Stampin Up festival of trees stamp set

IMG_8573 (Medium)IMG_8574 (Medium)Every year I try to limit myself to one christmas stamp set, and one christmas die set, mainly because there is such a small window of opportunity to use them, and over the years the christmas stash mounts up and I do use previous years buys in new and different ways as I learn more techniques. This years stamp set buy was this one from Stampin Up. Called festival of trees, in the set is a variety of tree designs, as well as the bird shown here and a few other co-ordinating stamps. I also bought the punch that co-ordinates with this set , its a tree punch which has lots of possibilities besides punching out the stamped trees.the two cards I have shown here are the first two I did with this set, for  a lesson over at the retirement village. The papers I used were in a paper pad that I purchased last year from Stampin Up.today has been the most enjoyable day in the craft room. I laid out my Time to Celebrate papers from graphic 45 and have created so many cards! All different too – little girl type cards, cards for older girls(!), wedding/bridal shower cards, baby cards, and I am heading back in there now to do some anniversary cards before packing up and doing a few more christmas cards! til tomorrow….

Stampin Up wonderous wreath

IMG_8572 (Medium)Todays card was made with mostly stampin up products, the only exception being the Tim Holtz brick wall embossing folder. The wreath is from the wonderous wreath stamp set, and then I used the matching dies to die cut it out, and  the “Noel” ( from glitter cardstock), was also die cut from the same set. This is a great set to use when making a lot o xmas cards all at once! The last fabscraps Vintage Christmas

IMG_8569 (Medium)IMG_8570 (Medium)Thank you to everyone who sent me wishes on hearing my Dad wasn’t well. Thankfully he is back to his normal self now, and just resting at home.Cards today are the last few I made with Fabscraps Christmas paper. For these ones I just focused on the paper, and added some chipboard, seam binding, lace buttons and bling.I taught a lovely class of ladies this morning – it was just the tonic I needed after a stressful couple of days, and I am hoping to see the inside of my craft room over the next couple of days because I am so far behind with my Christmas cards, still have about 100 to do, so its going to be a big push to get them all done this year. Til tomorrow….

fabscraps vintage xmas

IMG_8566 (Medium)IMG_8567 (Medium)IMG_8568 (Medium)I have been missing for a day or two because I have been busy with my dad – he took ill and was admitted to hospital, but I brought him home this morning and he is back to his cheeky self, so much relieved!I have posted a few cards to make up for it though and these are all made with a couple of sheets of Fabscraps xmas paper. One sheet was entirely tags so I made good use of them and that stretched the paper to make quite a lot of cards. I have added assorted ribbon, lace and charms to finish.Today is going to be a lazy day catching up on some lost sleep. til tomorow…..

My Minds Eye Joyous

IMG_8564 (Medium)IMG_8565 (Medium)Todays paper collection is My Minds Eye Joyous. These are the only cards I have made with this paper so far -I keep getting distracted!it is a lovely vintage paper though, and hopefully I get back to it before Christmas! All I had to add to it was ribbon and lace.Today was my first day of holidays, but it was all about spring cleaning today, best to get it all out of the way at the beginning of my short break and look forward to crafting later in the week. Kaisercraft Mint Twist …more..

IMG_8552 (Medium)IMG_8553 (Medium)IMG_8557 (Medium)These are definitely quick and easy cards, most of them just use a couple of the collectables from Kaisercraft Mint twist, and very little paper and extra embellishments have been used at all, so perfect for selling in packs and totally different style to what I usually do!.Today I have been busy with Nathan filming a clip for the paper flourish blog which will be posted on Wednesday. I had some lovely things to play with – some new kaisercraft dies and some of this months Tropical Punch paper from Kaisercraft.Nathan has just told me he has finished the editing so I am off to see how it turned out. Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft mint twist continued

IMG_8549 (Medium)IMG_8550 (Medium)IMG_8551 (Medium)Here are a few more quick christmas cards made with the collectables from Kaisercraft Mint twist. White cardstock, some foam pads and these ones are done! I am popping down to Paper flourish tonight to pick up some of the new Kaisercraft dies and papers, which I am road testing for the Paper Flourish blog next week – can’t wait to see what Tracey has picked out for me to play with! Kaisercraft Mint Twist

IMG_8547 (Medium)IMG_8548 (Medium)And we are back to Christmas makes! Not too long ago I picked up a terrific bargain – I got the 6″ pad and matching collectables ( I think I bought 2 packs of them) in the Kaisercraft Mint twist range and from memory I only paid around $10 for the lot. A bargain when I made so many cards from this set. Here are the first two cards I made -top card just a ribbon bow and couple of rhinestones for texture, and the bottom card uses a piece of the paper pad which I fussy cut around, and a couple of the collectables.I matted the whole lot on to a piece of green cardstock.Til tomorrow….

stampin up wonderous wreath and fabscraps

IMG_8487 (Medium)IMG_8488 (Medium)The top card is made with Fabscraps patterned paper, and lace and ribbon, the second card uses a piece of the fabscraps paper as the background and I used stampin Up Wonderous wreath stamps, and matching framelits dies. The stamps are interesting – you can layer up the colours with different stamps, and then die cut the wreath with the matching die.The word Noel is also from the framelits die set and it comes with the word Joy as well. A handy set to have for christmas makes!I added some ribbon and lace to this one as well.I borrowed this set from my sister, but will probably invest in it myself as it is such a handy die set to have.Next time something other than christmas! til tomorrow….

Fabscraps christmas paper…vintage

IMG_8483 (Medium)IMG_8484 (Medium)IMG_8486 (Medium)Three cards this morning made with Fabscraps christmas paper. I bought a few sheets of this paper, one had images of tags which I cut out, and these pieces are the focus of the cards. Some stampin up cardstock, lace , ribbon, bling, and a charm on the middle card finished these vintage style cards. A couple more to show next time.. til tomorrow….
