Mintay Precious Memories…

I have a few favourite paper companies, and Mintay by Karole is one of them. There is always lots of fussy cutting potential, ribbon, lace and fabric flowers always look good with it, and it layers beautifully. I have done all that with these four cards. I have made a couple of welcome baby cards and one in particular for a birthday ( that one is for my Great nephew). This week I have constructed my flip album ( woohoo!!) and I am just waiting for my photos to be printed and delivered so that I can start the really fun part..here is a couple of photos of the deconstruction ( of the accordian album) and then the reconstuction…

Mintay Urban Jungle part 2…

Her, as promised are the other 3 cards i have made so far with Mintay urban Jungle..a week late, I know, But things have been happening! First we were sent into a deep lockdown due to an outbreak of Covid. Thankfully our wonderful health professionals were on top of the contact tracing so swiftly we didn’t have to endure a very long “nothing but supermarkets and medical places open” for very long at all, and things are now almost back to normal with minimal restrictions. So a great time to craft I hear you say? No. My son is finally coming home after spending four years interstate, and not being able to see him all this year, there is nothing but excitement here as I empty my craft room to give him a place to lay his head until he gets his own place. Also now that the shops are finally open I have to do a last minute push to finish the Christmas shopping. Crafting will happen, but it is going to be sporadic for a while! In the meantime stay safe, Til next time….

Mintay Urban Jungle part 1…

This week I have some cards I made with Mintay Urban Jungle. I love this collection of papers because we have all these plants here at our house, my son looks after them, and one of these cards will be his birthday card next month! I haven’t added anything to these, just a metal butterfly and a little book print page on the third card. The rest just relied on the papers and lots of fussy cutting. Today is hot and stormy here, lots of thunder and lightning, and very warm, so as humid as you can imagine! We have also just come out of a really hard lockdown, very strict, with no leaving your house except for medical and essential groceries, but we all did it, and now things are back under control, thank goodness!meanwhile, til next time, stay safe….

Mintay Cosy Evening..

IMG_2250IMG_2252This week I was working on a project with Mintay Cosy Evening, and I had a few leftovers. Rather than store them away I made a few cards with them. I added nothing to the finished cards…solely the paper, with a little fussy cutting. I am happy to say all scraps have been dealt with! I have spent so many happy hours sitting at my craft desk, I am so glad I have this hobby at this time, escaping to a happy creating space. I have even taken the time to find some of my older stamp sets, and have been embracing inky fingers again! Til next time, stay safe….

Mintay Bloomville..final two…

_MG_1094 (Medium)_MG_1103 (Medium)Here are my final two Mintay Bloomville cards ( for now anyway!). The top card is a very simple card that I taught to my retirement village ladies, and involves some embossing with a kaisercraft folder, and fussy cutting of assorted Mintay bloomville papers. The happy Birthday is a die. The second card is a double z fold card, with assorted Mintay Bloomville papers to decorate. This week the craft room clean up continues, with various stops along the way to play with unearthed treasures! Til next time…..

Mintay Bloomville…

_MG_1088 (Medium)_MG_1098 (Medium)Mintay Bloomville is a gorgeous paper collection, with glorious colours to work with. Lots of fussy cutting opportunities, but I only did a little bit for these two cards. As with every Mintay collection there is a sheet of really pretty mini card fronts and they are what I used for the focus here. As usual when I am working with any Mintay I did lots of layering..I like to get as much of the different paper on one card as I can ..lol… The only extra I added was the little oval metal on the second card and the sentiments. I have added a photo my  little Luna, who waits patiently for me to move from the crafting table and play with her.. Til next time…._MG_1077 (Medium)

Mintay Together..

_MG_1051 (Medium)_MG_1053 (Medium)Two cards today made with Mintay by Carole Together 12 x 12 paper collection. The top card has lots of fussy cutting, and I have just added a few fabric flowers in the lower left corner, as well as a sentiment. The lower card still has a little fussy cut elements, but has more added bits…lace, a chipboard corner ,white die cut leaves, some more flowers, and an extra layer. the chipboard corner blends in better in real life! I have had a lovely crafty week, but now all the cards I have made need inserts as a finishing touch, so that is my job today! Til next time….

Mintay Springtime…

_MG_0227 (Medium)_MG_0248 (Medium)_MG_0250 (Medium)_MG_0251 (Medium) I made these ones using Mintay Springtime paper collection a little while ago, but got sidetracked with Christmas cards so haven’t posted them until now. All I have used on these ones are the papers ( except for the cut apart greeting) . Just a layer or two of the paper and lots and lots of fussy cutting! I love the colours on these ones! Today i have been trying to clear up my desk a little bit. Even I have to admit there are too many bits and pieces on it so it’s time for a proper tidy. I have filed all the dies back in their place and now I am off to sort out the loose flowers and metals. Hopefully i don’t get distracted!..Til next time….

MIntay Bloomville..

IMG_1586IMG_1588IMG_1590IMG_1592I have had the best fun making cards with Mintay Bloomville paper collection.. I have used nothing but the papers and some cardstock and layering for these ones, and lots of fussy cutting! I haven’t done any crafting this weekend – my son is visiting from Sydney and we had a wedding to attend yesterday. It’s been a busy weekend. This week I am officially packing all the Christmas craft supplies back into the craft storage in the shed, finalising the cruise lesson packing, and then can concentrate on my craft fair boxes..I have to sort through them all and see what is needed in them. That’s me sorted for the week! Til next time…..
