shot in an embossing folder. I love doing this technique! The other thing i did on both cards was stamping – i dug deep into my stamp collection and found this one – by stampin up, but really old!! I cut around the stamped image and then stuck it onto some contrasting cardstock, and cut around it again. this makes little stamps a bit bigger so that you can use them as focal points. I added ribbon bows and a wobbly eye on the duck on the bottom card to finish. Til tomorrow…..

Bella Blvd Cute Baby boy cards 3,4,5..

IMG_6297 (Medium)IMG_6301 (Medium)Another 3 cards made with bella Blvd Cute baby boy papers. On each of them I have die cut a scalloped circle with spellbinders dies, and fussy cut the stork image from the paper.I stamped the sentiment with stampin up Itty Bitty banners, the “perfectly precious”was also cut from the papers, and I just added ribbon bows and buttons.i am spending this afternoon over at Mum and dads, and i will take Luna with me , to give our Foxy a break from her!Til tomorrow…..
