A few boys cards this week. It’s very rare to find paper suitable for boys and teens, so I was glad to see this range from Echo park – That’s my boy. Here I have just layered, and mixed in some stampin up cardstock for a pop of colour. Not too fussy – I had to keep in mind the recipient! Til tomorrow…..

Heartfelt Creations raindrops on roses 1
heartfelt Creations are well known for their embossing folders and dies but did you know they also do ranges of paper? I didn’t until a friend showed me some, and I just had to have some. their paper pads come with papers already designed into card fronts, with enough for cutting your own 3d images, and a range of background papers too.You can make many many cards from just one pad. This card I have made is from the Raindrops on Roses pad, and I just added a ribbon bow and some bling to finish. There are also quite plain designs in the pad as well, and I used one of these inside for writing my greeting on.I hope everyone is having a safe and happy Easter, til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft velvet crush number 13

Today I thought I would show a card I made for our card club challenge. The challenge was to use a whole sheet of kaisercraft velvet crush patterned paper and a length of ribbon on one card. This was a huge challenge for me as my goal is usually to get as much out of one sheet of paper as I can!My bow on the front has become a little loose – something I didnt notice when we took the photo, but ignoring that…on the front I used the ribbon, and a prima button and pearl swirl. I die cut an oval out of the front of the card and sandwiched a length of ribbon between the paper and cardstock, then fussy cut the frames and stuck them on the ribbon, after stamping my greetings. Inside, I also decorated the blank cardstock, and fussy cut the rest of the paper and stuck it on top, and Die cut a butterfly and added rhinestones. One sheet of paper successfully used! Til tomorrow….

A different kind of lesson for that month – it will be interesting to see what the ladies think of it. I have had great fun playing with a couple of new dies from couture creations. I am heading back there in a minute to do some stamping – haven’t done much of that lately, and I am feeling creative! til tomorrow….
