Stampers anonymous along with Tim holtz have released a set of stamps that totally appealed to my sense of quirkiness. There are a few different stamp sets in the collection, and I have Bird Crazy,Crazy talk and Crazy things. The birds set have 6 different birds, and the things have lots of accessories for the birds, such as the glasses, birthday hat, balloons and presents in these two cards. These are the first couple of cards I made, and after these two I really let my imagination go as you will see over the next couple of days! now the nitty gritty – the images were stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and a wet paintbrush, then fussy cut out and stuck on white stampin up cardstock, before being mounted on my card bases ( also stampin up cardstock.) The pine cone in the top corner of the christmas card is a stampin up stamp.Yesterday was so hot here, 40C and today is going to be the same. When it’s this hot there is nothing much we can do except sit under the cooling duct – I will get a bit of reading done today!Til tomorrow….
Here are my last Christmas cards for this year,(I think) and all the products used are stampin up from their Christmas catalogue – so,woodland embossing folder, peaceful pines stamp set, perfect pines die set, and the father Christmas image is from the home for Christmas designer paper. I always wonder what to do with myself in the craft room after I have finished my Christmas cards – it takes me a little while to settle back into the rythym – maybe that’s just me or do other ladies feel that ? Today I went and saw my knee specialist, and thought I would be able to go back to work next week, but he said no, not for two more weeks, so I will be returning the week of Christmas. It was a big job he had to fix – split cartlidge, and needs a bit longer to heal. Thats OK – I get to spend a little bit of time in the craft room before I go back! til tomorrow….
All of these cards have two things in common – they all use Stampin up supplies from the christmas catalogue and they were all inspired from pinterest ( you will find the originals on my pinterest board)From the top products used – Home for christmas designer paper ( and some fussy cutting involved) embossing folder – I think it’s called softly falling, cardstock, wonderland stamp set, glitter card and gold trim.I love all of these designs and couldn’t have improved on them at all!Til tomorrow….
Here are the final graphic 45 A christmas carol cards, lots of fussy cutting, and a bit of gold twine, ribbon and bling!. Todays cards are made with graphic 45 A christmas carol – this is graphic 45 ‘s papers for this year, and I have only made a few cards with this collection, It comes out too late in the year for me to use it – I will keep the bulk of it to start me off next year. I added lace, ribbon and gold twine to finish these ones. I managed to sit for a short while in the craft room today, so prepared some cards for januarys lesson – next years lesson already!! Til tomorrow….
here are the last two cards made with prima Victorian Christmas paper colllection, and a little bit of left over kaisercraft paper on the right hand card for the greeting.lace, ribbon, sequins to finish. haven’t managed to sit at the craft table yet – leg still has to be elevated, but it’s only a matter of time now before I get back in there!til tomorrow….
Hello, and it’s good to be back!Thank you for all your best wishes, i have had my knee op and am in recovery mode now – it already feels better, and just have to take it easy for a couple of weeks more, and then should be good as new! todays cards ( 5 of them today) are made using Prima’s new christmas range which is called a Victorian Christmas. Love this paper as it gives me a chance to use my ribbon and lace. I have also used just little bits of last years kaisercraft christmas papers, mainly to add the greetings, on the bottom three cards.Must get back to bed for now, but til tomorrow…..
Back to christmas cards, and these are my favourite cards to create – vintage. it means I can get out my lace and distress inks! I bought just a few sheets of Prima A Victorian Christmas, and I have extended that by using some scraps of last years kaisercraft christmas collections,as you can see on the top two cards. The rest is just layering, I have gone for red and brown, and adding some ribbon and lace to finish. til tomorrow….
Here are the last 5 cards in my simple stories claus and co series ( sorry the top one uploaded twice – not sure what happened there!) The same simple cards as the others in this series with just the addition of ribbon and bling. the bottom card is a gatefold card just for something different! No crafting for me today, still resting the knee so spent most of the day with my laptop in bed sorting out my pinterest boards. a bit like spring cleaning really, and I am happy that they are sorted out. til tomorrow….
After a short diversion we are back to Christmas cards. These ones are made with Simple Stories Claus and co papers and journalling cards.Everything I needed was on the papers, I just added some ribbon and/or bling for a bit of texture.Today I feel I have made some progress with my knee – I had my MRI and x-rays done, and will find out whats going on on monday. Although it is still not good, I can hobble around a bit with the help of Dads walking stick – lucky he has a collection of them!each little trip requires a couple of hours rest afterwards, but not feeling so helpless as I have done all week!little steps…. til tomorrow….
