I can’t believe how many cards I have made from this Kaisercraft These Days paper collection. I would normally space the posts out a little bit so that you don’t all get bored seeing the same papers, but as Nathan was busy last weekend we didn’t take any photos of my cards, – tomorrow will be photo day. I added a doily, ribbon, a bling flourish and used my cuttlebug to die cut a sizzix tattered floral which was put together with a kaisercraft brad. I fussy cut around one of the papers for the roses along the bottom of the card.Another Mothers day card done! Til tomorrow….

Back to These days..
After a short diversion we are back to Kaisercraft Papers – These days. I think this is card number 6 with these papers – I have lost count…. A lot of matting on this one – 2 lots of papers from the 6″ paper pad, and a couple of doilies – one which I cut on my cuttlebug. The flowers are prima flowers and I added a flourish also cut on the cuttlebug and a strip of lace. The flower in the centre of the big flower is a kaisercraft brand – this is quite a new line for them, but they are terrific to use in the centre of flowers as an alternative to brads.Maybe time to get in the craft room tonight, Til tomorrow…..
Double and triple easel cards
I have gone back a little bit into the archives, and found a group of cards i did a couple of months ago for a lesson. I used kaisercraft Lil primrose papers and stickers, but the aim of the lesson was to show how to make your easel cards a little more interesting by just cutting the easel part vertically to the fold, once or in the case of the card o0n the left twice. These were truly easy cards, and all the ladies easily mananged them. The main point is to position your stoppers at different levels on the base to truly get the effect . No crafting tonight as its shopping night , always a delight! Til tomorrow….
Hunt and gather re-visited
While I had Kaisercraft Hunt abd Gather paper out making the previous post card I quickly whizzed up this camping card. The cardstock is Stampin Up soft suede, and the sentiment is a stampin up one too.I taught a lesson this morning, and I have spent a little time this afternoon in the craft room doing some girly fairy cards ( I am having a little break from Mothers day cards). Back to work tomorrow, so a little less creating will be happening! Til tomorrow….
Male card – gone fishing…
For a bit of a change I thought I would show this humorous card I made using a stamp set I found while on holidays last year in a little craft shop down the coast. The brand name is Sullivans, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else, but it has some great images in the set, including this one of a rather unlucky fisherman! The papers I used were Kaisercraft Hunt and gather, and I stamped the fisherman a few times, and paper pieced him back together to get this effect. This is my favourite way of stamping.Today I have been making more Mothers Day cards with my new papers, but no photos yet as my photographer has been tied up all weekend with photos for their wrestling shows. They had 2 in a row this weekend, so he has been super busy. Now to organise tea, and then maybe another hour in the craft room.. Til tomorrow….
These Days 3 – a 21st…
Still with our series of kaisercraft these days paper collection, it was perfect to make this 21st card. the keys were in the bag of collectables. i am so glad kaisercraft are bringing these little bag of goodies out with all their collections – such good value. The only extras on this card are the gold brads, bakers twine and the Stampin Up stamp from the perfectly Penned set. Til tomorrow….
These days 2 – Mothers day
This one is kaisercraft these days papers, Sizzix tattered Florals and 3D Flowers dies, and memory box lord faunterloy die. I added a doily, lace, punched leaves, and the greeting was stamped with a stampin Up stamp – Blessed Mother. I like these colours – they make a change from the usual pinks that i often grab for Mothers day cards – What do you think? I will be found in the card room for a little while tonight, making some boys cards. til tomorrow…..
These Days…
Today we are going to start a bit of a series using kaisercraft these days paper collection and the matching collectables. Farewell to English rose
In keeping with my new years resolution to use up some of the paper collections I have accumulated I took out this one – Kaisercraft English Rose, which was released last year before Mothers day. I had made a lot of cards with this paper at the time, it has been a favourite, but it was time to use up the little bits that were left. Who knew I would get so many more cards out of the scraps! I have used various dies, ribbon, cardstock, lace, flowers and bling and still had bits left so I took the leftovers to the Village ladies for them to use on their Mothers day cards for the troops. This photo took Nathan and I half an hour to take, the light wasn’t good, and the cards kept falling. I was up on a chair holding the backdrop and had no control over it so its not as good as nathan likes but I gave up! Today is an exciting day in my blog world because at some stage this afternoon someone is going to be my 30,000th visitor. That number has made me stop and think about all things bloggy! In the past 18 months since I started my blog I think my cardmaking has come a long way, and I have learnt lots of new techniques thanks to the many lovely friends I have made in the crafting world. I have started teaching in that 18 months as well, and some of my students are also my blog followers and my friends. I have developed e -mail friendships with lovely ladies around the world, and I love hearing how life is in other countries.Of course Nathan has been with me all the way as my techie support and my photographer. We have taken close to 600 photos of my cards – to the point that the budgie makes the click of the camera as soon as she sees Nathan coming with it! Would I stop blogging – No Way – it’s like a crafting diary that I just happen to be sharing with as many people as want to see it and I am so appreciative that you all do ! This is a very long post today – I better go or else I will have no time for card making today! Til tomorrow….
Cheers to you 2
Here is the female version of yesterdays stamp set – Stampin Up Cheers to you. I used My Minds eye Be Amazing 6″ paper pad ( I love that shade of blue) and coloured the images with my twinkling h2o’s. The greeting is created with Stampin Up Petite pairs and four frames stamps and a matching decorative punch. Work is finished for the week, and my weekend starts now! Have another couple of orders to do tonight, so thats me organised! Til tomorrow…
